- In this episode of All The Tacos, we tested just how far Francisco’s love for tacos goes by making him hunt for-and eat-bugs and insects. It turns out that Francisco’s love for tacos is infinite and unconditional, with just a few reservations before going all in.
Tarantulas, cockroaches, worms, and scorpions were just some of the insects he sampled while gulping down beers and mezcal for liquid courage-and eventually coming to the conclusion that "insects are...wow."

Been living in El Paso for 6 yrs.
Stuff like this is what's keeping me motivated to save the money to get my passport so I can make day trips into Mexico after work/on my days off.
My fondest memories growing up were making trips into MX and pier fishing, swimming in the ocean, and hanging out eating the best tacos I've ever had in my life while taking in the sights and sounds.
I didn't understand a word of Spanish back then but, good people good food and good times are the true universal language.
I thought you could cross with your drivers license, assuming you're American.
Nothing is more special than showing a cultures use of what they have on land, and demonstrate the respect they have for it. It’s honestly amazing. More of this ❤️

@@BeyondDaX sick from what? The insects are cooked before they eat them, besides the live ones they ate out in the fields. These insects are caught in the wild not in the city streets. Are they off putting, yes but you never know if you'll like it until you try it. I've tried the fried crickets before and it was honestly good, it blew my expectations of it tasting bad. It's up to people to try new foods and surprise themselves with what new foods they end up liking.

I’m in Mexico right now, not far from this state (couple hours I think) and I tried grasshoppers earlier this week. With salt and Chile and lime. I was nervous but a little kid told me they’re delicious, and laughed at me when I was hesitant. So I went for it, & he wasn’t wrong.

I'm a very unadventurous eater, and a vegan, but I'd eat insect tacos with these guys, while drinking some cerveza and tequila.
They say with the projected population boom, we're going to have to produce more food in the next 50 years than we have in the past 10,000. Bugs will definitely have to be looked at as a sustainable food source

This was a cool video. everyone in this video seems very down to earth too. Makes more sense to eat the insect in a taco a too to help offset the insect taste and alcohol lol.
Nah, flavour is fine, its the texture and visual that makes most of us westerners offset by it. . . Seriously, as a fairly open minded aussie, ive eaten just about every animal ive ever come across (female grey kangaroo is still to date the tastiest red meat i have ever eaten, and ill fight anyone who says that perentie isnt god teir white meat). Most arthropods ive eaten? 100% more flavoursome than vertebrates. . . I swear the small size just condenses the flavour into a tiny, hyper nutritional, chitin wrapped package. . . VERY aware that the idea of munging out on bugs isnt for everyone tho, so i shant judge.
Never eaten tarantula. . . Ive had giant huntsman, but they have fuck all meat (like eating salty wafers in texture).

It's amazing to see the trading first hand. A lot of people forget this system still exists in parts of the world. In more developed areas, we pretty much take the salt for granted, I know I have salt in my cupboard so I never think of it.

Try dried stink bugs on a taco. My family uses dried stink bugs to give it the lime flavor. It's great!
