I like how you use motifs from both the champion battle and the normal trainer battle theme. It got me thinking that what if the trainer battle themes from each region are actually the respective themes of the trainers you play as.
I really wish Lance had some separate theme because it’s sad how he had to share the champion theme alongside Red, but since Red is more memorable the theme belongs to Red instead.

Heart Gold was my first Pokémon game. I know it doesn’t seem like much, because most people would’ve started with Red and Blue, but this game has really stuck with me. Totodile is my favourite starter to date, and my first ever Pokémon.

Usually when I play Johto games I pick Chikorita and often like to think Hibiki[[Gold/Ethan’s Japanese name]] picked Chikorita instead of the other two starters with Silver choosing Cyndaquil leaving Kotone[[Lyra]] with Totodile could be interesting for an AU story. I hope if we ever get a new Johto game Kotone becomes more of a rival then just a friend and battles you and like your other rival you can name her too.
