chipsndips Aww, I’m super happy for you! I fell fast and hard when I first got into it, just be careful for miku binders, it was an odd time in our lives
I've watched this a million times. The fact that when burr confronts hamilton he seems yellow but when burr follows him into the room its purple, only lit by a candle. The fact that Hamilton BLOCKS the light from hitting burr in the room. The fact that the doors turn into CARDS as you hear "no one knows how the game is played". The cards having their faves on them. The painting of them shaking their hands but looking pained and fake. Burr watching from outside of the room and jefferson walking in front of his silhouette. THIS IS THE BEST HAMILTON ANIMA TI C BY FARRRR
That’s what’s sad about Hamilton, so many people think he’s the big hero and burr’s the monster when, in reality, if you look back in deeper you realize that some of the things Hamilton did were totally crazy. In the end it kinda seems like Hamilton is the monster.
The way Hamilton referenced Burr's main philosophy, to wait, and dissed how ineffective it was made my heart explode. Not only that but when Burr said, "you got more than you gave," and Hamilton responded, "and I wanted what I got." When Hamilton does things like this, it sends a chill down my spine.
but it's true. you can't get politically popular if you stand by and watch it happen, without spreading your beliefs. as hamilton said, you can't win unless you are playing the game. and, after hamilton pushed burr to stop waiting for it, further after this burr took hamilton's father in law's senator spot and nearly became president, becoming vice president instead
I agree. I saw people saying that, for them, it was at that song that Burr started to look more like a villain, but I disagree completely. Hamilton looks way more like the villain and Burr looks more like the good guy that wants to do something but doesn't know how. The song is basically about how Burr thinks that Hamilton used of inmoral means to get what he wanted, but nobody saw it, so he can't prove it, so he gets desperated to be inside the "room where it happens" so he can maybe stop things from going south.
@@niky_peixoto But of course, what this animation conveys, is the defeated look in Hamilton's eyes. He has tried everything else. EVERYTHING. And gotten nothing and nowhere. The only way he can get what he wants is something that will crush his soul.
@@Chirpysemperboy But I think "what he wanted" was by itself a problem. Like, Hamilton wanted so bad to have full control of the economy that he got to the point of rejecting alternatives that could also solve the problem, but that wouldn't give him this power (that's by the true story, it's not said in the song)
@@niky_peixoto were there alternatives? the way I see it the horrendously weak government can't do anything if the debt isn't at least in one place, and with all the states chipping in together for it.
burr:and all he had to do was die ham : yeah that’s a lot less work burr : you oughta give it a try ham : haha... wait. only me...? burr : WE. we oughta give it a try is what i said ... definitely
I personally think that the part where Hamilton takes on a more vindictive tone, mocking Burr and taking on this evil villain role never actually happened. It’s all just in Burrs head, he sees Alexander’s trap card move and it twists his mind.
I think it's the opposite. If you analise Burr and Hamilton's true story, it looks more and more like Hamilton wasn't exacly a great guy while Burr was very good. Hamilton got into thousands of duels and he manipulated his gun so he could shoot faster (obviouly won all of them, since he was alive), and he used the same manipulated gun while dueling against Burr (I doubt he missed on purpose). Burr, on the other way, was described as having "the rigor of a devil and the imparciality of an angel", because in his job he was alwayns imparcial and fair even against people which were his opponents. He sent letters to Hamilton to ask him to back down on the rumors about him, because they were extremely serious, including a rumor about him fucking his own daughter (and we know how much Burr loved her and his family in general). Burr was also a feminist while Hamilton was much more conservative about it. There are also other storys, like how Burr lied to Hamilton so he could open a bank that destroyed Hamilton's party monopoly, and how Burr sold his watch to help poor kids because he didn't have anything else. I actually believe that Hamilton did acts of corruption and Burr noticed and tried to do something about it by becoming a politician of the opposition. Besides, Hamilton was trying to create a strong government and went as far as to want the president and senators to have LIFETIME positions, while Burr didn't like the idea at all.
@@niky_peixoto right except the Hamilton musical isn't actually real. We must accept the story presented and analyse it on its own merits. What "actually happened" doesn't matter and has no impact on the narrative presented.
@@drangelice Right, but I do think the inspiration cannot be ignored. I do think that Burr wasn't a complete villain at the musical either, even because I started to search about him because I like his character at the musical and I do think he looks nice, even if he looks, indeed, quite the narcissist
@@niky_peixotoI always assume is somewhere in between the rumors, I don't think we can ascertain for sure what happened but I think they were in the end just humans doing human stuff. And as celebrities of the time any mistake gets exaggerated 100 fold. We can all try to reach conclusions on what actually happened but the truth none of us were in "The Room where it happened" So it's hard to get all the context over why certain decisions were made.
This has such a creepy vibe to it. Like, the "click boom" gunshot sound effect, the parts with Hamilton in them, the way that Aaron Burr sounds more and more desperate as the song goes on, etc. There's just a certain insanity to this song
I adore the ending!! I'm so used to see animatics of this song ending with the door closing in Burr´s face, and dont get me wrong, I do like that. But it's the first time I see Burr actually starting his political career as a way the be in the room where it happens, and I find it so refreshing. Love it!
One detail (probably unintentional) that goes unnoticed is the fact the redacted parts of the documents 3:12 almost looks like the staff on sheet music but with an extra line bc you know, its a musical
Fun Fact: Because Hamilton's affair takes place right before this song, he speaks in short quips for this song. All other songs he speaks with much more confidence, but we see Hamilton gain more confidence throughout the song, and start speaking longer and more witty phrases.
NO WONDER THIS TOOK 3 YEARS WHAT THE HELL- The composition. The persPECTIVE. THE TRANSITIONS. THE USE OF ONLY TWO COLORS. My god this was so fun to watch. Also, I love how Hamilton points Ace Attorney style haha. 3:57 You captured my absolute LOVE for this song (my favorite in the entire musical).
Just want to say, this definitely sounds like a Disney villain song, I know it isn't one, but it definitely sounds like it could be. And with Hamilton being on Disney+, this is basically a Disney villain song because Aaron Burr is technically a Disney villain.
Wait Is Burr a villain? ._. I do not fully embrace Hamilton yet, I started my adventure with him through cover, in a different language anyway, and somehow it turned out that Burr became my favourite character XD And now you're telling me he's a villain here !?

WHAT? THIS ANIMATIC IS SO GOOD!!! I love the way you portrayed the characters and all the emotion you put on them. The small animations you put as well as the background gives so much depth! Also the light when Burr talks to Hamilton shows a duality in their words and actions. I love this so much!!!
Whoa shit, I'm so honored man! You're an incredible artist yourself! I had a lot of fun with the lighting in this one, I'm so glad you noticed the little hints there 😁
@@greaterbritannia5745 oh wow. I could go on an entire rant on how you're wrong. But, in summary, he lost literally everybody he held dear. His parents died when he was young. Both Theodosia's died. Sure, he wasn't perfect, but who is? He was human. Saying that somebody who literally helped make this country what it is doesn't even get to have a *street* named after him because of his mistakes is like saying a normal person doesn't deserve to be remembered because of a stupid thing they said years before they died.
3:36 I feel like something a lot of people forget is that based on his writing and speeches were pretty sure Hamilton was an actual genius and knew how to pull strings to get what we wanted
when hamilton says "you don't get a win unless you are playing the game" I feel burr took those words to heart because he looks so shocked and he then proceeded to start his political carrier.
Its because, Hamilton has been taking NYC by a storm, he made a huge impact in their campaign while Burr just stands in a side line and "wait" for things to work out but he failed to realize if he wants things to change he needs to make decision and actually step up. Both Hamilton and Burr has dreams and goals only difference is Hamilton has ambition
Bruh, that's literally the entire point of the song. Bur doesn't really get it untill Hamilton goes "You get nothing if you wait for it." Which is why you literally hear him announce that he wants to be in the "Room where it happens."
I like how in the start both hamilton and burr are in the purple (dark), then hamilton appears in the yellow (light), and all through out the video burr is in the purple, - kept in the dark, - when the light shines barely on him when he has that talk with hamilton face to face, and asks him what happened. Then finally, he forces him self in to the light, because he wants to know what happens, he doesn't want to be kept in the dark no more. The yellow/purple really fit the mood well - well done! Also, we see the light shine, and burr watching out the window, meaning that he isin't connected to the truth, but he knows the news, so he is watching throught the window, not knowing the full context. I really like that part ^^.
Yess!! And when Burr goes into the empty rooms, the other threes figures are an even *darker* purple, which I thing symbolizes that what they said are hidden deeper in the dark.
Yo reading this, it really changes the way i look at the WHOLE animatic. Every part where you can see darker or more lighters hues of purple/yellow it really makes you think about the meaning of the line and AHHHH thank you for writing this
“My god in god we trust, but we never really know what got discussed” is such a powerful line!!! It reference the pledge and how we just blindly accept what our higher ups decide
I LOVE THE TRANSITION BETWEEN THE DOORS AND THE CARDS edit: holy moly! last time i saw this animatic it had 3k views and now it’s already almost at 1mil !! definitely deserves it too!!
Whoa...why do I feel like Hamilton is the villain in this song?! Especially at 3:35, Hamilton has that villian vibe going on...(lowkey attractive..dont judge me lol) But damnn I love this!!!
I find that Hamilton is the villain of his own story. He constantly foils himself and he shouldn’t have died. Love Hamilton (in the musical at least) but he had three months to call off the duel. Not to say Burr was right, but if Hamilton had said sorry or just called it off, he wouldn’t have left his family behind. His pride was a major downfall for him. He did a lot of things to foil himself. That’s just my perspective though.
its cause so many people make that exact same joke on so many other Hamilton videos. I already saw a few on this vid alone. it's a cheesy but kinda funny joke, it's just annoying that so many people copy it.
The transitions, the expressions- they're all so great! A couple of moments I especially loved: - 1:58 Heheh Jefferson using the swivel chair (which he invented) - 2:11 I love how TJeff, Madison and Hamilton are trying to be displays/paintings to fake their appearance to the public, the whole "talk less smile more" mentality and trying to save face. - My absolute favourite scene in this animatic is the emphasis placed at 3:55 when Hamilton raises his hand, while saying that "I wanna build something that's gonna outlive me"- foreshadowing the moment when Hamilton aims his pistol at the sky. (To get even more meta, the pose also mirror's the musical's logo, and the musical was not only a result of Alexander's legacy, but it has also become a part of his legacy :) ) Overall, amazing work! You should be proud of what you've created! You've earned a new subscriber :)
How this version shows Burr feelings more clearly makes this song so much more better even when we see what Burr is feeling sacred when Alex talks to him in the middle of the song
This is a masterpiece! The colors, the transitions, the imagery. If I list every single thing I like about this we'll be here forever, but here's a few: 1) the doors multiplying and turning into cards 2) madison's expression after everyone yells where they want the capital 3) burr peeping through the windows 4) the shadows with demon eyes 5) the yellow outline on a completely purple hamilton near the end 6) the screen goes blank once in the beginning and twice nearer the end, i especially liked "close your eyes" *clear background* 7) doors into stairs!! Besides, of course, Burr literally chasing after the room and how beautifully you presented his struggle. It's also synced perfectly with the music!
So, with the outline on Hamilton, I think it's to represent Burr's knowledge of him. The people in yellow are the people who are "in the room where it happens"- they know all the deep secrets that go on. The people in purple are the people in the dark. And, during the stated conversation between Burr and Hamilton, I think the yellow outline means that Burr only knows the surface level of Hamilton. He hasn't seen the entire person.
everyone talking about how lyn was like "yeah we don't know what happened" but does nobody else realize that this is also burr's want song? you could argue that this is where burrs arch starts given we never really know what he wants. wait for it just says he's willing to wait, and this is finally the song where we get it. we had to wait till the second act to see that burr wants to be in the room where it happens.
YOOOO THIS IS THE BEST “THE ROOM WHERE IT HAPPENS” ANIMATIC I’VE EVER SEEN!! I’VE SEEN A BUNCH BUT THIS ONE TAKES THE CAKE!! THE EXPRESSION, THE EXECUTION, IT’S ALL BRILLIANT!! I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!!
I love how the musical not only tells the story of Hamilton, but also shows Burr’s isolation and I think the latter is better conveyed through this animation.
Burr isnt a villain though, in hamilton’s perspective he was the hero and burr was the villain but if you think about Burr’s perspective, he helped build up the country but nobody know him, he had no say and had his political reputation ruined by hamilton. He called him “unworthy” “does not deserve anything” or straight up lies. I think the villain is hamilton here
Extremely late but in my opinion, both of these guys were villains. Hamilton for spreading rumors and talking bad about him. Burr for losing his cool at the worst time. Of course, I do think Hamilton should have been more kind and stopped thinking about his legacy for at least 5 seconds because it really just reflected poorly on him later. So Hamilton is a greater evil but for me only by a slight margin. Ugh this is a waste why am I writing this
@@seafoam8845 well, historically, the rumors weren't wrong. Burr wanted nothing power for the sake of power. Personally, I'd end a man's run for president if he was like that too
@@letstryagain9084 I’m pretty sure some of Hamilton’s rumors (like Burr being in an incestuous relationship with his daughter) were dead wrong and spread solely for the sake of ruining Burr’s life…They were both pretty power hungry and sleezy at times imo, so I agree with the others about the villain of the story depending on either’s perspective
This got me CHILLS It's honestly the best Hamilton animatic I've watched The way you played with lighting and the door symbolism to represent Burr's descend into the man who killed Alexander Hamilton is AMAZING Your storyboards are incredible
things you notice watching the hamilton musical -Room Where It Happens occurs right as hamilton walks out of reynold's house -washington and king george are part of the crowd during The Reynolds Pamphlet -burr was smiling during hamilton's bit in The Election Of 1800. he legit thought hamilton was going to pick him, and he spent the rest of the song in utter shock -when it's hamilton's turn in Your Obedient Servant, his dancers are sending waves of papers to burr, with the last one doing this incredibly sarcastic ballerina's walk as they flutter the paper to burr -the running gag where madison keeps fucking coughing (the real madison was pretty sickly, but it's funny to see this giant burly dude keep politely coughing into a hankerchief)
3:51 Omfg I love this. I love how the shadows saying ‘wait for it’ are grabbing onto Burr and both figuratively and literally holding him back. And how in the next frame they’re gone, but Burr still felt them and he looks behind him to see
I love the line, "I arranged the menu, the venue, the seating", because all I can imagine is Jefferson pouring over papers with writing on them, with a large seating chart for all of 3 people, and staring at it very seriously. Someone walks in, sees him with a furrowed brow while staring at a chart with 3 chairs, and thinking out loud, "okay, but I can't put Hamilton to my right, next to the window, because he might jump out of it, and that would ruin everything, but I can't have him against the wall, because he might get aggressive. Hmm... Difficult. So difficult," and they come to realize he's been working on this seating arrangement for DAYS.
The whole thing is absolutely amazing, but what made this so great for me was the light symbolism. Everyone else that was ignorant to what was happening was always portrayed in the dark, even Burr himself was colored purple until the very end. I loved this too much.
I am overly happy that people are still making Hamilton animatics Room where it happens animatics are always so interesting, and this is no exception like woah
this is actually like one of my favorite hamilton animatics ive ever seen im?? i love the coloring and shading choices and how they're used (the purple vs the yellow), i LOVE the transitions and the way the animatic flows, the expressions and your art style, and the ending was not what i expected like dang the song ends with the start of burr's political career that's clever basically i love this animatic & you did a dang good job!!
The use of lighting in this is absolutely amazing! You have the streetlights acting as spotlights, shining on those ‘in the room’ but not on Burr, who remains in the dark. Then you have the backlight on Hamilton when he asks what burr is waiting for... it not only makes him seem that much more powerful than Burr but also, not to get too deep into the metaphor, could show how history shines on Hamilton but not Burr? Anyway, at the end, when Burr becomes senator, he is now in the light. He’s made it into the room. Sorry for the rant this is just so great!
No worries I love reading all these analyses and seeing what people get out of the animatic haha. I'm glad you enjoyed it enough to write one yourself, thanks very much
Jefferson: I arranged the meeting, the menu, the venue, the seating. **In the room** Madison: This Mac N Cheese is dry Hamilton: I’m used to eating leftovers Jefferson: DARE YOU INSULT MY FANTASTIC COOKING SKILLS AND CHALLENGE ME TO SATISFACTION
wow this is an amazing animatic some of my favorite things: 1) the lighting and scene changes on the "dun dun dundundundun dUn" 2) the door to cards transition 3) lightingggg 4) transitionsssss 5) the expressions on the faces show so much emotion how-
In some ways I can sympathize with Burr. I myself tend to be a bit overly cautious, preferring to wait for an advantage before taking risks (or if possible not taking any risks). I also tend to be the kind of person that doesn't like rocking the boat, I try to avoid stepping on people's toes. Unfortunately for Burr, his caution and tendency to try to appease others deprived him of several opportunities that bolder men like Hamilton, who didn't mind saying things that might offend others and taking risks, took advantage of and benefited from. Caution and tact are not by themselves bad traits, they can in fact be quite positive depending on the situation. It's just that Burr took those two traits too far and in this situation it didn't benefit him. I can kind of relate lol, I have missed out on opportunities myself because I hesitated, didn't want to take risks or step on others. Hamilton is more mercenary in that way. A very minor example lol, but for example I have missed out on things that were limited (food, items, etc.) because I didn't want to push past others or be rude. Also I'm sorry but at 3:57 I just imagine Hamilton shouting "OBJECTION!" lol
Love how the doors transition to become playing cards. The gun clicking sounds with burr losing it is hilarious to me. And burr blocking the viewer instead of his own eyes being covered is a really nice touch!
I really love this song, it's one of my favourites from "Hamilton". The animation makes it better, the way you play with shadows to represent emotions or a moment of tension and the way you've made the characters I love it, it goes really well with the rhythm and the lyrics.
Omg the way you have them back to back during the “and all he had to do was die. Now that’s a lot less work we outta give it a try” so it mirrored the beginning of a dual. That is how you do artistic foreshadow
Broo I love how you use lighting/color in this. Especially at 1:31 how when Burr opens the door it's dark but as soon as Jefferson opens it, its light again. This whole thing is so good! Great job!
SO PEOPLE, WHAT WE HAVE HERE IS: Stellar drawing skills Incredible foresight Mind-blowing cinematography Unparalleled reality to metaphor transitions And one of the top animatics I have seen for Hamilton or anything else built with the love and passion that only a few possess. Standing applause, so good, and honestly, thank you for doing this for us.
I love the contrast of yellow and purple with yellow being what was told to the public and purple being what happened behind the scenes. This is probably the best animatic I’ve ever seen
this is suchhhh an amazing animation like everyone’s talking about the song but come on. the lighting, and literally everything. the lines are so clean, the color palette is immaculate, and all the little details in gestures and frames. i rlly like how we can sort of see the frames and stuff get looser and more confident. i could rewatch this all day i swear also THE DESIGNS?? HELLO
1:58 how tf does No one talk about this?! It’s one of the best scenes imho because it’s shows how Jefferson was there I. The room at the time, then switches to burr sitting in the same seat, going over what allegedly happened, while remaining “in the dark” both literally and figuratively as the room is now unlit and empty
I don't know what it is about 3:57-4:03 that's so appealing to me. I love the way Burr was depicted. Nervous and sweaty, and then it's almost like he's spiraling before finally giving his true motive. And all of the animation from that point one was just really visually pleasing. Well done. 👏
This is one of the most beautifully planned animatics I’ve seen. The switch between purple and yellow turned out amazing and the moving doors, switching of light and flitting figures create a perfect sense of urgency as if Aaron’s physically chasing after the “room where it happens”
My history teacher showed us this video and I was obsessed with how well you drew the emotions, giving this video more feeling than the song itself! Absolutely incredible.

@@niky_peixoto were there alternatives? the way I see it the horrendously weak government can't do anything if the debt isn't at least in one place, and with all the states chipping in together for it.

even though the hamilton hype died down, I'm still so glad that you posted this one! the art and pacing is amazing, keep it up!
im sad the hamilton hype is down cus i wanted to start making animatics but oh well
@@villarozie it's never too late! I'd be down to watch it
Nah it’s gonna go up because of Disney plus
hype never dies
My cousins are ADICTED to Hamilton and when it did die down in our family, it came on disney + and it started again... YAS!
I personally think that the part where Hamilton takes on a more vindictive tone, mocking Burr and taking on this evil villain role never actually happened. It’s all just in Burrs head, he sees Alexander’s trap card move and it twists his mind.
it's a pretty cool guess
I know, right? Haunting and eerie.
But it works so well in conveying Burrs emotions! I love it!
Cause hes fuckin impatient
This song just sends chills down my spine. The ending especially. love it.
I love how the ‘click booms’ are foreshadowing him shooting Hamilton (it is him that shoots him, right?)
I adore the ending!! I'm so used to see animatics of this song ending with the door closing in Burr´s face, and dont get me wrong, I do like that. But it's the first time I see Burr actually starting his political career as a way the be in the room where it happens, and I find it so refreshing. Love it!
It’s a perfect lead in to Schuyler Defeated
and the way the "click boom" kinda sounds like a camera make it fit so well!

It’s very cool.
Oh yeah that *is* actually pretty cool

Wait
Is Burr a villain?

@@burrito2981 Nothing wrong with a villian being your favorite character

Yes that is the point of the song

Yes

I audibly gasped when I saw that, it was so brilliant
Whoa...why do I feel like Hamilton is the villain in this song?! Especially at 3:35, Hamilton has that villian vibe going on...(lowkey attractive..dont judge me lol)
But damnn I love this!!!
Because every story has a villain, and even though burr is the villain is the villain in Hamilton's story, the opposite is true in burrs life
From a certain narrative perspective Hamilton is the antagonist.
I mean I always looked at things through burrs perspective, and Hamilton is the villain.
A villain can be the protagonist of the story.
The note around 4:20 when he gets all raspy is my fav part vocally. So much emotion. And this animator did so well👏

That's why I am here, watching old animatics.
The part when it shows him in the light becoming a senator was a masterful ending.
The transitions, the expressions- they're all so great!
A couple of moments I especially loved:
- 1:58 Heheh Jefferson using the swivel chair (which he invented)
- 2:11 I love how TJeff, Madison and Hamilton are trying to be displays/paintings to fake their appearance to the public, the whole "talk less smile more" mentality and trying to save face.
- My absolute favourite scene in this animatic is the emphasis placed at 3:55 when Hamilton raises his hand, while saying that "I wanna build something that's gonna outlive me"- foreshadowing the moment when Hamilton aims his pistol at the sky.
(To get even more meta, the pose also mirror's the musical's logo, and the musical was not only a result of Alexander's legacy, but it has also become a part of his legacy :) )
Overall, amazing work! You should be proud of what you've created! You've earned a new subscriber :)

3:50 Hamilton throwing Burr's signature words right back in his face is ICE cold.
This is a masterpiece! The colors, the transitions, the imagery.
If I list every single thing I like about this we'll be here forever, but here's a few:
1) the doors multiplying and turning into cards
2) madison's expression after everyone yells where they want the capital
3) burr peeping through the windows
4) the shadows with demon eyes
5) the yellow outline on a completely purple hamilton near the end
6) the screen goes blank once in the beginning and twice nearer the end, i especially liked "close your eyes" *clear background*
7) doors into stairs!!
Besides, of course, Burr literally chasing after the room and how beautifully you presented his struggle.
It's also synced perfectly with the music!
Also the fact that you started this three years ago and finally got the motivation to finish it is an inspiration to all artists
no. 2 is the best 😂
Also loved the wait for it part near the end
So, with the outline on Hamilton, I think it's to represent Burr's knowledge of him. The people in yellow are the people who are "in the room where it happens"- they know all the deep secrets that go on. The people in purple are the people in the dark. And, during the stated conversation between Burr and Hamilton, I think the yellow outline means that Burr only knows the surface level of Hamilton. He hasn't seen the entire person.
I love how horrified Burr looked when he was confronting Alexander after the meeting.
everyone talking about how lyn was like "yeah we don't know what happened" but does nobody else realize that this is also burr's want song? you could argue that this is where burrs arch starts given we never really know what he wants. wait for it just says he's willing to wait, and this is finally the song where we get it. we had to wait till the second act to see that burr wants to be in the room where it happens.
YOOOO THIS IS THE BEST “THE ROOM WHERE IT HAPPENS” ANIMATIC I’VE EVER SEEN!! I’VE SEEN A BUNCH BUT THIS ONE TAKES THE CAKE!! THE EXPRESSION, THE EXECUTION, IT’S ALL BRILLIANT!! I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!!
I agree I just luv the art and the ideas
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU
I love how the musical not only tells the story of Hamilton, but also shows Burr’s isolation and I think the latter is better conveyed through this animation.
the compromise of 1790 was one of the most important bargains in american history but literally nobody knows what was talked about
0:30
"Do whatever it takes"
This line fits very well to a ton of his actions
3:45 The way Burr looks at Hamilton is just chilling. Perfectly representing how much Hamilton is playing all the strings.
4:05 is the part where he FINALLY REALISES he’s a villain, prove me otherwise.
I spy with my little eye a fourth wall break but not really a fourth wall break
This got me CHILLS
It's honestly the best Hamilton animatic I've watched
The way you played with lighting and the door symbolism to represent Burr's descend into the man who killed Alexander Hamilton is AMAZING
Your storyboards are incredible
things you notice watching the hamilton musical
-Room Where It Happens occurs right as hamilton walks out of reynold's house
-washington and king george are part of the crowd during The Reynolds Pamphlet
-burr was smiling during hamilton's bit in The Election Of 1800. he legit thought hamilton was going to pick him, and he spent the rest of the song in utter shock
-when it's hamilton's turn in Your Obedient Servant, his dancers are sending waves of papers to burr, with the last one doing this incredibly sarcastic ballerina's walk as they flutter the paper to burr
-the running gag where madison keeps fucking coughing (the real madison was pretty sickly, but it's funny to see this giant burly dude keep politely coughing into a hankerchief)
The way Burr says “I got to be,” is so good 4:32
d a n g there were so many bits of shot composition, imagery, and lighting in here that were just,,,, so choice
3:51 Omfg I love this. I love how the shadows saying ‘wait for it’ are grabbing onto Burr and both figuratively and literally holding him back. And how in the next frame they’re gone, but Burr still felt them and he looks behind him to see
It’s been like 3 months and I still can’t stop watching it. This is honestly the best animatic I’ve ever seen in my life
The “what do you want Burr”s get me every timeeee
I am overly happy that people are still making Hamilton animatics
Room where it happens animatics are always so interesting, and this is no exception like woah
0:17
Burr: " We oughta give it a try "
Hamilton: * NERVOUSLY LAUGHS IN "AARON BURR SIR! NO-" *
Burr helped Hamilton try that 😇
this is actually like one of my favorite hamilton animatics ive ever seen im?? i love the coloring and shading choices and how they're used (the purple vs the yellow), i LOVE the transitions and the way the animatic flows, the expressions and your art style, and the ending was not what i expected like dang the song ends with the start of burr's political career that's clever
basically i love this animatic & you did a dang good job!!

4) transitionsssss
5) the expressions on the faces show so much emotion how-
In some ways I can sympathize with Burr.
This is totally what i thought! Most times its actually smarter to be cautious. (In my experience at least)
Love how the doors transition to become playing cards. The gun clicking sounds with burr losing it is hilarious to me. And burr blocking the viewer instead of his own eyes being covered is a really nice touch!
A NEW HAMILTON ANIMATIC! FINALLY!
Edit: AND IT’S ONE OF MY FAVE SONGS TO!
I really love this song, it's one of my favourites from "Hamilton".
The animation makes it better, the way you play with shadows to represent emotions or a moment of tension and the way you've made the characters I love it, it goes really well with the rhythm and the lyrics.
Yep
The last second with smiling Burr SO EXCELLENT, MY SOUL SCREAM 😭
Omg the way you have them back to back during the “and all he had to do was die. Now that’s a lot less work we outta give it a try” so it mirrored the beginning of a dual. That is how you do artistic foreshadow
This i believe is where Burr's jealousey of Alexander really comes into play.

also THE DESIGNS??
No one:

He do be peeking
I don't know what it is about 3:57-4:03 that's so appealing to me. I love the way Burr was depicted. Nervous and sweaty, and then it's almost like he's spiraling before finally giving his true motive. And all of the animation from that point one was just really visually pleasing. Well done. 👏
I love how him hitting the door is so perfectly synced with the desperation in his voice at 4:31
