Punks vary completely in ideology. Saying that there is one main theme is like saying every jazz musician believed the same thing and wrote songs only about that. Crass was one of the earliest and largest influxes of real liberal thought into punk rock and thankfully there are tons of bands who carry that on today and don't just talk about getting wasted and fucking shit up.

And I'm not sure if your "desire through peace because of the huge amount of bodies returned" was meant to say the government or the people wished for peace. Because the government didn't care about casualties, they only cared about winning the war without retreat. The people wanted peace and it was achieved through endless DEMONSTRATIONS and large amounts of CIVIL UNREST. The government got sick of dealing with it and decided to listen to the people.

Again, semantics. You can focus on the emotional distress that war brings about and use that as your motivation to strive for peace rather than being dragged down with it. In other words, in order to avoid anger, frustration, and grief brought about by war you chose to promote peace instead of supporting a war. Therefore being both anti-war and pro-peace.

By this logic then, the Vietnam war demonstrations would have led to more war. As you can see, this logic is flawed as anti-war demonstrations helped end the war in Vietnam. The same can be said about a lot of things, therefore disproving The Law Of Attraction. I can agree that sometimes change require positive thinking, but there's a difference between expressing your opinions to incite change and being so entrenched in a feeling that you become helpless.

In order for revolution to occur, a change in social character must occur first. In other words, education comes first, then revolution, then liberation. I work with communities to bring awareness of class struggle.

The demonstrations were both because they are the same thing. You can't be pro-peace without being anti-war. If you were pro-peace and not opposed to war itself then that just wouldn't make sense. It's semantics. People saying "fuck the war" is the same as saying "End the war" or "Time for peace." So back to the original point, these people (as defined by the laws of attraction) would have only contributed to the wars escalation and not it's ending. Bollocks.
