  • NOT LONG AGO! Rick Lagina has just found the MOST valuable Treasure on Oak Island ever
Imagine putting $15 million into a gold mine only to find that the gold you find isn't as valuable as you thought it would be. That's exactly what Tony Beets felt when he took a big risk and went to Dominion Creek to claim and maintain the mine. Despite his best efforts, Parker's excitement slowly faded as he struggled to find profitable ground and avoid possible financial problems. Come with us as we look into how Parker goes all out on the $15 million New Dominion Creek Claim.
Again, they started working on the money pit. Mitch said that this time it was on deeper ground and was about twice as big as the land along the Indian River that they worked on last year. Parker will spend a lot of money this time, and he knows it. No gold will be found on the land. Tyson talks about how Parker will feel when he has to spend all of his money on the project, even though he has a lot of money saved up. He says it will be a while before they get enough gold to pay off their bills. Everyone must be afraid of going bankrupt.
Rick Lagina is being risky with everything to build a big business. He spent all the money he had on the $15 million Dominion Creek Claim, even though he was only 28 years old. Parker says it's been a crazy, expensive spree where they've spent more money than ever before on nothing.

Barnum would be impressed with his ability to continuously make money off that preposterous Oak Island fantasy.

    A very disjointed analysis
    - you talk about Marty being an Engineer which is correct but at times attributing this to Rick and as others point out he was a postal worker.
    - You imply that Rick walked into the program worth $10 million. He was a postal worker not a congressman
    - You imply that Marty is running through mountains of cash hunting for treasure. Those machines, consultants studies cost big money. If it was Marty financing this he would have been long gone by this time.
    - It is my personal opinion that the History Channel is funding this show entirely and perhaps initially Marty put up some funding to get it started but as it became obvious that the treasure was elusive it was the HIstory Channel picking up the tab.
    - This treasure goes back to the 1700's. There were no Caterpillar excavators, backhoes or dirlling equipment. Pirates too lacked these tools. To be looking at depths of over 100 feet is absurd. Anyone trying to bury a treasure in those days would be digging no more than 20-30 feet. How would they get down to 150-180 feet with manual labor. I suspect that artificats are planted to capture audience attention and keep viewers dangling. I was drawn in but after 8 seasons I gave up. So in summary:
Rick retired and Marty retired and they huddled and came up with the idea to pitch a reality series to the History Channel. Marty likely put up some cash to buy half the island and put up some buildings but he would be insane to continue dumping more and more $$ into this venture. I believe today the bros. are banking in on the popularity of the show.
You have a convoluted and complicated way of telling your story. I don't by your spin.
