  • In this video I show you how to establish your audio connection on Batocera.
    This is a common problem when you first boot up a fresh Batocera image on your PC. You have to manually adjust the audio output in most cases. This will simplify the process for you.

    Thanks, also for me, it was really quiet, so I had to go into the sound settings a set system volume all the way up, so I could actually hear it at a proper volume from my tv

      Yeah it can. I never use kodi personally for anything else but it does have those additional options that can be a help. I had a build a while back actually it was my first batocera build and I went through all the audio options within batocera with no luck. The kodi options were the ones that worked for me.

    I set this up on an old Pi3, selected HDMI sound worked in menu but not in emulators.
    This was on a brand new install.
    Really odd shame looks much nicer than Retropie.

    Hey buddy, do you know how to make Batocera send audio out through the stock speakers on an arcade automatically? Every time I turn on the PC the sound comes out through the PC speaker and I have to unplug the jack cable and plug it back in to make it work. This is so annoying since I have the PC inside the cabinet.

  • @alanharvey9825
    @alanharvey9825 4 месяца назад

    While I do have sound, I can't get my sound bar and my two 4 inch speakers to run together on my arcade build. I have an HDMI audio extractor running from my Pi5 to monitor and sound bar is linked via Bluetooth to BATOCERA. I've messed around with audio settings in BATOCERA and Kodi hoping to resolve the issue, tried a USB to 3.5mm soundcard as well as another audio extractor and am stumped but it kinda works out cause I can play the top speakers at night since it isn't loud and sound bar when everyone is awake. I'd much rather find a way to fix it though than to settle or invest in more equipment.

    Hello, have you made a tutorial on batocera not connecting to external displays?
    I use a usb flash drive and a laptop to emulate and use batocera, I want to connect and use batocera on my TV by connecting a hdmi cable to my laptop and TV. When I go into settings and change the video output to hdmi, my laptop screen goes black but doesn't send any signal to my TV. I am sure that the cable or the hdmi ports aren't the problem. So do you have any idea on how to fix this?
    Thank you

    I have direct evidence that the linux driver just doesn't work with AMD cpus. I have exactly the same launch box / arch linux set up I tried ALL the settings, nothing works . I bought a expensive audio card that works with linux but it fails exactly the same way on my AMD machine but works completely perfectly on my intel machine. I have the focusrite Scarlett Solo and now my emulator finally has working audio on intel i7 old school dell optiplex and now I have a 100% working emulator.

    He configurado la salida de audio y perfil de audio en HDMI 2 en configuracion de sistema de batocera 33. También he configurado en Kodi la salida de audio en HDMI 2 en la opcion de arriba y también la que hay desactivada en la parte de abajo también en HDMI 2 luego salgo de Kodi y el sonido funciona. Pero al reiniciar batocera 33 o al apagar y volver a encender en batocera ya no hay sonido. Al reiniciar batocera no guarda la configuración del sonido. En la configuración del sistema batocera en la opción de salida de audio la opción HDMI 2 vuelve a predeterminado a la opción que había antes de cambiarla y no se escucha nada. Alguna solución gracias? Lo tengo conectado a una televisión HDMI. Lo he conectado con cable HDMI y con adaptador DP display port y no guarda la configuración de sonido. El sonido de la televisión se escucha bien y el sonido del Pc también funciona bien.

      Check when this video was released...it used an older version of batocera. The process is different for the latest versions of batocera which is likely what you're using now. Go to output audio type and switch that around. If using hdmi it'll be one of the hdmi options listed.

      Try switching your audio output source or audio profile. I've found the audio to be tough to get connected more so than the last one. Didn't have garbled audio but had no audio for several boots.
