- Thenkuzhal Murukku is a popular savory snack usually made for festivals especially for Diwali and Krishna Jayanthi. It's a crispy and tasty snack made using rice flour and urad dal flour.

Ingredients
2 cups Rice Flour 1 cup = 250 ml
3 tbsp Urad Dal (whole)
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
1 tbsp Butter
1 pinch Asafoetida (Asafetida / Hing)
Salt to taste

Mami,thnks without using butter will it be crunchy,nu I have a doubt mam,roomba thnks for using,oil sometimes even in my house butter will not be available so using oil simply nice recipe.😍❣
Thank you 😊🙏 Hot oil also makes the thenkuzhal crispy. Sometimes butter makes it brittles so i prefer to use oil instead 😊🙏

Coconut oil usually pongadhu. only if you add other oil with coconut oil this will boil. you can add a pinch or tamarind in it to stop boiling

Rice and dal flour mill la araikka ratio sollungo
the ratio is 5:1 for flours. you can grind 4 cups of rice and 1 cup of urad dal separately and then use 5:1 ratio and mix the flours.
