This may be an unpopular opinion, but if they do a Hamilton movie it may work better animated. The symbolism used in this video adds more to the layers that Burr already had as a character. Rather than just bringing the stage to film more nuance can be discovered through animation.
Burr- achoo Hamilton- lifts the table cover Madison- coughs Jefferson- narrows his eyes Burr is under the table BURR- I WANNA BE IN THE ROOM WHERE IT HAPPENS
*in the middle of dinner* Jefferson: *gasps* Hamilton: what is it? Jefferson: I poisoned one of our drinks, but I forget which one... Hamilton: Madison: the way this dinner is going, I hope it's mine.
This is the song that made me love Burr. Yes he screwed up... a lot. He could even be called spineless for not standing up for his views, whatever they were. But I believe he was also very misunderstood. He wanted to preserve himself and his family while still being in "the room where it happens" but could never quite get there. He blamed Hamilton because 1. He did have a lot to do with it and 2. He didn't want to blame himself. At the end, when he realizes he killed his only friend, he's overcome with guilt and the realization that he is essentially the most hated man in America. I guess I just have a lot of sympathy towards Burr, he could never win.

I like what you did with Burr in this, and how you portrayed Hamilton. Hamilton was reckless, immature, and well... a bitch, especially to Burr (historically, i suppose, not AS much in the musical but he was still portrayed as incredibly reckless) and Hamilton shooting down Burr constantly in a condescending and rude manner instead of professional (to clarify: shooting someone in a duel is not professional either) is just... accurate.
This is breathtaking. The metaphorical and dimensional factors of the whole animatic mixed with the meaning of the song is an amazing concept. This deserves to be seen by Lin himself, I bet he would appreciate it dearly. Keep up the amazing work!
Hamilton doesn't want to throw away his shot. Which is why he always strikes while the iron is hot and writes non-stop. He doesn't understand Burr's stance: "If you stand for nothing Burr, what'll you fall for?" Burr prefers to keep his thoughts close to his chest. Talk less, smile more. Don't let them know what you're against or what you're for. He's willing to wait for it. "Keep out of trouble and double your choices." This song is where the story starts unwinding. Everything is in reverse. Hamilton: I guess I'm finally gonna have to listen to you. Talk less, smile more. Ensemble: If you stand for nothing Burr, what'll you fall for? WHAT DO YOU WANT? Burr: I... want to be in the room where it happened. I got to be.
InkyStory nah. Laurens interlude only featured the death of someone, which was inevitable in warfare. The death had no direct cause to Alexander's behavior. Whether he lived or died, he would still be desperate into trying to make a legacy for himself
I personally find the part in the beginning where Hamilton says, “Talk less. Smile more,” to be unnerving, and you did really well in Burr’s reaction to that. All throughout the animation you do such great expressions and conveying emotions.
What the heck Hammy, you shove Burr away just like that. And what got me salty was at 3:49 when Hammy used "Wait For It", Burr's #1 repetition and reliever, against him like that. like bOI VOTE FOR BURR 1800 SMILE MORE HAMSANDWICH
My favourite parts of this animatic : 1) The first minute 2) The second minute 3) The third minute 4) The fourth minute 5) Those 22 seconds at the end Edit: Hey all. I wasn't going to comment on this, but I can't stop thinking about it: I want to make a formal youtube apology over this post. I have done so much growing in three years and now believe I am a better person. First of all, I am sorry to the animator for neglecting their work. Second, I am sorry to all of you. Angels. Masterpieces. I love you. Stay hydrated and eat 3 meals a day. But third- and most of all- I am sorry to the fifth minute, for all the pain and neglect I have caused you because I can not count.
This is probably the scariest song in the entire musical. While songs like the Ten Duel Commandments or Stay Alive ( Reprise) are nerve wracking, nothing really compares to the sort of fear that can be sparked by such a mystery. Anyways, I guess if we ever invent time travel we'll finally know what went down in the room where it happened.
I read the description and your stair idea is so unique and clever. and the whole "what do you want Burr?" part with the faces in the background creates such a cool effect. I could go on forever but basically I love this animatic so much,, it's so rad
There's so much power and goddamn idk what but it has that KNOWING AND WINNING VILLAIN VIBE. THE DELIVERY OF HAMILTON'S LINES HERE ARE SO- AGHH AND THIS ANIMATIC MADE IT SO- AGHHH
Me listening to this song for the first time: This is just a fun song Lin came up with to poke fun of the fact that there wasn't any historical evidence around one of the more pivotal parts of his play. Me listening to this song for the 69001st time: This is the most ingenious villain song ever crafted.
@@venusastro_ Oh don't get me wrong, Burr is probably my favorite character in this play, but he is undoubtedly the villain of the story. A tragic villain to be sure, and one with the best of intentions, but a villain nonetheless.
“I arranged the menu, the venue, the seating” Alex: *sitting on the floor* Thomas, are you sure there are no chairs left? Thomas: umm... yes. Why else would Maddison be sitting on my lap??
I honestly love the idea of how you made Burr want to get to that door so bad, the doors appearing on his back, side, front, and below him, and the chess piece was one of my favorites. And Hamilton doing that Damsel in Distress act got me! Great job! 😂
This is the closest animatic of this that I would personally make (you know, if I could draw). It goes with my personal interpretation that Burr has a minor form of OCD and is trying to keep it in check, but this is the time where he can't. I cannot get over your ingenuity with visualizing "Click Boom," especially the first one. I also love the Hamilton confrontation, because 1: Hamilton is physically looking up to Burr, and that shot of him looking up to Burr at 3:41 is practically Burr saying "This man is beneath me; how DARE he talk down to me." And 2: the other faces that appear around 3:50 are like Burr's demons haunting him about this whole thing. But the thing that I honestly find unique and amazing about this is that Jefferson and Madison are clinking glasses during their section together. It's a small thing, but it really changes your view of the section, and puts emphasis on the word "propose" because of "proposing a toast." Apologies for the length of this comment, but your art style is now one of my personal favorites and I love to analyze things like these. I really want to see more of these and see how you approach the musical
It took me to this animatic to finally understand what Burr’s really doing by waiting: he doesn’t want to do anything controversial that would cause others to view him in a negative light. So he shares as little about what he cares about to prevent as much judgment as possible and despite that still wants to rise to power with honest methods. And so when Hamilton ultimately keeps him from that because he doesn’t stand for anything openly, he then shoots Hamilton in the duel and becomes the most controversial man during the time period. Sad really, he didn’t do anything wrong until he shot Hamilton (and based on him saying he’s a terrible shot implied he didn’t mean to kill him? Could be wrong on that) but because of that that’s all he’s known for and became the villain of history in Hamilton’s story. Truly a sad and intricate character
1:42-1:44 look at hamilton face It's like when you lose something and your parents don't care but as soon as they lose something everyone has to look and you have to pretend you care
This is definitely my favorite interpretation of this song. Burr seems like he's really driving himself insane just because we wants to mean something. He's tearing apart his relationship with Hamilton and then Hamilton just outright puts down Burr's philosophy of "waiting for it." Beautiful work!!
"I arranged the venue, the menu, the seating" Hamilton: Jefferson, what the hell is "choccy milk" and how come the only food item on this menu is "chicky nugs"? AND WHY AM I IN A HIGH CHAIR?!? Jefferson: (trying to hold in laughter)
Well I don't see Burr as a villain truly... I.sympathise with him and also Hamilton knew what a honor duel is. He knew what he was doing. And it's not like his morals were stellar either.
The dislike is from Theodosia for seeing her husband obsessed with "the room where it happens" Theodosia: dear diary ... I think my father has an obsession with a room (look behind the door) Burr: I want to be in the room where it happens ... the room where it happens ... Theodosia: *VERY OBSESSED* :(
Two things: I live how every animatic of this makes Burr look borderline insane And I will never not interpret Burr and Hamilton’s dialogue as sexually charged because that is funny as hell
probably the best animatic i've ever seen. honestly szin is my favorite hamilton animatic account but even she couldn't do anything better than this. cleverly drawn, well thought out. well done :)
This is one of my fave animatics because in the song you can actually hear Aaron's personality shift in the music, and this is the only animatic that shows his frustrations and personality shift, which is what makes it genius
I really like all the concepts you used! This is my favorite song from the entire play, and 'hold your nose and close your eyes' is my favorite line out of this song and it was. Just. Perfect!
I LOVE THIS! THE STAIRS THE CHESS PIECE THE ART STYLE THE LEAP THE CREATIVITY JUST *EVERYTHING* I don't usually watch Hamilton animatics unless they're made by certain people, but this one drew my attention. The thumbnail was so different from others, and I felt like that meant something! I watched it, AND I CAN'T STOP! HELP! THIS THING IS AMAZING!
I just noticed that when they say that they named a street after that guy they are foreshadowing Hamilton’s death because they renamed the park where he died in to Hamilton park
wow, this is amazing, almost exactly what I imagined except 100x better. you really have vision, and I absolutely love this purgatory setting. when you added the labrythine stairs things went from good to great!! :) truly amazing
I dont know if it just me, but i think Hamilton will be the best anime ever made. Zero to Hero main character Tragic backstory Friend to enemy rivalry Friendship and crazy gang. A Mentor as Father Figure War and Conflict Death of likeable character. Pair thingy. Crazy Psycopath Villain (king george). Moral Ambiguity Great Final Battle ... ... And Many more
This animatic really shows Burr’s madness, his confusion, his friendships /Relationships to others, his determination, and how Hamilton JUST LOOKS MORE REALISTIC!!! It’s so well drawn and I think if you finished it, it would get a lot more views, it’s personally my favorite though!
Favorite one of all. Being a Hamfam I watch ike every animatic ever. But this one I really love more than other. It's so creative and metaphorical like how you said the door is the exit that hes trying to escape but can never get. Just saying, love the video, dont know you but I love you as well! Keep up fine good work!❤

Zoë I.S. omg those are so cool thnx
I love this
I like what you did with Burr in this, and how you portrayed Hamilton. Hamilton was reckless, immature, and well... a bitch, especially to Burr (historically, i suppose, not AS much in the musical but he was still portrayed as incredibly reckless) and Hamilton shooting down Burr constantly in a condescending and rude manner instead of professional (to clarify: shooting someone in a duel is not professional either) is just... accurate.
tyranny omg im glad it came out that way. tysm!
tyranny It was accurate you say? Your setting me up.
tyranny burr was an ass too. All hamilton wanted to do was build something that’s gonna outlive him.
I'm- this is amazing, like Disney worthy. Holy shit, dude.
Taylor Higgins omg thats such a high praise
MICKEY MOUSE IS QUAKING

Phuck, Alexanders sinister speech at 3:34 was sooo good!!!
This is breathtaking. The metaphorical and dimensional factors of the whole animatic mixed with the meaning of the song is an amazing concept. This deserves to be seen by Lin himself, I bet he would appreciate it dearly. Keep up the amazing work!
KindaShyNai ohmy by lin himself? im gonna wheeze if it happens but thank u so much !
NO YOU'RE BREATHTAKING
Hamilton doesn't want to throw away his shot. Which is why he always strikes while the iron is hot and writes non-stop. He doesn't understand Burr's stance: "If you stand for nothing Burr, what'll you fall for?"
Burr prefers to keep his thoughts close to his chest. Talk less, smile more. Don't let them know what you're against or what you're for. He's willing to wait for it. "Keep out of trouble and double your choices."
This song is where the story starts unwinding.
I never saw it that way. Nice
Well, i mean, this is the song where every thing starts to go south
InkyStory forgot about that
InkyStory nah.
To me, it sounds like Hamilton kind of mocks him.
My favourite parts of this animatic :
1) The first minute
2) The second minute
3) The third minute
4) The fourth minute
5) Those 22 seconds at the end
Edit: Hey all. But third- and most of all- I am sorry to the fifth minute, for all the pain and neglect I have caused you because I can not count.
eeveelinkcrafted tehalchemist What about the 5th minute though?
Ah, how could I forget the fifth minute?!
@@beebabooda Son you disappoint me, How could you forget the fifth minute?

This is probably the scariest song in the entire musical. While songs like the Ten Duel Commandments or Stay Alive ( Reprise) are nerve wracking, nothing really compares to the sort of fear that can be sparked by such a mystery.
Anyways, I guess if we ever invent time travel we'll finally know what went down in the room where it happened.
I read the description and your stair idea is so unique and clever.
and the whole "what do you want Burr?" part with the faces in the background creates such a cool effect.
I could go on forever but basically I love this animatic so much,, it's so rad
omgg u read my lil trivia aaaaa
thank u for saying so!! aaaaaa im glad u like that one! its one of my fave parts too and thank you again aaaaaaa
SaffeeBear Of course I read it, my dude. This animatic is easily one of my favourites. thanks for creating such quality art 👌👌
ppl dont read descriptions often man hahaha. and aawww thank you and you're welcome! i try ;;;
There's so much power and goddamn idk what but it has that KNOWING AND WINNING VILLAIN VIBE. THE DELIVERY OF HAMILTON'S LINES HERE ARE SO- AGHH AND THIS ANIMATIC MADE IT SO- AGHHH
3:36 Hamilton in these lines made me so straight wtf
Burr: hey guys want to hear a joke?
Hamilton: for the last time burr no
Burr: ok so two Virginian's and an immigrant walk into a room
5:10 I BELIEVE I CAN FLYYYYY
WAIT WAIT
“If you stand for nothing, Burr what will you fall for”
Burr: Oh Alex... I won’t fall for anything... because I can fly, my dear friend.
How the sausage is made? I know how it's made and trust me you won't want to know how it's made.

Whore Gay Washing Machines' Turtle Interesting...How is it made?

Me listening to this song for the first time: This is just a fun song Lin came up with to poke fun of the fact that there wasn't any historical evidence around one of the more pivotal parts of his play.
Me listening to this song for the 69001st time: This is the most ingenious villain song ever crafted.
Are u calling burr a villain that makes me sad 😕
@@venusastro_ Oh don't get me wrong, Burr is probably my favorite character in this play, but he is undoubtedly the villain of the story. A tragic villain to be sure, and one with the best of intentions, but a villain nonetheless.
Cheese4G yeah yeah You’re right
Also, Alex is adorable
I don't think they said that..
They said a dead person is adorable
You can call someone adorable without wanting to do them. It's called a compliment.

3:08 wHY DO I LOVE THIS PART OF THE SONG So MUCH AH-
“I arranged the menu, the venue, the seating”
Alex: *sitting on the floor* Thomas, are you sure there are no chairs left?
Thomas: umm... yes. Why else would Maddison be sitting on my lap??
MOOD
this is incredible its literally the best room where it happens animatic !! im so blessed to have been able to watch this with my two eyes
hamemeton omg bless ur too kind
It's fitting that Aaron Burr's "I Want" song doesn't come until late in the story given his indecisive nature.
they did great on the details
It's a small thing, but it really changes your view of the section, and puts emphasis on the word "propose" because of "proposing a toast."
Apologies for the length of this comment, but your art style is now one of my personal favorites and I love to analyze things like these. I really want to see more of these and see how you approach the musical
Trey Bryner omg wowow thank you for saying these ! im glad that u love those certain frames. thank you again !!
Thomas: I arranged the menu, the venue, the seating
Me: Geez... must be hard seating three people
Aaron and Hamilton: round heads, supposed “good”
James: square base. Neutral.
Thomas: Triangle *looks at paper*
E v i l
he just wants to be included
let him in dammit
Miyo Maiyo poor burr
1:42-1:44
look at hamilton face
It's like when you lose something and your parents don't care but as soon as they lose something everyone has to look and you have to pretend you care
am I the only one who can imagine Burr as a little puppy thats owner goes into a different room and the puppy just scratches at the door.
Zuui that’d be Absolutely Adorable And I wanna a Fanfic about Aaron getting turned into a Dog and him actually doing that... you see what you did?
@@calicomarker It would be cringe please don't
Gordon Ramsay's Chin it’s an animatic about historical figures, cringe culture has been dead a whole ass while lol
This is definitely my favorite interpretation of this song. Burr seems like he's really driving himself insane just because we wants to mean something. He's tearing apart his relationship with Hamilton and then Hamilton just outright puts down Burr's philosophy of "waiting for it." Beautiful work!!
aw thank you!
"I arranged the venue, the menu, the seating"
Hamilton: Jefferson, what the hell is "choccy milk" and how come the only food item on this menu is "chicky nugs"? AND WHY AM I IN A HIGH CHAIR?!?
Jefferson: (trying to hold in laughter)
**burr busts into the room**
Hamilton: wtf
Madison: *thomas...*
Jefferson: *unholy French screaming*
Burr: FEEL THE BURRN
I. Wheezed.
Well I don't see Burr as a villain truly... I.sympathise with him and also Hamilton knew what a honor duel is. He knew what he was doing. And it's not like his morals were stellar either.
"But we dream in the dark for the most part!"
Honestly, one of my favorite lines in Hamilton.
The room where it happens explained in 5 words: *Burr, the grown-ups are talking.*
I love how much of an artistic approach you took. It makes it even more like it’s a song from the princess and the frog, it’s really amazing
your art style is so good omg

3:40
thats the best lyric of the entire play
This is great! I love your take on Hamilton's expressions in this song! Never seen someone depict him as so "nothing personal, bro!"
The dislike is from Theodosia for seeing her husband obsessed with "the room where it happens"
Theodosia: dear diary ... I think my father has an obsession with a room (look behind the door)
Burr: I want to be in the room where it happens ... the room where it happens ...
Theodosia: *VERY OBSESSED* :(
Alex: *urges burr to be in the room where it happens*
Also Alex: *stops burr from being in the room where it happens*
Two things:
I live how every animatic of this makes Burr look borderline insane
And I will never not interpret Burr and Hamilton’s dialogue as sexually charged because that is funny as hell
this will forever be my favorite animatic of the song
0:46 I love the trumpets here
"What do you want burr?" I LOVE LOVE LOVE that part in this animation!!!!
Little siblings when their older sister is having a sleepover, and they locked their door:

I don't know why but I REALLY love this art style, I also like how it spikes when Burr gets scared/surprised
probably the best animatic i've ever seen. honestly szin is my favorite hamilton animatic account but even she couldn't do anything better than this. cleverly drawn, well thought out. well done :)
👌🏻i feel the same way great job saffee love it
Loki I feel exactly the same about all of that
1:14 i love how burr is staring at that door like its his worst enemy
I can’t unsee Hamilton’s glasses as being his eyes at 3:01
We've had "Simon says" now get ready for "Thomas claims"
Thomas says, "Hate Hamilton."
Hands down one of the best the room where it happens animatics I have seen. The idea with the doors and the windows and the stairs gave me life
This is one of my fave animatics because in the song you can actually hear Aaron's personality shift in the music, and this is the only animatic that shows his frustrations and personality shift, which is what makes it genius
I really like all the concepts you used! This is my favorite song from the entire play, and 'hold your nose and close your eyes' is my favorite line out of this song and it was. Just. Perfect!
I LOVE THIS!
THE STAIRS
THE CHESS PIECE
THE ART STYLE
THE LEAP
THE CREATIVITY

I don't usually watch Hamilton animatics unless they're made by certain people, but this one drew my attention.
2:32 is an absolutely incredible visual bit, I love it!
2:56 i love how burrs face was like "o hell no "
this is probably the best hamilton animatic

"I wanna be in the room where it happen..." I love your anamation, pretty good details. I never seen Hamilton just anamation and songs -.-
"Two Virginians and a imigrant walks into a room..."

Thomas:I arrenged the menu,the venue,the sitting.
Alex:You're making mac and cheese at your home I'm sitting on the floor and Madison in your lap.
wow, this is amazing, almost exactly what I imagined except 100x better. you really have vision, and I absolutely love this purgatory setting. when you added the labrythine stairs things went from good to great!! :) truly amazing

Crazy Psycopath Villain (king george).
Moral Ambiguity
Great Final Battle

And Many more
History is the best anime
This animatic really shows Burr’s madness, his confusion, his friendships /Relationships to others, his determination, and how Hamilton JUST LOOKS MORE REALISTIC!!! It’s so well drawn and I think if you finished it, it would get a lot more views, it’s personally my favorite though!
I love burr’s ahhhh at the beginning
Words can not express my love for this song
Favorite one of all. Being a Hamfam I watch ike every animatic ever. But this one I really love more than other. It's so creative and metaphorical like how you said the door is the exit that hes trying to escape but can never get. Just saying, love the video, dont know you but I love you as well! Keep up fine good work!❤
A. Ham: "Just you wait!"
A. Burr: "I'm willing to wait for it..."
A. Ham: "You get nothing if you just wait for it."
Me: Wth?! this is confusing...
Burr: *you became the one thing you swore to destroy*
Burr tried some hardcore parkour in the end...didn't end too well.
THIS IS THE GREATEST THING IVE EVER SEEN
