She had two voice teachers a man and a female, she usually release at least one song every month, when she practice with them some unique tunes Diana modified them into her song, and there is a lot of connection between the family and the voice teachers and certainly they both hear it with the band and agree with any new adaptation also Igor as well. I think she is in the best hands.

You might check out her audition for The voice Russia, 13 years old, she competed with an yodel song and was not chosen by any of the judges. They explained that they did not know what to do with a voice like hers, but asked to sing something else, so she dared to sing ( I say dare, because of the age) No, rien de rien, Edith Piaf. It's so easy to get a tad hyperbolic with Diana but in all honesty I'm not at all sure it's actually possible to over-praise her, she's that good. It's not just her dark, velvety captivating tones, nor her apparent effortless ability to glide up and down the registers, but also her fearless stage presence that she appears to have been born with. It's the whole package that's so, so good. And as if that wasn't enough when you see her interviewed it's hard to imagine a more humble, charming character. She truly is a cut above us mere mortals and thoroughly deserves all our praise and fandom.
Couldn't have written it better, although the "better or worse" thing somehow seems to be wrong, because this is far from how Diana thinks.

Thank you for your reaction, and the back story on Diana.... I would just like to say something without taking anything away from Diana and her strength to overcome the odds of a terrible begining. I love diana and her music, but the strength and the fight and the will had to have come from the love and care and devotion of the parents that adopted her and took her out of that horrific begining, i just dont think enough had been said or mentioned about the heart and soul and the people that chose Diana with their wonderful and loving heart!!!

Your Super is the name of the competition ,Diana won it outright . Igor presented Diana with a apartment in Moscow after she won ,lovely story )))
Diana's voice has dropped since these clips , she explains in a youtube clip how she used to go deeper deliberately but as she's matured in the last couple of years into a young Woman and her voice naturally broke and went even deeper which worried her because she doesn't want a limited range of just deep . She's been working on her higher range and you can see in her fantastic cover of Take On Me she is developing beautifully . That is a recent song so you can do a reaction to it but first cover her older songs please .
She had a rough childhood at the very young age but I don't think she chooses songs because of that or it affects her because she has a lovely Mum and family as anyone can see since she was adopted at about 4 or so and taken care of ,she's always got the biggest smile you've ever seen and loves to perform even at the age of 5 . Her Mum took her for singing lessons because she hardly spoke and it was to help her speaking . I think they fixed her pretty good ))). Like Forest Gump and his bad legs but this was real life )) .

A Russian wedding custom was to sing sad songs (crying). That chased away evil spirits and should bring good luck.
Igor Krutoy doesn't really work with Diana, he is not her sponsor or mentor (that says Diana in a interview few weeks ago). She only sings a song by him 'Tomorrow is a Lie' but he has enabled her to move to Moscow. He gave her an apartment, so that she could continue her vocal training with the best teachers and start studying after school.
As I understand it, her Moscow fans gave her a home studio for her 17th birthday ... and now she's experimenting hard. There are great videos already.
I think her first was a song called yodeling on another show, apparently it was fixed for someone to win and Diana didn't continue even though you could tell the judges and fan reaction made it obvious she should have. Almost seems she was brought to this show to showcase her.
I'm really glad you reacted to this song, one of my favorites from Diana. You may have mentioned it before, but in this performance what most caught me is the age-defying dramatic sense, and the theatrical presence, is very powerful.
I really like his personality as well and I hope he doesn't grind into show business

This is an old wedding ritual song, it's like a puzzle, it consists of phrases taken from ritual songs. Where it is sung in a whisper is like the words of a deceased mother, because in Russia since ancient times it was believed that the river is the border between the world of the living and the dead, as in the mythology of others countries. So the girl-orphan came to the river to tell the mother that she was being given away for the unloved, to a strange family, ask for blessings and cry.
Out of all the songs she tried, "Blizzard" always gets me when i listen to it (/watch?v=1_4lFqKM3GA). I think this song does her very deep female voice justice and it just sounds fantastic. It's just so very different from everything else you normally get to hear and it's a privilege being able to witness this little one doing her magic.
And if you haven't hear about this before, let me be the one to tell you that Diana had a pretty rough early childhood. It's been a while since i've read about it so don't quote me on my words. But we are talking about parents that were abusive, her living in an orphanage and at some point in time she wasn't able to talk anymore. It's just heartwarming to see her defying everything negative life has thrown at her. She's not just an inspirational singer, her very existence alone is an inspiration.

Nice reaction and comments. There are videos out there that show some of her work with her vocal coach which she has had all alone. Im not sure you are going to see Diana making and recording at the same rate as an Angelina or Dimash as she is focused on her education as well. I found it interesting while I was listening to one of her recent question and answer sessions that the song Human from this same show You Are Super is her most comfortable singing style and range. She mentioned she was more able to stretch her vocal range when she was 14/15 and just recently focusing more on her head voice as her natural tone drops. When you catch up a bit to her more current material you will see at 17 a change in the way she manipulates her voice. She always seems to be so relaxed and not under much strain in her neck.

Prior to Diana's first performance ("Derniere Danse") on You Are Super, she auditioned for The Voice Kids Russia. She performed a song called "Jodel Time." This song shows how well she can yodel, and it sets the stage (pun intended) for pretty much everything that she has done after that. The unfortunate part about this audition is that none of the judges turned their chairs. I like to think that she got her revenge by winning You Are Super... twice.

I don’t know if you have listened to her sing (Human) yet but you will be amazed, she seems to from what I can make out to possess most all the contralto abilities to some degree.
Yes there are times when you hear several tones as if there was more than one person all at one time.
First time I heard Diana, I thought of the famous French singer Edith Piaf with her low voice. One of my favorites was her performance of "Non, je ne regrette rien". Later I actually found a video of Diana singing the same song when she was 14 - ruclips.net/video/zSE_HsLqntU/видео.html - if you listen to both you can hear the similarities in their voices and I think Diana is actually a little bit better (Edith was much older in this video). I'm also amazed at her command of the different languages that she sings in, her English is very good and her french is almost flawless and she really seems to understands what's she's singing and not just learning the words.

Diana was on a competition program where she showed off her yodeling skills. I will post the link to that at the end. None of the judges turned for her. It caused an uproar at the time. Instead of giving up, she worked on developing her lower voice and returned two years later to win. This performance of Rechenka is from that show.

Diana Ankudinova is not a singer (in the sense of simple singing) - she tells a story with body and soul... and this with every song I have heard from her so far.
Every time I listen to "Rechenka" (and see, I understand the meaning without being able to understand a word of Russian)), it overflows me with icy cold, I have goose bumps all over my body.
...maybe this extraordinary voice is the compensation for her so difficult childhood.
In my opinion Diana is one of the best performers in the world at the moment. And my favorites are "Rechenka, Wicked Games and Deniere Danse" Especially this song has a touch of arabic music. I know this singing style and sounds from Turkey and Egypt - I love this music.
Maybe you can hear the influence of Algeria (former French colony, I think) in this song ?!
