@@ariel8817 yeah, but Hamilton was Instrumental to Jefferson's election in the election of 1800, at that time the there were only 2 major candidates for election, Democratic-Republican Candidates, Thomas Jefferson and Aaron Burr, Supposedly John Adams Was supposed to Run for a second term under the Federalist Party, But Hamilton ruins it by Writing a secret letter supposedly to be read only by Federalists in private that was attacking Adams, But somehow got leaked to the press and published
Since Adams was dropped from the ballot, There were only 2 Candidates left, Since there were no Federalist Candidates, they had to choose which Republican Candidate to Vote, Many of them thought that it would be a good idea to vote for Burr, But Hamilton insists to not Vote for Burr and would rather vote for Jefferson, Because according to Hamilton, He would rather vote for Jefferson who had principles, rather than Burr who had no principles, So Hamilton encouraged his Federalist Friends to Vote for Jefferson instead of Burr
So that's reason why Jefferson was elected 3rd President of the United States of America

I know I'm totally late to this but I also interpreted it as Hamilton can move anywhere on the board (it just might take a hot second) while Burr has very strict regulations on where he can and cannot move (and what he can and cannot do). With both ideas working together it somewhat summarizes the the personalities and differences between the characters(and how the public sees them).

@@helloworld76048 I'm back! A full 24 HOURS later! *I have too much time on my hands* Another thing to note is that most players while playing chess actively try to advance their knights on the board while they seem to neglect their rooks even though rooks can be the most influential pieces on a chess board in scenarios and can totally change how a game will turn out (showing how Hamilton can change the entire course of history with his writings and yet can get often overlooked). Many times when you play chess (or at least when I play) with a computer if you have the option to promote a pawn and the computer is in a spot where it can take that promoted pawn; if you change that pawn into a queen it gets captured immediately. If you promote it to a rook the computer seems to overlook it and that causes its downfall because it doesn't interpret the rook as an important piece letting you capture the king. (This could also show how many people could overlook Hamilton and cause their own downfall because they don't immediately see him as a threat while he can have the power to end the game or change history as we know it). All in all, the rook is a powerful piece and many are fools to overlook it.(I have NO clue if any of that made sense! If it didn't, welp, I can explain it again! *no really I have too much time on my hands, it scares me*

He is but I amdire Hamiltons values, he is fighting for a cause, he Burr to join him, and burr said no. He became a democratic repblican, because their was a position open and took it from Alexanders father in law. This is also thr party that opposes Hamilton, Burr doesn't seam to have an opinion. Hamilton isn't the only person who has that opinion, Jefferson says in this song that "he is not forthcoming on any particular stanses". We also see him avoid questions. Even when he wants to in the room where it happens he doesn't seam to have any clear beliefs, other than just wanting to part of the action. It's extremely dangerous to vote for someone if you don't know their ideals.

I thought it was kind of funny how Hamilton had initially went to Burr for advice, in the song, "Aaron Burr" but in this song, it's Burr who desperately wants his vote and doesn't get it

They both sort of learn from each other. In Room Where It Happens Hamilton admits he's going to talk less and smile more to reach his deal with Jefferson and Madison. And in this song Burr admits Hamilton showed him to go all out for the thing he wanted.

    • @dsmith24able
      @dsmith24able 2 года назад +10

It was a great role reversal. I felt that Hamilton was trying to give him a chance to win his vote by asking if there was anything he wouldn't do. Burr's answer doomed his election. Hamilton, throughout their whole history together, has been seeking to discover what Burr truly believes and stands on. Of course, Hamilton got killed over this but Burr never revealed that to him or to anyone i guess 😄. All we know is that he wanted to be in the room where the decisions are made. I agree with Hamilton that a guy that doesn't have believes is dangerous in a position of leadership over a nation. A leader without boundaries is a recipe for chaos.

Okay, I'm usually not the kind of person to do something like this but this animatic made me freaking overjoyed! I don't know how and I don't know why I just keep wowing at everything about this. And here's 10 reasons why:
1.) The freaking chess metaphor at the beginning. Now that wAS AMAZING AS FUCK. That was so creative and I had been listening to that song since AGES and I had never realized how a chess game can paint that scene so perfectly. Great job!
2.) The freaking puddle's reflection when Hamilton stepped over it. GENIUS!
3.) Hamilton's reflection in Burr's eyes was beautiful! I thought that it was just detailing at first but goddamn did it blow me away.
4.) The flashback behind Hamilton though. How long did that take?? That was insane!
5.) The fluid laugh where Jefferson and Madison's shoulders move realistically. HOW BOI HOW
6.) The fluid freaking transitions! Am I watching anime or what?
7.) Burr and Hamilton's awkward conversation was priceless lmao
    8.) 0:56 Jeffmads eyyyyyyyyyy
9.) 3:57 Can we talk about how lonely that frame looked? I literally felt Burr's sadness and disappointment right then and there.;(
10.) And of course. The freaking ART MAN THE ART!

I find the chess metaphor particularly clever as well; Adams is a pawn, doubtless vital to the game, but on its own not very powerful and easily bowled over as the game goes on. Hamilton is the Rook; direct, aggressive, but held back early on and constantly leaving itself open to attack. When Jefferson makes his move, he uses the Bishop, signifying his way of flanking people and waiting for the opponent to walk into his ambushes.
And the animatic on its own paints a pretty clear picture of why Burr is the knight, but one detail I find particularly fun: the way a knight moves means that it always needs to land on a space opposite the color it started on. The knight is a _flip-flopper._

A new animatic from the animator who uploaded my favorite Hamilton animatic ever?? What a way to start the day :D
I absolutely loved the opening with Jefferson and Madison playing chess (and Madison crying ;-;) where the pieces represented the different characters (Burr as the knight was super clever), the animation on Happy Burr™, the reflection in the puddle, and Drunk Burr™ in his exchange with Hamilton. This sort of attention to detail and visual creativity is exactly why you're one of my favorite Hamilton animators out there :D

    • @pevelis9939
      @pevelis9939  7 лет назад +14

I'm glad you've noticed that Burr is represented as a knight. He is very witty and prefers to wait for his moment, where he can "jump over" his rivals, rather than facing them directly. In contrast, Hamilton is shown as a rook, because he moves straight to his goal without any fancy turns.
Also, Burr is not drunk in that scene, he is just very tired and anxious, because of all his pre-election activities. He is not used to work so hard and he certainly lacks sleep. Well, that's how I interpreted his lines.
Thank you for your kind words! I'll try to make more animatics!

Hoooooooooly shit my dude, this is incredible. The fucking camera movements, the creative angles the shots take, the expressions throughout, THIS WHOLE THING IS FUCKING ASTOUNDING TO ME. You breathed SO MUCH LIFE into every line of dialogue, every single expression conveys the story beautifully. Burr’s somewhat sleazy nature shines through here in a way most people forget to convey, but the last shot still gives you an immense amount of sympathy for the character. This is straight up my favorite Hamilton animatic to date; you clearly put A LOT of thought and effort into making this, and for that I’m really really grateful.

the parts I love are the ones like Jefferson when he says what, the transition between "vote for burr!" and the newspaper, the "burr" chess piece jumping away, jeff and adam's shoulders moving to their laughter, alex moving the paper to show his vote,, along with alex's lip sync, and burr's nervous and his "sugar high" kind of movements when they meet up before the voting.

Like I kept rewinding to certain parts in the animatic just to re watch them because the transitions were so smooth! The bit in "tell your husbands to vote for Burr!" and then it pans from the scene to a photograph in the papers? Beautiful! In the beggining from the pamphlet to Jefferson and Madison? The was so cool (also Madison's face when he said "please"? Absolute gold)! The characters are fantastically drawn and this animatic is just so well crafted, I'm in awe.
    Have a lovely day!
    :))

I skipped a heartbeat when Burr said, “Burr has none”
Jefferson said, “ because i’m the president.”
And “ thank him for the endorsement.”

1.) Damn I'm trying to create a Hamilton animatic to this and you beat me to a lot of these ideas lol
2.) I love the chess part. Really shows the opposing sides and "fighting" going on ^.^
3.) When Burr gets a cold denial to both q hug and handshake xD

    This was really, really good.
Also it made me like, feel things. Sympathy for Burr every time he got rejected and cringing at his see through attempts to be bright and happy all the time. Also the chess scene and transition was absolutely BRILLIANT!
All came together for an amazing animatic. Good job!

It honestly sucks how this channel up and left, the characters feel so REAL in the animations, and with so many cool details and symbolism you may not realize on your first watch!

All the actions and emotions are so dramatic and it makes it very clear how everyone is feeling as well as entertaining. I like how each scene went to the next scene nicely.
