  • We traded the Jeep for a Truck after 3.5 years of ownership. The Jeep was a great vehicle, but we just were not using it much and thought we would get more use out of a truck. Watch along to find out what we got.

    Hey Rick I used to followed you when I owned my 2013Crosstrek, around the time you got your Jeep I got my FJ cruiser(for better off road capabilities) and after I got married and now have 2 kids I have a 2023 ranger lariat Tremor(black)😂. I guess I’ll update my alerts and patiently wait to see your videos again. The videos on our trucks is super limited so I’m excited for you to make videos with this more than underrated amazing truck. Funny how we ended up with the same vehicle for a second time.

      That's so cool! My son still has the car and is having a blast with it. :). The Jeep was a great vehicle we just were not using it much and the truck is so much better on the road. Good times. Thank you for checking in!

    Rick Hutton I’m fairly sure the heated steering wheel is through the touch screen. Should be on both the climate screen as well as the Home Screen of the Ford UI.

    I have a ‘21 Ranger XLT Tremor which I purchased in May. Have not done any off road driving yet, it will be handy for winters here in Iowa.

      Very nice. Just back from a camping trip with my son on a trail I have taken my previous Jeep on and the truck did great. Very competent off road. Have fun this winter!

    Nice! I almost got one as well after getting rid of the ZR2 Bison.... But, at the time, dealers had shortages. Bought the Jeep Gladiator Mojave simply out of pure impulse... As much as a car guy that I am, I have to say, it is nice having a truck...
    Enjoy!

      Very cool! I looked pretty hard at the new Colorado trail boss, but in the end opted for the Ford. I really like the Gladiators as well, nice choice.

    Thank you Rick for inspiring me to build my crosstrek up, and actually trading in to get a Willys Jeep. After pushing the limits of the crosstrek, it was nice to have the capability of the jeep to hit the much more difficult terrain. its now lifted, with 35s, but the steering got even worse (despite getting adjustable conrol arms, custom alignment) so I know your pain even with it just with stock steering. Enjoy the truck!

    • @AZdroptop
      @AZdroptop  8 месяцев назад

      That's awesome. Did you see that my son put a lift on the Crosstrek? :). He is taking her to the next level I guess...really makes a difference for some obstacles which is great. Unfortunately no mater what you do to them they don't have a locker or good articulation.
      Sorry to hear your Jeep is still having steering issues. Did you do the steel steering box? Supposedly that makes a difference and I believe there is a TSB on it? When I first got my Jeep I tried to get one, but with covid and backlogs it never happened.

    Nice rig! And my Crosstrek is gone replaced by a 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road. Also have a 4 Wheel Camper .. Swift model, on the back! Those steps/running boards .. mine lasted two miles off road before I crushed front passenger step and at mile three I got the one on my side .. I just cut them off and sprayed the remaining rails with bed coating .. looks fine. Look forward to reports on how this does for you! 🤠

      Hi Al, good to see sir and congrats on the Toyota and camper. If I ever find the time to spend more time camping I may do a roof top tent or something....Agree on the side rails..I have hit the step part already and thankfully they can be removed by just a couple of bolts.

    The Taco Pre-Runner is going to be a choice for 2024 with a turbo charged engine and a rear locker- and a reasonable price tag. If I didn't like my Mojave so much I'd be considering it...
