She is just a very young teenager, 14 here, a rare and gorgeous true contralto. She was an abused child and orphaned, then her adoptive mother took her to singing lessons aged 5 hoping they would help her to speak, then this amazing voice grew out of it. She is mentored by Igor Krutoy. Listen to Human, Rechenka and Wicked Game to hear her voice at it's best. She has been performing on stages from early childhood so is pretty professional 💖

She is Diana I am not sure that she realizes the extent of what she maybe capable of' vocally. These pieces are excellent blizzard is outstanding' but some of her newer recordings such as Cranes just phenomenal.
Diana is neat! She even does cooking videos on her channel...her personal channel has some great clips...she is a natural dancer and dances with her pets...the cat's reaction is priceless.

Big fan of Diana for a couple of years now. She does have vocal training in yodeling which she plays with in some of her songs. This Show called " You Are Super" features some of her best work. Blizzard is my favorite but really man they are so beautiful. 17 now

Rechenka, Wicked Games, and Human are my favorites for showcasing her abilities. Then again, her repertoire is ever growing. She has a YT channel with a wide variety of videos, from the homemade to the professionally polished. I love how she gets into the character and spirit of each piece: very mature and professional.

Her name is pronounced Dee-ana. She has many great covers out there...this song is actually a french song...she also has songs in Russian and English and Spanish....she's s contralto. Usually people react to Wicked Game first, then Rechenka, and then Human. Rechenka probably shows off her range the best, but Wicked Game and Human really shows how accessible to regular people. Derniera Danse usually comes later.
Please which authority said she is a contralto? People have surmised but she has not been thus shown. BTW I love her voice I just like proof.
Rechenka is most amazing, as is Human.
And really worth a listen is her Yodelling on a talent show as a youngster.

Diana has that 'wow' factor, and if the fates are kind will reach the highest echelon of performance artists. Her voice is unique. She commands the stage and makes each song her own. Derniere Danse is the first of seven performances on this Russian show for disadvantaged kids. Performed when 14 and 15 years old, these performances (plus Yodel Time at 13yo) are the central cannon of Diana's 'early' period. Her developing maturity and range at 16yo is a journey all its own. Igor Krutoy doesn't really work with Diana. She only sings a song by him 'Tomorrow is a Lie' but he has enabled her to move to Moscow. He gave her an apartment, so that she could continue her vocal training with the best teachers and start studying after school.
I'd recommend Rechenka, Blizzard and Wave (Wave being recent but audio only as far as I can find).

Actually, it was while listening to her, the reactions to her voice, that I discovered Dimash. Therefore, Diana became for me almost a native person.
