How the hell did you manage to make them both so fluid but in their own way? Like Odysseus’ movements seem purposeful and that he’s not making any extra movement when he moves. Like a skilled warrior. While Hermes moves like an extravagant dance. With lots of swooping and moves just for fun (he’s a silly little guy) but they both look so good!!! Gaaahhh!!! Such a good animatic, I love your art style so much❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
It's also such a clever and subtle way to establish character and character dynamics. While Hermes is super fluid with most of his movements, showcasing his energy and his playfulness despite the circumstances, Odysseus is a lot more stiff and moves a lot less, but he makes every movement he does make count for something. Not only that, but it's also a way of conveying just how tired he is after everything he's been through on his journey to get home. And I LOVE when Hermes is telling Odysseus about the wind bag, his movement gets a lot less bouncy and it stiffens up like how Odysseus has been, which lets you truly know Hermes isn't messing around and is being genuinely serious. AND THEN, when Odysseus grabs the bag from Hermes, HE is the one who starts moving super fluidly, as if Hermes' energy rubbed right off on him. All around incredible animatic, this might be some of the best understanding of character animation I've seen in quite some time
