Words cannot express how much I love The Adventures of Herbert “Daring” Dashwood. I am going to be 70 years old and still playing Fallout and listening to this clip. 🤣
@@GenericUsername-qp1ww I liked Radio New Vegas and never really heard the songs I didn't enjoy (like Johnny Guitar) very often it was mostly the good stuff (like Big Iron)
@@thefluffyoctopus5543 mod for the new authentic songs (unused Ink Spots songs and Louis Armstrong, for example) on the radio has really helped me with that problem. To be honest, it felt so refreshing to play this game on PC after PS3 and Xbox 360. It's much more stable and you can install some cool things that could very well be in the original vanilla version. It takes some time but it is certainly worth it. Same goes for New Vegas. It's like a whole new experience.
So, Argyle’s dead in Rockopolis, the place seemed to have caved in, there’s also a note there with slavers talking about taking some people to the Pitt, and Dashwood’s at Tenpenny Tower. How lovely.
I doubt you'll read this but the part where Argyle rips out Miss Chase's heart may not be exagerrated. If you "resurrect 1" him using commands, then hit him to make him hostile, he one shots you. His Kung Fu Skills are not to be played. Too bad he's dead in the Canon.
@@MikeTango7Z9 I sent the link here but I think it got removed since I cant see it anymore, any more suggestions? (Unless it worked and youtube isn't showing it to me)
There should have been a follow-up that was just "The Adventures of Argyle", and he's just, like, sitting at Moriarty's, having a drink and a laugh, and standing up for Gob...never mentioning that time that Dashwood fell to his death...
I can't believe I never heard this while playing, is it because there is some quest related to this that I never did? dashwood is an npc of the game as far as it goes
I have noticed that I have not heard it once during the campaign I’m playing now. I heard it many years ago when I played the first time around but even then I didn’t hear it often.
Also, I don’t know if it ever had anything to do with a particular quest. The only thing I can think of since you mentioned it is getting the ghouls into Tenpenny Tower. The first time I played, I helped them get in and I did hear the Dashwood show in that run. I have not helped them ever again since and haven’t heard it. Could be a coincide but I’m not sure. 🤔
@@FreshSpecimens its on the radio though it unlocks more as you follow certine quest lines im pretty sure. Like if you do the slavers camp quest im pretty sure it unlocks some new stories.
Herbert himself is actually alive and well within Tenpenny Tower. And there's a quest or maybe an unmarked one where you can find Argyle in the ruins of Rockopolis. Unfortunately he's a corpse.
I swear I remember it playing on Galaxy News Radio when I played this years ago. However, I started playing this game again a few months back and I am up to level 18/19 and haven’t heard the show once. I have never checked it out but I wonder if there is a particular mission or interaction in the game that triggers the show to play?
I always crack up from the way he says ,,Argyle you magnificent bastard”
“Hey, Fella. Got a Light?”
“KEKEHHHHHH!”
here i thought we were friends and now you have a gun in my face bad form miss chase... bad form

GNR made this game so much better. Can't play without listening to it
Same, but the same songs playing on repeat every two minutes drives me a little nuts, lmao

Argyle knew. Bitches are hoes and tricks
Can someone tell me if you can still listen to this guy after he dies to ghouls in tenpeny power
David Green You can. I kept hearing it long after I did the quest.
@@NotRemmyCormo I realized that to after a while and then I was like I still should have killed the ghouls though because they killed daring dashwood

I wish they would make more of these, their really entertaining and relaxing to listen to

herbert jumping from the last episode seems to always be cut off in-game
Argyle can reverse pick pocket and master in unarmed . Wish that other followers was as cool like him.
I wish there were more!
Sky Bloom we already know the end but would be nice to hear it on here
Phoebe Smyth, Yeah it would be great... I tried looking for fan made ones but no dice. But yeah it would be beyond amazing! :D
Sounds like argyle pulled a muscle and hurt himself preforming the lotus kick.
"Penelope chase, fortune hunter"
Thanks for having all of this compiled, what a great day to listen again!
Not now, babe.
Herbert Daring Dashwood is on.
0:22 when someone fixes or figures out something for you
Hmph the adventure just kind of ends in a cliffhanger, what a damn shame.
The end certainly explains a lot. But not why Rockopolis was caved in....
scooterjab well when argyle and Herbert escaped they both triggered a cave-in
What? No new episode!
These are my favorite stories! I need an ending!!!!
Zen episode 4 will come in the Next game taking place in The Capitol Wastland
Argyle is dead.. so that probably explains why they only had 4 episodes
@myxarmxpits1358 but obviously they got out of that cave somehow and escaped the people of Rockapolis
I haven't thought about this in years wow this brings me back.

I love Fallout.
"The ole Shady Sands shuffle", LOL. Shady Sands is a retirement rest home, you can imaging what was going on there if attrition was by Grenades.
Shady Sands is also the capital of the New California Republic.
Wish you included at the very end of the last segment, "and now some music".
“The ol’ shady sands shuffle. It sure brings me back.”
Dang it they ended on a cliffhanger…
Who is the voice actor for this, he's amazing! I'm pretty sure it's just one guy.
Herbert Dashwood: Paul Eiding
Argyle: Mike Rosson
Super mutant: Wes Johnson
Crazy. He’s even able to disguise himself as 3 separate voice actors.

I’ve always imagined it as one of those really old cartoons, like very early batman or something.
