A guy on Etsy makes the smash bros banner available for purchase, I’m sure he’s gonna update it with sora soon so you can check it out there. I’m also gonna be buying one once the final product is available

In my opinion, both Sephiroth and Sora topped everyone else, but in specific categories. Sephiroth being the most badass and Sora being the most epic. THE DREAM DID NOT DROP I AM STILL CRYING FROM THIS!
For a boomer like me, Banjo's trailer was easily the most heartwarming, nothing like seeing these Rare buddies come together again for what's probably the last time

Fun little thing: in Sora's trailer, the lyrics for Lifelight line up with what is happeing:
Colors weave into a spire of flame (Smash Logo)
Distant Sparks call to a past still unnamed (the logo fizzles out into a small bonfire)
Bear this torch agaisn the cold of the night
(Mario grabs and throws the fire)
Search your soul and reawaken the undying light
(The Keyblade froms and summons Sora)

The Kingdom hearts 3 intro also matches with lifelight there are no coincidences this has been set into motion ever since Sora won that poll 6 years ago if nobody got us Sakurai got us

Facts.
This actually made me deadass cry. It made me truly realize how important smash and ALL of these characters and franchises were to make my childhood and just general overall enjoyment of gaming as a medium.
Despite its flaws, Super Smash Brothers Ultimate is a masterpiece and truly is a shining achievement in the gaming industry as a whole for what it has managed to achieve.
Rest well Sakurai, you’ve outdone yourself to the fullest extent of your power and it’s great to see your vision come out just as fantastically as you imagined

smash 6 might be a thing when nintendo releases a new main console, but not anytime soon. maybe 3-4 years from now, most likely lot of the more complicated roster picks which includes sore and the characters from bandai, square and atlus wont make a return though...

This is so bittersweet. I'm sad Smash Ultimate is no longer getting new fighters, but I'm so happy it ended on Sora and experiencing this journey with all of you has been an amazing period of my life.
However, I will continue playing and loving Smash Ultimate. I look forward to whatever the future holds for us! 🥰🙏
The fact that it gives you that emotion means that Kingdom Hearts was the perfect series to end on.
Even though it looks like happy a Disney game on the surface it still carries a sense of melancholy which is only added by the fact that for the main characters the endings aren't always good. Sure the universe is always saved but we usually lose a friend along the way(not die just unable to see them).
So the game does carry that bittersweet feeling, despite it's less than stellar writing, add that to the fact that for the fighter ballot and the majority of Ultimate Sora was ranked 1 of characters that people wanted and that means that Sora is the best final, dare I say Ultimate, character to end on.
Also this means that Disney might not extend the copyright to Mickey if they let Sora in so this is an absolute win
I dont play KH but still I feel Sora was the perfect character to end the roster, given how requested and popular he is, I know it was a big deal for millions of people and even for Nintendo since it must have been pretty complicated getting him into the game, you can see they didnt miss their chance and put a lot of effort in this character.
Smile, it's not over till it's over. We still have until the 18th to ride that hype train one last time!

I have actually heard a news before that sora will be on smash, just months or a lot of months ago, but I just didn't believe it, I thought on that time it's just the fans fact. I didn't see it coming that sora will really be on smash

god this is so well done. my favorite part is at 1:43 where the tails of joker's coat transition into the movement of the sephiroth & cloud fight (which i just noticed the clashes of their swords go with the music oh my god)

Watching something like this just makes me think more and more that Sora was the perfect final fighter to include... in KH everyone is connected through Sora and just like in Smash every fighter has connected and touched the hearts of someone, somewhere. Seeing every single fighter here connected with each other just makes Sora the perfect symbol of that.
Something that I really love about this video is that LITERALLY everyone is here...even Iwata and Reggie...

The transition from Ryu to Ken doing the exact same warmup move had me hyped to levels I forgot I could get to.

Dang… that made my heart hurt. Honestly endgame’s scene with all the characters coming through the portals and Sora flying into smash have to be the most amazing moments for me as a fan of comics and video games.

Just like Super Mario 64 inspired Nomura to create Kingdom Hearts, Mario is the one who brings Sora in by forging the Keyblade and passing it to him. That was spectacular symbolism.

I got a little spoiled on it because I was at work when it aired, but everyone was saying it was a port. When I finally saw the reveal myself, I realized that at no point was that ever said, and this had to be an entirely new game. It was wonderful.
Man I still remember running down the stairs to beg my sad for smash 64 after that costume trailer. Amazing to see how much this series has grown over the years. Sakurai should be proud of what he has created here.
Okay, the way Ryu flashes into Ken at 1:11 before showing Terry and Kazyua was fucking outstanding. This whole video was amazing, but that one transition was godly

Oh my gosh this’s amazing. It feels like I’m watching a movie production with all the clever shots like “From the distance sings a chorus of souls” as Byleth flies off, “Fan the flames scattering ashes through the wind” as she shows Pyra, (which her main element is fire) “Stretching out beyond time” as Shulk does the exact same thing. This’s awesome great job Tiffany. 👍🏻

I got goosebumps seeing Iwata and Reggie’s Miis from that Mii trailer
After watching this, it's now setting in that Smash Brothers, the franchise I was into ever since I was 5, is over. This whole video is just one big nostalgia trip. And I can't only appreciate because of its nostalgia. I love how you make everything work. With transitions, the beat of the song, just EVERYTHING of the video. My favorite scene has to be 0:13-0:16. That part is so creative, with the eye reflections.

Super Smash Brothers Ultimate is a love letter to gaming. So many characters, so many franchises, crossed over in what was deemed impossible, and unheard. And Sakurai made that dream come true.

Without smash I would've never knew about there existence and would loved them as much as I currently do. I had a friend who really wanted Sora in smash and I have doubted because of Disney....But boy did that quickly change. I never in my life think Sora was ever possible but somehow they actually did it...honestly it still does not feel real. I wanted smash to go out with a bang and not end like fighers pass one with Byleth (I do like Byleth btw but not a character to end with). Sora is the most requested fighter ever so it makes sense to end with him. They really went all out with 4 costume changes 5 if you include timeless river (which looks amazing probably one of the most advanced color swaps in the game). I don't know how smash can go any higher from here. Well whenever the console is after the switch we will know.
Thank you mr sakurai for the time and effort you spent to make the greatest game on this planet. And please...take a break please don't go immediately working on the next smash title again. You deserve at least a year break.
