I love how ridiculous this game is I suppose nominally it's a point and click adventure. Or perhaps a walk and slap adventure? But it seems really good about making new stuff happen every single time you go a place so you can't *really* get stuck in the same way you could get stuck on an obscure P&C. You just have one interaction and simply walking around and slapping all the things eventually will give you the solution.

Complaining about Margaret Thatcher certainly is. If you put the average northerner in a room with Margaret Thatcher, Hitler, and Stalin, and gave them a gun with two bullets, they'd shoot Thatcher twice.
A quick note for anyone who is thinking of playing this - keep re-interacting with *everything* and going back into buildings with each 'loop'. Nearly everything changes and the jokes progress each time. There's quite a few jokes Welonz has missed out on.
I hate that I can understand everything that's said without the subtitles. Honestly, this is a very accurate depiction of Yorkshire, the devs did a good job. Reggie's wife could learn a thing or two.
Roger kinda reminds me of Hey Arnold; People constantly point out the shape of Arnold's head, even though pretty much everyone in that show has a different/weird shaped head. Roger's not really *that* weird when looking at everyone else in this town lol
44:05 - He's saying "Jasper, you're proper doing me nut in!" which means pretty much what you'd think! Some of this is really hard to catch if you're not from there or mad into watching British stuff.
Was hoping for some Ecky Thump action, but maybe not Northern enough. Where the crops are growing is probably what's called an Allotment, being a small piece of land manged by the council someone can gain access to for their own own use, often for flat, (apartment), dwellers. Though I think it can be shared among a number of people.
It is SO CRUEL how in Roger's flashback montage, they give us ONE scene where he's happy, where his girlfriend says she likes his big head. And even when a bully in the cinema throws popcorn at Roger, he doesn't care and he's still smiling; because in that moment, he feels loved for who he is, and that's all he needs. But then they take that away IMMEDIATELY in the following shot; oh noooooooooo!! 😭 It's so messed-up, but the tonal whiplash is pretty funny :P
If your looking for another game to try, I highly recommend the Soul Reaver Remaster that just released. Its one of the best narrative games of all time.
