Y’all are tripping. Hollywood needs to return to epic, heroic, sword and sandals movies like this. This is why movies have lost their magic with young people, young men especially. Hollywood has been impotent for at least a decade now and it’s weird. Annoying.

Disney is really fleecing american collectors. These same steelbooks only cast half in Europe.

I ended up finding Willow on Target online, for $48, and then combine with the (buy 2 get 1 free) i ended up getting another $15 off the price. So basically $33

The transfer is same, but the Studiocanal 4K release is significantly better encoded than the Criterion 4K and improves clarity and grain structure throughout. You can see the difference yourself on capsaholic

It’s a disturbing trend and almost feels like the studios are doing releases like this to get data on whether people will pay the higher price. Disney did something similar with Inside Out 2. They released the 4K as a limited edition steelbook only for $55. It sold out before release day and supposedly won’t be released again. The only way to buy the movie now is as a dvd or Blu-ray.

Mysterious Skin is a good yet disturbing film, and has my favourite Joseph Gordon-Levitt performance. Miracle Mile makes for a great late night watch. Brian Thompson’s role is certainly different to The Terminator, and The X-Files as the alien bounty hunter. There’s so many recognisable faces featured from different films/series - Robocop, Aliens, Reservoir Dogs and Star Trek TNG. Finally, I have a confession. I watched Lawnmower Man 2 at a Midnight showing at the cinema!🫣😄

I love Willow, but $65.00 is just highway robbery. These greedy companys are pricing people out of the market. No 4k movie is worth $65.00. I'll just keep my crappy dvd for now. If it ever comes down to $40.00 then i'll buy. You rock guys!!!

Yes, it's way overpriced, but I pre-ordered the Steelbook anyway as it's a childhood favourite. Being a Disney title means it won't come out here in Australia at all so it still would have been expensive to get any edition on 4K.

The price of Disney distributed titles is completely out of hand. Sixth Sense, Signs, Deadpool 3, Willow… and the list will grow. Feels like market testing. “How high can we raise prices before people stop buying?” and then when we do they’ll blame us and tell us to sub to D+. F Disney

The decline began with the 2000s, like Baldwin said here the stories got worse and I think the acting too and of course the whole cinematography thing changed. That Hollywood will die isn't such a bad thing, I wish they'd stop making new movies right now today because 99,9% is total garbage anyway. It's over. Forget about it. Concentrate on preserving of all the movies from the past good and bad ones, let future generation watch those there's enough there worldwide to (re)discover and last as great entertainment for an eternity. We don't need new products anymore, the best is already made goes for music and TV too, shut it all down and let the studios become museums for people to visit.

When I was a kid in the 80's/90's, I used to always see this creepy horror cover in the movie rental stores in my town.I can't remember the name, but I remember it was a girl facing forward with part of her face missing exposing her skull underneath.
