Very tempting. Please tell me what oil I should use for frying these murukku etc because I use kadala ennai groundnut oil for cooking of course til oil nd coconut oil also for certain vegetables and vetta kuzhambu etc.

Hi madam, are you using 1 cup or 1/2 cup payatham maavu for 3 cups of rice flour. Because I see 1/2 written on the measuring cup( while you are taking payatham maavu). But you say 1 cup. Which is right. Also, should I dry roast payatham paruppu, cool it, and then powder it in mixie. Seive it and then measure it. Thanks, thinking of making mullu murukku for this Deepavali. Had this doubt, so asking you.
thanks a lot for the recipe mami... I tried ur proportion.. but somehow it didn't come properly.. may be because of the store bought flour... then I added a small cup of urad dhal flour , then it came out nicely... it's just a tip from my side in case if anyone struggling with Store bought maavu

Yogambal madam, my mullu murukku is not coming out well. Colour is coming out little dark. If we take out little early it is not crispy. I am using the rice flour from the shop.
I am in making process. Ellu is bursting in the oil while frying mami and after frying its crisp outside but very soggy inside😢 don knw what mistake i ve made. Help!!
May be you can try reducing the heat and you must wait until the sound of oil is reduced to near silence(yennai osai adangara varai.) Also sometimes when it is still hot it will be soggy. If after all this it is still soft- then check the proportions of the rice flour: pasi paruppu flour: pottukadalai flour.
