Moving is one of the most stressful things to go through, and considering all the animals, cages, tanks, etc. you had to deal with on top of everything else you guys did a really great job! Enjoy your new home and beautiful property!💚

I’ve had 30 years experience adopting doggie rescues. Many were not potty trained but with one exception, all learned quickly. We always have at least two dogs so they usually also learned from the other dogs. One has been something of a fail…he was a New Orleans street dog rescued during a hurricane. We’ve had him for years now and he will even go to the door, but he still has accidents. He’s my support doggie as I’m now largely bed ridden and loves to hang with me and get cuddles…a hang on the porch and drink mint juleps kinda guy. We just take him as he is and he makes us laugh a lot. Moving is no fun! Great place!
I super appreciate the floor recommendation! I’m living with unfinished concrete flooring right now and trying to research what are BUDGET/PET/KID friendly options! So anytime you want to share an update on your flooring, I’m here for it! What a stressful but EXCITING time!

I've been watching via your Instagram stories the bits and pieces of the process but wow! Moving is already stressful enough but with all your animals it's so much more work. And the rain! Oh the joys of moving house!! Then you guys have to take all of those sweet creatures into consideration as well! I’m not surprised Chris was feeling stressed out, I would be too. I can’t tell you how badly I would love to get in there to help you guys sort out everything! But I imagine afterwards, I would be begging you to let me work there! Lol Your property is just stunning! Those views from your windows……. Yes, I am insanely jealous! However, I am EXTREMELY happy for you guys. You deserve this and it is just so perfect that you have so much space available for all of your animals, plus any additional animals that come to you in the future! With all of the available land that you have, have you considered building some sort of staff housing in the future? I know you are going to have your hands full for quite some time! I was just thinking that you guys could end up with a large number of needy animals in a short period of time, and clearly you are going to need volunteers and staff to help you guys. You know how time consuming it can be just taking care of a large number of animals with regular needs, just with feeding, cleaning out poop, then taking care of sick, injured and neglected animals, it can be a lot. Then add into the mix, building new enclosures, maintenance, and expansions. The times that animals need round the clock care. I was just thinking that it would be so helpful to have some sort of staff housing, whether you have 1 or 2 live in staff, then a couple of extra bedrooms for other staff members who maybe need to spend a night or 2 there, to help out with sick animals, injured babies that might be handed in, who will need regular feelings through the night. I’ve moved with animals (not quite as many as you have lol) and it is a job. Now that you and the animals are in one place again and once a routine is in place, hopefully things will ease up.
