- All The Tacos is back! In this episode Francisco Gómez heads to Tabasco, Mexico to try the Pejelagarto taco, made with garfish (pejelagarto), a prehistoric fish that looks like a small alligator. Francisco travels to Dos Montes, Punto Ceiba, and Villahermosa to catch his own garfish and learn the many ways to cook and serve the fish.
Later, he stops at a cacao bean farm in Tabasco to learn how to harvest cacao beans to make pozol.

This is great! I bowfish and am one of the weirdo's that actually eat the "trash fish" I kill. I've been eating gar tacos for a while.
Here in the US it's weirdly about what's in style/fashion but in other places it's common food. For example here lobster was classified as poor and trash food but now it's viewed as high end and expensive. Don't let what others think affect you or the way you live

I love the Mexican culture, so laid back. The first time I visited Los Cabos, the driver met me at the airport with a cooler full of beers. That is when I new I would love it there.

I live in central Virginia near The James River. I spend a lot of time on The James and I’ve seen gar 5-6 feet long ever summer. Great fishing! Fun fact: I catch them with a piece of rope instead of a hook.
