About Amirah

Amirah is a nonprofit working in Massachusetts and Connecticut to support women who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation, sex trafficking, and prostitution. The commercial sex trade is inherently violent, and the cycle of exploitation when someone is trafficked can be nearly impossible to exit. Amirah provides exit and aftercare services that give women access to resources, opportunities, and a safe community they can lean on as they rebuild their lives and - often for the first time - choose who they want to be and how they want to show up in the world. Amirah exists to be a place for healing and hope.
