Agreed. They did a few more good episodes, then the network tried to change the show in a way that made it worse-not better.

Both are all over my garage gallery, and Billy still going today keeps me in the circle of the love and the passion and the style for what they created.

I just wanted to say thank you to you and Indian Larry and this episode of biker build off … I’ve always been into bikes since I could remember and when I graduated high school in 2011 I got around the wrong people and long story short became a homeless junkie and about 6 years ago I got sober and went to back to school for welding and machining and shortly after I built my first chopper where I actually hand made all the pieces and now I have my own precision machining and welding shop and although building bikes is not what I do here for a living , You and Indian Larry were the major inspiration and influence for me to get my life together and learn the skills I needed to do what I love for a living i never dreamed in a million years I would be were I’m at in life and doing what I love and having the skills to accomplish anything I set my mind to … so once again thank you!!!! 😃👍

I'm sure I'm not the only one who found this very emotional as you talked about Indian Larry. There were several times throughout the video where I got quite tearful, and I noticed you (Billy) had to pause for a moment at one point.. RIP Indian Larry ❤❤

I'm a Black biker and I fell in love with this show! It had me building old school bar hoppers (6) while my friends was on street bike.. My best bike was a bike that had Indian Larry's tank on it that he threw away.! And I still tell people that's was a biker lifestyle that I loved the mostand glad i did it,, now that I'm on a 2019 roadglide 😅

What stuck out to me the most as a kid watching this episode of Biker Build Off was how neither of you were in it for the award, you were in it solely for the camaraderie of building an epic bike and showing it off to the people. From Larry flat-out refusing to force you to forfeit the prize to deciding to share the award with everyone in the crowd, much to the horror of the production team! do remember my dad absolutely freaking out seeing you and Larry chopping up the award on stage with an angle grinder and no safety glasses as he had gotten a tiny spec of metal in his eye while angle grinding.
Overall, love these kinds of videos since there is so much more that went on, that never would make it to air. It helps keep the story alive and hopefully inspire the next crop of bike builders!

I remember watching this in 2003. And was so impressed by how two people that were so supposed to be competing went against the rules and were helping each other.Ever since I always loved Indian Larry and his outlook on life, and how his principles and beliefs were never influenced or tainted by money or other people ( like the tv producers). Billy was very similar thats why they got along so well. I named my cat Rat Fink, cause I remember Indian Larry liked him from Big Daddy. These were genuine guys who are missed everyday. Billy carry on this legacy of genuine uninfluenced and good charactered people. Hard to find good people like this now. Appreciate you sharing your experiences with us Billy!

The biker build off episodes with you and Larry mean so much to me and my dad. We watched them when they first aired and still rewatch them to this day. So it was really awesome to hear more about your experience and what it means to you. I'm 33 years old now and it's wild to think you were doing all that at my age. Thanks for sharing brother

Fun to hear the behind the scenes stuff. I can't imagine what you went through when you snapped the second main shaft. Unbelievable.
