In our surveillance world, more and more drivers are fitting their vehicle with a dashcam. Everyone has an ill-fated story about their vehicle being damaged. And dashcams may or may not remedy this problem. These are good because the video footage is not-biased - it records what it sees. However, the quality of the video is subpar. Only if your vehicle and the other vehicle are stopped will the video show the license plate of the other vehicle. Most important, the video produced may in fact show that you were the driver at fault. Consider carefully if you’re going to get a dashcam.

I thought of buying two dash cams and installing them in my car because it can be much safer and I wanted to protect myself from someone committing fraud road rage and even worse is hit and run

Can you please suggest - In a residential area with no clear line separation, If I am driving and there is car parked towards my right and while I am passing it, I shift slightly to my left to make room. There is another car coming towards me from other end. The other car has no car parked to his right. So the other car has free space to his right, but if the other car still comes closer to me and hits my car in the body (not the front end) , does the other car say it is his right of way and claim it is my mistake? The other car had ample time to shift to his right, but he doesn't and now says its his RIGHT of way to travel in that imaginary middle line.
