I think you guys are amazing ❤ The internet can be ridiculous when it comes to hating on you for something or anything for that matter. Your armadillo is super cute and I’m very happy for you. The amount of bad owners out there, you guys certainly deserve to choose your pets and pay for them, bugger the haters. You will look after this armadillo better than 95% of people who own them. Super cute and super cool, in Australia we have very cool animals too but I’m jealous you have an armadillo. I’m a wildlife carer and vet tech as well and I have an enormous amount of animals in my home too…all rescues except for one and of course orphans I care for that will return to the wild when they are old enough to care for themselves. Keep up the great work!

Oh guys, I’m so so sorry about Lucky. It’s so hard to lose these babies. I honestly think it’s a stronger bond than human to human because there’s no talking that gets in the way of the connection. We get it, and so so sorry honey. 😞
Love that you re-home birds. I will be setting up areas in my home and getting some empty cages to start re-homeing also. When I am ready I'll advertise with different channels that I'm available in the South East.
Haters are going to hate...as hard as it is, try to ignore them. Rescuing animals or buying animals does not matter as long as you care for them properly. Captive bred and born is AWESOME!! Unfortunately "rescue" has become a bit of a buzz word. I adopted/paid for an 8 week old puppy from our local SPCA. She was born at the shelter, never knew a day of discomfort, never missed meals or medical care. When people say how nice it is I rescued her, I actually correct them. Rescued her from what? She was doing just fine before coming into my life.
If more people were half as passionate about their animals as Gabby was Lucky this world would be soooo much better.
Loved the armadillo. I want a couple of them ( never have just 1 of anything) I just need to learn more about how to take care of them. So precious.

My heart goes out to you Gabby I know this is an old video from several months ago but the love you had for the bird was touching our animal companions are family and the bond bird people have with their birds is profound and special. Birds are winged beings that choose their humans!
That screaming hairy armadillo is so adorable! I am glad he is in good hands with you..often people get super cool exotic pets when they are not educated on how to care for them properly. condolences for your loss gabbs! it took me almost 6 months to get over " Iggy" . he was an iguana i rescued while doing electrical work at someone's house. he was completely malnourished , living in filth , abused by 2 families for the first couple years of his life. it took almost 2 yrs to completely turn his attitude around to the point of hand feeding , he no longer attacked myself or my cats and became the sweetest guy ever . his diet was super on point, heat in the room went from 80 at ground level to about 90 under lights. humidity 50% . he had an entire room to himself. had him for almost 5 yrs when his health very rapidly declined due to kidney failure. I brought him to tufts animal hospital where he stayed for 3 days . because of the first couple yrs of abuse he had MBD and crystallization of his kidneys. I took him home excited to see him and roughly 3 days , 1400$ later , he died as we were rushing him back to the hospital.
my heart broke ! I didn't want this animal to begin with, but I couldn't leave him at that house to die. I turned his attitude around 180 , he had everything he needed including ALOT of love . but the damage had been done. it took me 6 months to not cry thinking about him as my animals are my children ! he was beautiful and my buddy! loved him so much ! so I feel you gabbs ! I'm glad you guys are back in wish you both a happy New Year !

So sorry to hear about Lucky. I went through the same thing recently with a cat I rescued. I went to feed him and he was dead on the floor. Necropsy showed it was a single heartworm in his heart. Nothing we could have done, tests don’t even show well for cats, not much treatment options for cats, very rare in cats. I feel so much for you for going through the same thing with the sudden death.
On happier note, congrats on all the new pets and providing such a great home for them! I’m excited that you’re so excited!

You guys love animals, take the time, have experience to take care of them. You take the time to explain about them, and everything isn't always "fun" doing rescue work. I know nothing about exotic animals, but as long as you can take care of them, don't exploit them, provide education to those who are interested, who can critical? Best wishes for the New Year!

My family and I just moved to Florida 3 days ago, and I've been on a mission to see an armadillo! They are soooo cute!!!! I think it's amazing what you two do for all those animals too.
Please be careful. Armadillos can transmit Leprosy Disease to humans who touch their skin or faeces.

Sorry about Lucky. I used to babysit a Sun Conyer, fantastic bird. He too died suddenly. I was so sad. I loved spending time with him. If I every got a bird, that is the kind I would want. I can appreciate how hard that is.

Unconditionally the best love that I ever had she showed me more love than any person ever did.. she was 17 years old when I rescued her and I had her for over 10 years.. I don't think I could ever replace her ,but if I could ever have a chance of rescuing another bird like her I think I would jump to that so please keep me in mind if something comes up with any animal I want to start rescuing turtles too I love all animals thanks for all y'all do you're too wonderful God blessed people.

Love watching you guys. I think you’re amazing and I’ll never understand why people choose to be so negative about something that is nothing but positive. They must have too much time on their hands and no drive to actually try and learn about something that they obviously have no clue about and apply that energy to making a difference in the world. But when a person has no ambition and they are too lazy to educate themselves and most importantly don’t have the kindness in their heart that it takes to even be able to do what you guys do 24/7 365 days a year for so many years all they can do is hate. You two make it look easy when its a lot of work and this makes people jealous and so they do what they know and come here and doo-doo on something very good. Then they take a nap probably lol. Screw’em!
I mostly wanted to comment about Lucky. I’m so sorry for your loss. I know it’s hard to lose a little buddy. I had to have my little dog put down a few months ago and I still can’t function. I had PJ for 12 yrs and she was 3 when I got her. Her family was never at home and never talked to her or loved on her and when they were about to move they asked me if i could find a home for her since I was the maintenance man at the apts we lived in and knew everyone so it would be easy for me to do that and I said sure. I fell in love with her and I think I already was in love with her. I gave her a much better life than she would’ve had otherwise. But she made my life so much better so we helped each other. No matter what it’s always going to end. That stinks. Anyway sorry for writing a book on here. Thanks for what you guys do and I look forward to the next video!

I think like the line is between rescue/pets like you and Chris have vs the Tiger King style zoos that's are so prevalent in America and that places like that don't look after their animals and are more concerned with making money than people like you guys where animal welfare comes first and foremost. I think for a lot of people they cannot make the distinction. So glad you're back on RUclips and look forward to your next update. Xx
