I have the 2022 3.3t AWD, gas is not good because I drive this car like it's meant to be driven lol. Jokes aside, yes, it turns heads and in one case I had a guy stop his car completely at an intersection just to look at it. It's a two factor situation, the looks of this car is incredible and there is none on the road with this facelift. I only recently saw some GV70's/G80's on the road, that's about it.
I own a 2019 G70 that has the sound boosting. I prefer it quieter in most situations. However if I am going for a joy ride down a twisty road I will turn it up for the fun factor. But for normal everyday driving I prefer it off.
I'm want the G70, but I gotta agree with you on the little back seat and trunk space . I think I may get the 2.5T Sport Prestige which is close to this for about $54K.
@@dub88acc I own a G70. No kids. Trunk is big enough for most things and with the split folding seats it works good enough. However the back seats are small. Most of the time no one is sitting in them. But when they do I feel a little bad. My lease ends on Dec 1st 2022. Given the car market these days I will definitely buyout the lease because its worth a lot more then the lease buyout. Question then becomes. Sell/trade it and upgrade to the GV70 which I love. Or save a ton of money and keep the G70. GV70: bigger back seats, slightly higher riding position, quieter interior, better tech and more storage. I also prefer the way it looks.
I just found out the only reason why you had the two spoke steering wheel is because you had the 2.5 model luxury nine luxury package I mean not 9 luxury package but luxury package and you can only get the three-spoke steering wheel with a 3.5 gb70 sport prestigious sport advanced equipped with the 3.5 model not the 2.5 model
Details given here that other videos missed, excellent video. The area you drove in looked so familiar until I realized you drove past my dad's house, I was like wait a minute... Lol. If you had to choose between this an the Avalon (top spec) which would you choose?
No, you're looking for the wrong class of car, this is sport/luxury. It has auto side bolstering when switching drive modes, that's it. GV70 and I'm sure the G80 has them.
I don't like all the mesh in the front. It is not aesthetically pleasing. The "Superman" grille is rather dull-looking. While the split headlamps and rear lights are interesting, they don't do anything for me. The backend is ugly, IMHO. What's with the GENESIS script? Where's the winged badge? The backend design is out of proportion, aesthetically speaking. I loved the front and back ends of the pre-refresh models. The half-analog/half-digital dash is goofy-looking. The blind spot camera showing left and right views on the right side of the dash is off-putting. I would prefer left view on left side and right view on right side, or at least put the views in the center.
This vehicle is anything but junk. Yes, it really takes a hit on resale, and yet all cars after 5 or 6 years depreciation take a hit. In this class of vehicle, I really do not believe that for overall value, anything touches it. I have had mine for 4 months, and I priced out a BMW m340i, and in my locale, to bring it up to par with what my G70 has on it, would have cost me $23000 more. Now, I am not suggesting that the m340 i is not a brilliant vehicle. It is. Haven't even taken into account however long-term maintenance costs. As I said, at the price point for the top end Canadian model, the Genesis is superb value, and not junk
Just picked one of these up this week in Tazman Blue. Its incredible...
Hey, I got the same color with sandstorm grey interior.... '23 3.3 top trim Pst, it' TaSman... LOL
Ive had mine same trim 3.3t 2022 and best car ever. Amazing gas, very safe and u get head turns everywhere u go.

Lol this is not good gas mileage.
Thanks for the review. The g70 sport prestige with slip diff is an animal especially in sport/sport+. Thank you
Just got mine yesterday. It is so much fun!
True..... It's a beast..... and that launch control !!! Wow... BRUTAL... lol

The side view mirrors are also auto dimming, fun fact
I have a 19 Ecosport atm, I will get this car in a few years mark my words
Thats the hard part, I don't want to eat that depreciation, but its so nice and it already dropped so much man...
@@juanandresramirez4599how much exactly
they depreciate like crazy
This is my next car love this car
Was pretty close to getting one, but little back seat space and trunk size are a deal breaker
Get a van
@@philipc239 didn't think of that thanks for recommendation

video shot in N Texas?
When the rear end slid out a bit, did you feel that the rear end corrected itself or did you have to steer to compensate for the oversteer?
Bro I had two lemons by this brand
Just got this spec !!
Kinda looks like a Bentley a little
Superman had a hand in that grille
The issue is with CarPlay not the car it does not work with any big display atm but a software fix could fix it maybe
Not really. BMW has had wireless Carplay on their widescreen displays for years.
@@Durfit which model and year? And what is the size of the screen?
Nice review! Road noise due to sport summer tires.
The G70 does come with massaging seats.
It does not. Top trip 3.3 doesn't even have them.

Far from junk....backed by the the best warranty in the car industry. Bmw turns into an oil leaking money pit after 60k miles. I know...I owned one.
