Cant wait to see you guys have a car with this finish and then you throw some bizarre hypershift on top just to see how the interference pearls react to the added texture
Seeing this come up a lot - as of now there is no way to make a "clear" variant with enough clarity to use pearls. However we're already in development of color shifting options like our Persian Blue, Jasper, Atomic Berry, etc!
@@dipyourcar Would a flake work for a very subtle effect? I know if you drop a little red flake in solid black you get a very subtle something, would that work here?
@@dipyourcar completely impractical but for the sake of a cool video - this Body Armor first then a top coat with a hypershift/pearl. The topcoat would ruin the whole point of Body Armor, and I'm sure it would be a wacky texturized mess but would definitely look pretty cool.
Well Done!! I like the way you explained each step, and then showed the results. Nice tutorial! I can, also, see this on an offroad vehicle with an old style of multi colored Army Camo, with the black and the forest green, and desert tan.
This is awesome! I've often wanted to do this to my truck and Jeep but didn't want to fully commit. Now we can just peel it off when it's trade-in time. Now the next question can you spray a pigment over the top with clear or mat finish? How will it look?🤞😁
glad there is a kit now, done this with the spray cans before on the hood it was a bit more on the fuzzy side but I sprayed a regular coat above it. took a few cans. I did this cause the hood was still bare metal and was waiting to paint. with Dip Coat it looked great and stayed clean. wish there was a half gallon just to do parts? it might be nice to try colors
Super congrats on the NEW product. It's been a long road (pun intended) to get this into production. Great video, lots of details that will help in achieving a great paint job. I am amazed you released 12 colors on the same day, expected black only for the initial release. I have to admit, I am concerned how it peels after it has been on the car for some time (weeks, months), would be good to release a video (maybe just on social media) of it being peeled after a week or two.
Will this work well on semi truck wheels with the miles and elements we go through to protect the shine during winter and also will it hold up to tire changes or do we gotta redo the coating anytime we need to patch or change a tire on a semi?
This should be recommended for Tesla Cyber truck owners. The trucks always look better wrapped. This would be an option. As for colors, Desert Tan 12:52 and White 14:02 look good. Like to see a Neon Yellow. The Safety Cone Orange 13:52 is too dark. It needs to be lighter and brighter in color.
Right this is the first time I've seen this stuff, so it has a rough finish not smooth? Can a shift be put over the top of it? Thinking purple, blue and green over black. If it's peebale will it not just come off or does it finish hard and not like a decal? I'm impressed with it.
Can’t say it’s my style, but a better alternative to the guys beginning their vehicles. Maybe make bed lining kits for trucks? That would be a good market if it holds up.
Ah, I thought this was going to be for trackday/clearcoat protection. This is more of a "tuff-liner" look. Maybe I missed it... is there a peel-able clear protection for trackdays that doesn't require a base plasti-dip coat? Thanks for the vid!
Cool :} One thing though, what does it do with milage and wind noise on that car. Guess it wouldn't matter on a truck. Also do you get some sound deadening, like my old truck doors, go bong/sustaine, lol. Most sound deadening products use adhesive, but fail when the door gets blazing hot. Was thinking I would just spray elastomeric roof coating inside the doors and inside roof top.
Damn, I was hoping for a clear version so I could ask to see how this looks with colourshifts… could you potentially spray a thin coat on top, or does that destroy the effect?
If you spray anything on top that's not Body Armor, you won't get the protection. The Peelable Body Armor is made with a special, super tough material that doesn't come in "clear".
While I don't have a current use for Body Armor, I can see its use. Kind of curious how it would look if used with a contrasting base, say red then black Body Armor on top.
I already have a project where I'm going to use Brass Monkey. I wonder how the Brown would look over the top of that? Perhaps too much of a color difference?
*Here we go! Enjoy* 😃
Love the constant innovation coming out of this company!
how does this do on heat? IE exhaust/engine?
Now it functional!!! Looks good BUT, can you spray a hypershift over it or can you mix in a hypershift with the gallon?
now thats a 5 + !!!
GENIUS PRODUCT.
its going on me E90 as soon a shes ready !
Sick! Definitely a 5!

Came to the comments just to suggest it, but I was beaten to the punch. I'm so hoping to see it. Would love a blurpleish one.

Offroaders are gonna love this stuff. Well done!

BTW I wonder if you could do a tutorial on spraying multi colored panels? Just to give us a direction to go to?
That would be a idea for the Midwest winters coat a car in it. Then when spring comes peel it off
That's a remarkable new product! Thanks for your hard work developing it.
Your videos always bring so much joy and smiles! Thank you for your talented sense of humor and your bright, infectious performances!🚚🏋️🐻
Great video on product endorsement, instruction, and subject matter expert advice/recommendations. Nicely done.
That is cool especially for the off road vehicles man I like how that looks
Off road boys take note!
Damn guys another thing I want 😂
honestly looks sick in the Q8, i love it, great job
Great protection and also gives it a stealthy look with the black, the flex blue doesn't look bad as well
I LOVE IT!!!, I will throw some glitters as a top coat!!!! 5 of 5!!!!
I’ve been waiting forever for you to do a peel So cool!
does it come with your arms? thats some body armor
5 out of 5 looks very nice
All the colors look good.
WOAH! This is a game changer!

Happy to try this out
The black, camo green, and desert tan look out of a GTA game.
🤣🤣🤣

First of all, what is your biceps routine. How many cars do I need to dip to get arms like an action flick
Looks great however because it's not a smooth surface like factory paint, there's wind resistance which would affect fuel economy

Peels absolutely awesome even after long term - it's been thoroughly tested
@@dipyourcar I'm sure it does but me thinks some of your (potential) customers are going to actually want to "see" it.

I'm curious what different base coat/armor combos look like. For instance - Orange splattered over blue, black over green, etc.
This is a very cool product.
Are you able to add a clear coat over top with hypershift?! That'd be sick
nice change of video - looks cool - i would have though you would use a reducer but
Can't wait to see all the satins and clears and crazy things that work and the failed ones to and the best are the successful fails lol
Is the plastidip base mandatory to use this stuff or can it be sprayed directly over oem paint?
Right this is the first time I've seen this stuff, so it has a rough finish not smooth? Can a shift be put over the top of it? Thinking purple, blue and green over black. If it's peebale will it not just come off or does it finish hard and not like a decal? I'm impressed with it.
Makes a lot of sense...maybe a Bronze for Wheels would be a Winner?
Is this flexible and durable enough for Powersports plastics?

This can be used as a Light Duty Bedliner as well
@@dipyourcar There’s a huge market for this with the off-roaders and the whole overland trend going on right now. Nicely done!
Id imagine also use on the floor pans without carpet in mud n offroad trucks where ive used spray undercoat or bedliner before. @@dipyourcar
Can we mix the colors for other effects? You should do a camouflage but try layering the colors to see if it will change the color overall.
Yes you can mix Body Armor Gallons to customize colors

no noticeable difference in milage or wind noise. not sure about sound deadening
Do you have something in clear if you want to actually see your OEM paint?
This is cool, and the alternate colours give a lot of options, but hear me out on this.
Mystichrome!!!! Or something similar. Would it work?
Can you add a pearl dust to the mixture when spraying?
Damn, I was hoping for a clear version so I could ask to see how this looks with colourshifts… could you potentially spray a thin coat on top, or does that destroy the effect?
If you spray anything on top that's not Body Armor, you won't get the protection. The Peelable Body Armor is made with a special, super tough material that doesn't come in "clear".
How long will the coat last once applied ? And how will it handle stones getting kicked up from other vehicles?
A long time, and it can be refreshed with new texture coats if ever needed! Yes handles road debris exceptionally well
While I don't have a current use for Body Armor, I can see its use. Kind of curious how it would look if used with a contrasting base, say red then black Body Armor on top.
Like to try/see it done as a two tone to bring life to a vehicle seeing the clears wont work on top
I already have a project where I'm going to use Brass Monkey. I wonder how the Brown would look over the top of that? Perhaps too much of a color difference?
Can theese be mixed with other hypershifts or interference pearls to change the color?
Cool, how about sliver paint?
4Runner LET’s Go Off Road !!
Cool stuff 😎
If you could find a way to make it clear so you could still see your factory finish while being protected then you’d really be on to something.
Can you take it a step further and paint over it?
Spoke too soon
Wondering what this would look like over one of rhe shifting pearls??! Or if you can put a cear coat over this
3-1-1 main be clear for 3 sparkles be 1 for gilter be one for sparkles or back forth sure be 3-1-1
Gabe take a well deserved day off?
no he worked his ass off this week for this launch :)
How well does it hold up in touch less car washes?
Should be just fine in most auto washes
can you put a topcoat with a pearl over it?

Interesting but I see a very small number of people that need this
I think you'll be surprised!
@13:33 fierce, just how I like my power ranger
AMAZING
Would this survive going through car washes multiple times?
Car washes should be no issue at all, as long as there aren't any extremely harsh chemicals used (would be rare)
I wonder what would happen if you layered different colors over each other🤔
Put a holographic hyper shift over the top
Can performance series dip go over the armor?
no other products can be applied over the Body Armor
I was quite sceptical but i saw the rest sonall good.. only thing i don't like is the look of the texture.
I know this doesn’t have anything to do with the video but, what is the darkest black y’all have??
3.0 it's horrible don't do it.
Shadow Black
@@dipyourcar thank you!!

Okay so what would a color shift pearl do over this body armor
Inb4 body armour hypershift
Even bed liner gets gouged up if you try hard enough.
Yup no coating is indestructible.. it's all about the product taking the abuse and not your factory paint
Available in germany?
