Pico de Gallo

  • Pico de gallo is nearly everyone's favorite fresh salsa, and it's the perfect partner for guacamole - especially our super-simple guacamole - and chips or tacos. Customize this recipe as you wish with milder peppers (or remove seeds and membranes for less heat), skip the garlic if you'd like, and up the lime if you like things tart.
    Ingredients:
    1 large tomato
    1/4 medium onion
    2 cloves of garlic
    1-2 chile peppers (jalapeno, habanero, serrano...)
    Salt to taste
    Lime juice to taste
    1 tablespoon cilantro
    Dice tomato, onion, peppers, and cilantro, mince garlic, and stir together. Sprinkle with salt to taste and a squeeze of lime. Stir. Eat!
    Storage: Pico de gallo is best eaten fresh, but will keep for a few days in the refrigerator.

    Love seeing you post recipes - they're always nothing short of fantastic! I've definitely gotta make this and guacamole the next time I have tortilla chips! Would add so much flavour! Great work!
