Neat looking truck! I've had the FY03 buggy version for a number of years now, I immediately made it brushless with a 2S lipo, and oil filled shocks - it's great fun. The shocks have made all the difference to its handling. And, nothing on it has broken at all considering the abuse it's had over the years. I'm impressed! edit - oh, and 3S in the FY03 is just plain bonkers... it shifts!
That bash looked kind of fun. You've inspired me to break out my mini 8ight t tomorrow. Imo, it's the best 14th scale minus the 2000 degree motor heat on 3s. I just run it on 2s, things a little beast. Thanks for the inspiration!
Not bad ! I was thinking about this rc and the Axial yeti. This one pretend to be durable if you put good electronic. Lots of upgrades and parts for it. The scale of is good for smaller area to play on. Or indoor. I saw a video of an Axial yeti with SSD diamond steel axle. Now I want one with a nice 3 s brushless. Thinking it will be nice to go along with my kyosho rampage.
Recently bought one of these for my first rc car. The car stopped responding while I was using it. The transmitter now blinks back and forth from red to green while beeping. Any idea what happened? I put in a new lipo 2s battery and still no change. Think it could be the receiver?
i really like this car, especially now that i got the full metal drivetrain and body kit, but........ all of the driveshafts were marked as "stainless steel" ones, but right as the blacnk paint scrubbed off it started rusting.....now i could deal with that, apply some coating and done, but the joints of the axles are beggining to wear down and will probably shatter any time now. and THOSE ARE METAL. can anyone perhaps link me stronger axles that fit this car?
This truck looks really cool, but it's a mediocre design, with the battery sitting too high and way back in the vehicle. The factory shocks are a waste of time too... This makes it an excellent project though: Some oil-filled, slightly shorter shocks will lower the COG and improve the handling over bumps. A clever battery relocation will improve things much further! Overall, it's an excellent buy if you like cheap upgrades. Fitting a reliable 3s/ESC/motor combo is simply not worth the money, a good battery makes it fast enough for this price range...
As you Said the tyreS.. the big jumps it might make with more softer grippy tyres.. on a less loose surface it may move slightly more faster. I bought a friend the rock racer 540 motor from wltoys. . Had a life battery. It was a bit of an odd car. Power kinda cut in and out. But i think that was more the battery than the car..

You should test the wltoys 144001. I absolutely love mine.
I will look into it
I have one, it is mind blowing
Just bought a couple from Banggood for 110.00 each on a flash deal.
You can fill the suspension wih oil... they don't come wih oil but can be oil filled
Thanks for the info

Been on a trophy truck kick? Lol that is ingenious design on the transmitter
LOL yeah kinda, and yes I think it's very cool. This truck is for my son

Yes I just got the parts today to fix it. Sorry for lack of videos but the parts took forever and we in Cali are on lockdown
@@killeroffroadhobbyz Ey no worries Gary! I completely understand! I forgot it was broke lol.

It goes about 37 .281 mph or 60 kph
Do you still have the serpent cobra
Sorry I don't
I was actually thinking about getting one of these for my kid, let me know if u want to sell it lol
I will
I bought one for only $136
Get it a bigger batery
Done
Does it come with free corona virus? 😂😂😂
Looks like a mini baja rey. Pretty cool.
LOL I hope not, but I have had this sitting around for like 3 months
@@killeroffroadhobbyz in that case you should be OK! If you ordered it now though, that would be risky I think 😬

I like this little rig. My son has been ripping it around and beating the hell out of it and still going strong with zero breakages
I like it too - in the right hands, it can become a sort of giant killer, if you are willing to spend some extra money on the suspension...
WOW!!!!! Your starting to review rc junk too ?????
LOL not really I got this for my son and thought I should review it as well
Have you driven it yet?
Amazing truck.
Meh..For $150 there is far better options out there than this
Tacon for one.
Too slow
It’s not slow it goes over 40mph on a 3s lol
@@mbfishing3807 the esc will burn
@@sadlife2301 no it won’t
@@sadlife2301 it’s fine running on a 3s

I agree, the battery is not a very good one I will be using a true 2s lipo next bash
