  • This is a quick unboxing to show you what you get with the new Viltrox 56mm F1.7 "portrait" lens.
This is a super cheap lens and super small and light. I'll be making a comparison video to show you how it compares to the Viltrox 56mm F1.4 version.

Actually so am I! I like the fact this is so light and tiny. If it’s even close to the F1.4 I’ll be happy. Since I’ll use it for portraits I don’t really need absolutely biting sharpness anyway - and the price tag puts it in reach for so many people.

@@mygoodstuffreviewed I am also looking for a portrait lens, but don't wait to break the bank haha, so I agree if this performs even close to their 1.4 it'd be a great value. I really like what the third party manufacturers are doing right now, especially in the ~56mm range with the new TTArtisan and Meike offerings as well.

@@ofthenearfuture I must confess, there are some really good value lenses coming out. I got the Viltrox 20mm - nice little lens - and the TTArtisan 10mm (manual focus). I'll be making some review videos with those now the weather is getting better.
As for the 56mm F1.7, I'm about to start doing some testing now (only got it yesterday) so hopefully I'll be posting a comparison video by the middle of next week.

@@mygoodstuffreviewed I'm actually also quite interested in the TTA 10mm f2! I've got the 16-80 which is already pretty wide, but a rectilinear ultrawide would be a lot of fun, and it's a great price as well. But I will look forward to your upcoming video on the 56!
