The struggle with a dodge ram quad cab under the seat box

So I bought a audiopipe shallow mount 12" subwoofer to go in the sub box, but it did not fit. Luckily amazon refunded me the money and I got to keep the sub, I ended up putting a kicker comp r in the box

Hey I have an 05 ram quad cab I started out with all of the crappy prefabricated boxes and several shallow mount subs and hated all of them so I finally went and bought the fox acoustics dual 12 ported and tuned to 34 hz I dropped in 2 punch p3 dvc4s hooked to a punch p1000bd at 2 ohms with each sub getting around 700 watts rms !!! Problem solved it actually hits hard so far its destroyed my rear view mirror and is currently cracking my dash

I put a vr in the same box and it blew my speaker

Ok. Our $44 dollar walmart box has to be modified. Get your drill gun with sideways spinning steel wire brush attachment, dust mask and pliers outside. Start removing the particle board that is blocking the sub then as it reduces pull the nails. About 5 nails in total. I marked mine with a 10 pound weight first only about 2 inches down from the blockage. The box stays intact. From California with love. Go get some.

What kind of subs did you try putting in that Rockville?

simple fix add a ring spacer made out of MDF 1/2 inch cut the size you need mount it to the box slide your sub right in take about 30 mins of your time if you have the wood.

You’d probably have to raise the seat then most of these boxes are made with as much room as possible

I used Kenwood Excellon shallow mount 12's and they fit perfect. That Audiopipe sub has that weird underhung bulky basket that is blocking you.

Just get some wood and make you an artificial mounting ring to raise it

yes i had to do major trimming for a VD-12 soar shallow mounts. took ab an hour with a simple dremmel

Cut the hole bigger and cut some rings to space it then throw some spacer washers on the seat mounts

Just buy the Fox Acoustics box for 2 12’s and be done with it. Mine hits freaking hard in my Ram Truck!
