Nice flying! Nice aeroplane. I want one! I built aerobat C-IAVW, a biplane; a poor man's aerobatic a/c. Flew like a dream - push-pull control tubes; differential frieze ailerons... CAVU skies to you and all aviators!
Thanks for super video, I am about to engage in regain my PPL after 30 years, and gain the PC6 credits! May I ask you why to land on grass instead on runaway, is it to spear the wheels (sorry if you answered already to this question earlier).
Are you missing the wing stall tabs on the inboard upper leading edge or are they no longer required. I used to set them on test flights after rebuild / major servicing so that it stalled evenly. Like, hang off the prop and fall forward and go into beta
Grass is a lot more forgiving than pavement when it comes to landing a tailwheel. Get a tailwheel aircraft a bit sideways on grass, and the grass will let it skid and you'll have time to recover. Try that on pavement and a tyre will catch and things get noisy and expensive real fast.
@@RPG4meRS I don't know if EASA has a separate taildragger endorsement, but you'd need that too (FAA does)... I noticed he landed in the grass rather than on the pavement. It's more forgiving that way; the grass will let the tyres slide a bit. On pavement if you get the bird the least bit sideways it wants to get expensively out of control very quickly. Not a career enhancing move when you've got somewhere around seven figures' worth of engine out there... But yes, Commercial license, high performance and taildragger endorsements plus oh, I'd guess ten runs or so worth of dual until you get the hang of it would suffice... it would be a great way to build time towards flying something bigger, or you could decide that's what you love and stay with it, you wouldn't be the first...
Hey! Any chances to join pilot team ? I fly turboprop piper m600 (470 hours )with garmin g3000 , total time 1000 hours. and also i have 688 jumps, and worked as an operator for tandem jumps. making videos:D I 'm usually based in Wiener Neustadt with my plane, LOAN, please let me know if its possible. Thanks.
I noticed he wasn't going up very fast... but down? Yeah. That's gotta hurt after a while. It's not a job to be afraid to call in sick from; you get your ears full of gunk and try to powerdive like that and you can do some serious damage...
The most high tech door latch puller😂
Yeah...I laughed on it & watched it works 3x times
couple years ago I did my 1st Tandem jump from 14,000 feet at Skydive Orange in Virginia. What a Blast that was. I really enjoyed this video, Thanks!
Oh wow! I used to fly that exact Porter (SN-689), back in 2000, when it was VH-MKT in Australia. Magic machine! Great video. Thanks for sharing!
The music tells me that this is an enterprise of truly heroic proportions! (A good 'trailer ' parody ;- )
Schon cool die Porter! Wär toll eine privat zu haben
I’m loving this Porter stuff!

Love a PC-6 😊
WOW, what a ride! Thanks
I love the door puller.
Super !
Lul
Beyond VNE?
Is that accurate?
Nicely Shot 🤩
Thanks ;)
I would love to be a jump pilot flying this to take up the fun jumpers and tandem up to 12,500 in this Beast
That brings back some memories :-)
5:12 169kts on descent? thats scootin'
Man I miss flying a Porter! Got about 250 hours in one before it got sold.
Excellente vidéo super çà c'est la réalité.
Bravo RCK.
Thank you sharing. God bless.
Great images...nice
Incredible
Excellent vídeo, congratulations.
awesome dude
Hallo I dit much more thane 300 jumps from the Pil, nice plane , a little to smal for 9 or 10 people
Great video!

The Porter looks like a War Machine Airplane, like an inexpensive A-10 Warthog.
geil, wie der Pilot bei Landung und Taxi voll durchs Gemüse pflügt ;-) #whoneedstarmac :-)
Owe of the best Bluses ewer buoilt
These are fun planes to jump out of. They get to altitude very fast.
That’s how it’s done to beat the skydivers down to pick up another run
What is the rotating thing on the roof of the cockpit ?
Flaps
later PC-6s had electric flaps
trim

A very good flight. I love Pc-6 but it's not easy neither to land nor take off. Hard and STOL capacities.
Wteckless flying going well beyond VNE!
There is no VNE for groundspeed!
@@rickegarner8111Looks like an airspeed indicator to me.
Why does it land in grass?
I want to fly it
Hi! Why did you land on grass, but not on tarmac?
same my question
To minimize load on the gear.

why on land on grass?
Very cool vid - thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏼
I assume landing on grass is for preserving the life of tires, this aircraft is going up and down many times in a day of jumping
I dig the door close technique.
Low tech = Best tech
By the way, 5:59....is that trim? weird placement if it is, kinda like the idea of it though.
Yes it's Trim
Vne = 151kt for the PC-6 B2/H4 :-D i hope the indication of 170kt is the GS
Anyone know why he landed on the grass beside the strip?
Grass runway is more forgiving to the tires and if you are a bit sideways
The skydiving plane I flew was a Cessna 172!
The pilot is so young ! What licence do you need to fly the porter and how many hours. ? Thank you. !
I guess CPL(A) with HPA-Rating should be fine for doing this ;-)

You'd have to contact the JumpClub Krems for that :)
5:12 169 kts! Ist das Dein Ernst?
It would be Groundspeed.
what about making this plane into cross country family plane
Hi! Thank you for video! I'm pilot and also fly in PC6. In what city are you working?
City of Krems/Danube (LOAG)

I bet your ears hurt after doing that all day. But I bet it's fun as hell

lose the music man.. wtf
Sorry but the loud music ruined it.
Well, I guess there are enough vids of PC6 without any music ;)
@@bravocharliekilo True, but this one seemed like there would have been a lot of nice engine, wind sounds, etc. Still a good vid though.
Why always the ridiculous 🎵🎶?
always the terrible music in these videos
Awful background music. Please remove it.

I thought the video was about the airplane, thanks anyway.
The music is awful
A scorching nose dive at 120
I love to jump out of the Pilatus Porter PC6T 🛩️🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂
