I am not at all surprised to see you here Truegreen, lol. Of all the PokeTubers out there I think you appreciate the music more than anyone and I love that so much about you. Area Zero's theme was honestly incredible and finding you in the comments on this incredibly well-done arrangement is serendipity.
I both love and hate the aura of Area Zero. When you go in, you KNOW something is off, something shouldn't be there, something more than meets the eye. It's a very well-executed end game mystery with an eerie soundtrack to match.
It’s weird; whenever I go into Area Zero I always leave seeing the rest of Paldea in a totally different light for a while afterwards. It’s not just Area Zero that feels off-it’s the entire setting.
This truly fits the feel of a mysterious land, lost to time and forever basking in sunlight, harboring otherwise unseen Pokémon and impossible monsters as far down as the core of the region's geological structure. It's whimsical, it's foreboding, it's enthralling. It captures what I imagined a real adventure into Area Zero would be when I first went in during the story
I was surprised that a snippet was used in the trailer and TPC didn't even bother to give credit for this remix. It's like how Grant Kirkhope wasn't credited for the DK Rap used in the Mario Movie.

No. It is a *corviknight.* "Resting it's wings after a long, exhausting flight upon the crater's sloping ridges. And he is not alone. Corviknight flock to Area Zero in great numbers, seeking shelter from the dangers that lurk beyond these escarpments. In here, Corviknight is safe to recover from it's ordeal. And, if it's lucky; to do so in company."
It's amazing that this ended up in the 8.8 direct! Love to see Pokemon accidentally acknowledge how good fan remixes are, even if they take it back super fast and then complain.
Strong “the universe's bleeding heart cries at the folly of man” vibes. Also love the inclusion of birds chirping in the background - gives strong “life goes on anyway” impressions. Like, we are not as important as we say we are.
area 0 is still such a surprisingly-good theme to me that the whole thing gives me goosebumps. Especially the opening choir. Absolutely something larger than life, somewhere dangerous and grand, somewhere you aren't meant to be. I'm not religious, but I get the feeling this is a lot like what a religious experience is like.
A crater possibly millions of years old. Pokemon from time immemorial or the distant future. A mysterious disk. A place the efforts of an empire couldn't reach the bottom of. A place from the legendary Scarlet/Violet book. Who are you, a child, to set foot in such a place? What makes you think you can face the wonderous dangers of Area Zero? What makes you so worthy? Prove yourself.
This game already had me hooked before this, between how well written Team Star's story was, to how moving Arven's was, not to mention Nemona was one of the best champion fights I'd had in a long while. Hitting this area touched my heart in ways I cannot even describe, and you have made this song just reignited that feeling. My -god-, this is a wonderful arragement. Thank you so much.
*Player and friends have to go through a elaborate process just to get down to Area Zero* Arven: "HEY IF YOU'RE A WUSS, SOMETIMES A FLYING TAXI COMES DOWN HERE TO PICK YOU UP. DESPITE IT BEING OFF LIMITS."
I came here after reading the news about your fanmade Nintendo's video. And... what a surprise, It's not the first time I came to hear this masterpiece...
As a video editor myself, I wouldn't be surprised if whoever was in charge of the trailer had to google some music to use and no one noticed it was fan-made. This happens when there's a lousy workflow, schedules are tight (highly likely considering the whole Presents was very poorly edited), and there's little documentation / organization of official assets to use from a client (probably The Pokémon Company in this case). It has happened directly within Nintendo as well, like that time they used a DeviantArt image in Smash Ultimate.
You have to be a special kind of dumb still to not see that the music you took was a cover, it says "Cinematic Arrangement" in the title, and the actual music is top search result on RUclips/Google (and if outsourced, then TCP should have given them assets to work with)
It’s definitely not the first time fan works has accidentally been incorporated into official media. Something similar happened with FNAF (Help Wanted iirc) in which one of the images of a character’s profile looked so official, the person putting it together thought it was. Once they realized what happened, they fixed it. Still wrong, but at least they acknowledged the mistake and fixed it. And now Pokémon have released the trailer again with the official song. Not sure if the creator here was contacted in the end, though.
I don't know what I expected Area Zero to be like. I kinda *knew* there was weird stuff there... I just didn't expect it to be that *beautiful*. It's beautiful, untamed, wild, dangerous, whether you're finding pokemon from Scarlet or Violet. And this music fits both; definitely eerie, beautiful, both primal and ultramodern in ways that only Toby Fox can. I can absolutely hear his influence and it's phenomenal. This is definitely one of my favorite covers, too.
A place where space is both infinite and limited. Where that past, present and future exist simultaneously. A land of vast treasure and nightmarish horror. Both beautiful and disturbing. It invites exploration, yet is forbidden. Something that shouldn't exist, a paradox. That is Area Zero.

Holy- wait a dang minute. I knew it. So earlier today I noticed the Japanese Pokémon channel had reposted the latest dlc trailer, so I rewatched it, and noticed the end part’s music was different- when I first heard it in the original trailer, I could’ve sworn I’d recognised it, but thought ‘na there’s no way they’d actually put unofficial music in the trailer’. Rewatched that part like 20 times lmao. But the second I watched that reposted trailer and the music was different I just stopped and thought holy shit. It actually was, I *did* recognise that remix. Went searching for all the best remixes I’d heard of the theme- it’s THIS remix. they straight up took this and used it in the trailer. Covering one of the best pieces from the game, and using my absolute favourite instrument (the erhu) to give it that mysterious, mournful quality… I’m in love!
This really is beautiful. I never expected this out of a pokemon game. Music you can truly feel. It shows that some people in development still have a passion for the brand.
Discovering this after the scummy Pokémon Direct incident and my goodness it’s incredible. You’ve knocked this fusion of past and future out of the park!!!
This is just absolute perfection. I already fell in love with the Area Zero theme when I completed the post-game, but the instrumentation just made this theme next level.
Didn't think this OST could be any more amazing than the original, but you managed it! The choir sections especially remind me a lot of the musical work of Kevin Penkin for the show Tower of God, and I love how you enhanced those and added extra choral bits here and there. Great stuff!
You take out Koraidon/Miraidon, getting ready to enter the unknown. You command them to leap into the foggy pit. You open your eyes at the impact of the fall, sunlight gazing beautifully through the air, Pokémon wandering gracefully around the area. There are waterfalls and plant life everywhere you look. You see strange versions of Pokémon from different time periods such as Salamence and Donphan, almost as if they travelled across time. You set up a picnic with your Pokémon and gaze at the wonderful view of Area Zero.
This is so good!! I wasn’t really planning on playing Scarlet/Violet, but if this was the official soundtrack, I would so leap on it :D Stellar arrangement, this has such magnificent vibes and reminds me of Nier
bro. I have SO MANY QUESTIONS. LIKE HOW DID YOU MAKE AN ALREADY CINEMATIC SONG SOUND TEN TIMES MORE EMOTIONAL???? YOU DONT UNDERSTAND I LEGIT CRIED DUDE
I can hear Professor Oaks opening to this: Welcome to the world of Pokemon. These are creatures that inhabit our world. Some are used as pets others for pokemon battles but all are our friends. Hi, I'm the professor and your pokemon journey is about to begin today!
I think I've listened to this song a few dozen times between yesterday and today, and I still get chills at the beginning of it, especially when the erhu starts playing. Beautiful arrangement of this song!! Thanks for sharing!
Absolutely beautiful (though I would’ve liked the see the choir at the beginning be used more), as many other commenters have said, it really does capture the aura of Area Zero perfectly. A pristine yet eerie dreamscape that shouldn’t be, where the past and future coexist in the present. I would like to add that it really emphasizes on the implications that the “time machine” isn’t actually a time machine at all, there are far too many egregious contradictions and logical inconsistencies (hence the categorization of paradox Pokémon lol, they’re not supposed to make sense), but rather an imaginary Pokémon printer of sorts, manifested into reality from the imagination of explorers who ventured into Area Zero. The paradox Pokémon aren’t paradoxes because they supposedly came from another time period, they’re paradoxes because *they shouldn’t even be existing in the first place*
As someone who has been listening to this arrangement for months, this is easily my favorite version of ANY Pokémon song! I love how despite the mysterious and otherworldly feeling, it still manages to be absolutely beautiful, especially with the ehru. You really knocked it out of the park!
The Indigo Disk is just right around the corner now! Listening to this song gets me more pumped up than ever before and I can't wait for the update tomorrow night or the morning after (Depending on the timezone)! Who else is excited?
I couldn’t imagine what the battle theme would end up sounding like with a theme this crazy, and not to say spoilers but both battle themes, if you get my meaning
Im just amased how the composers create something that can give vibres of ancient and futuristic at the same time. (That just fits perfect for the game and its context) Its just wonderfull in so many levels.

I adore this rendition of Area Zero. I've had it on loop for quite a while now. It's calming, eerie, sad and exciting all at once. Well done.
Discovering this after the scummy Pokémon Direct incident and my goodness it’s incredible. You’ve knocked this fusion of past and future out of the park!!!
TPC did the same thing with a Japanese remixer's Ultra Necrozma theme in the 1008 Pokémon video.
Funny that you think of Kevin Penkin. I was thinking about Made in Abyss when i was going there for the first time.
I think the choir is slavish style
a thought of tower of god too when a heard this
You take out Koraidon/Miraidon, getting ready to enter the unknown.
Yoo ND music is back! Welcome back! 😁
Absolutely mind blowing I love this arrangement so much
bro. I have SO MANY QUESTIONS. LIKE HOW DID YOU MAKE AN ALREADY CINEMATIC SONG SOUND TEN TIMES MORE EMOTIONAL???? YOU DONT UNDERSTAND I LEGIT CRIED DUDE
Sorry, at least you can say the big company stole your work cause they liked it so much.

I can hear Professor Oaks opening to this:
Welcome to the world of Pokemon. These are creatures that inhabit our world. Some are used as pets others for pokemon battles but all are our friends. Hi, I'm the professor and your pokemon journey is about to begin today!
Favorite route theme!! Great job making this version!!!!
Thank you SO MUCH for arranging this! This version is the only way I can listen to this track! It sounds more beautiful and dramatic
This is truly incredible, a direct upgrade to the original song, really amazing.
Everytime i think there's no way it's still as epic as when i first heard this arrangement i get blown away again by the first part. It's amazing.
Bro i found ur channel a few weeks ago and was so sad u stopped posting, WELCOME BACK
wow, thank you for this, insanely good arrangement. So much emotions.
Here to listen to what was good enough for Nintendo to copy

The paradox Pokémon aren’t paradoxes because they supposedly came from another time period, they’re paradoxes because *they shouldn’t even be existing in the first place*
amazing choice of the main melody being played by the erhu! it sounds utterly fantastic :]
Dude… you NEED more subs. THIS is quality music content!
Welcome back! It’s been a while!
* knocks away pokéball * No TPC! Stealing is wrong! Don't be a thief!

It would be fine if they at the very least credited the people who's music they were taking but TPC gonna TPC
Wow, I'm speechless... Amazing work!
I couldn’t imagine what the battle theme would end up sounding like with a theme this crazy, and not to say spoilers but both battle themes, if you get my meaning
I love it....I have no other words for it, this is incredible!
Welcome back! I'm very glad to see you again!!
And brillant work as usual. Very impressive.
Im just amased how the composers create something that can give vibres of ancient and futuristic at the same time. (That just fits perfect for the game and its context)
Its just wonderfull in so many levels.
This soundtrack reminded me a lot of xenoblade ost, especially the first one, the tracks in mechonis
Not even 30 second in and I legit fell off my seat Omfg that’s amazing
Edit: fell off again
This is so fantastic. Please make a longer version. I’m a violinist and I’m blown away. I find myself humming this piece several time a day. Give me more!!! 😂
I was blown away by the music in Area Zero. I was thinking: Is this Pokémon or Astral Chain? Someone on the dev team must be an Astral Chain fan.🤔
If Toby Fox is a fan of Astral Chain, you might be right.
this is so good!!! I love how you added a traditional/eastern vibe to it. Instant sub, definitely want to hear more!
