These chills when the revenge music hits. 🤩
👍🏻 classic!
Thanks for the tips. I definetely will try this out. Makes a big difference
Definitely!
Man these little tips really can change the overall experience… thank you
Definitely! Thanks for watching!
It's perfect! It looks like a hardware upscaler was used! Some emulators have filters, but affects the text and doesn't resemble the original. With less powerful graphics cards you can't overclock them unless under Windows as a virtual machine, but that wouldn't be high performance for Batocera.
True story!!
@@OfficialChaseBrogan do you know how to fix the frame rate for a raspberry pi 3b+
I’ll have to try this tonight on my set up.
Definitely!
Great stuff! awesome to know! I set up a Retropie and will try these settings thank you!
Hey there these are done on batocera so you may not have them on retropie
@@OfficialChaseBrogan This is my first time hearing about Batocera I did the research and see I can install it on my Raspberry Pi keep up the great work!
Thanks a lot for the video. This is perfect.
I’m not having much luck with this. The resolution is better but the framerate tanks significantly on my pi4. The games I tested so far were Goldeneye, conker’s, shadows of the empire, Pokémon stadium 2, battle for Naboo, and quake 2.
Great video. I’ve been wanting to tweak the settings for N64. Do you have a pick for a wireless N64 controller to use with batocera?
I don't have a wireless one. I think there needs to be more controllers geared towards this collection. There are a few but they're wired. I'm surprised 8bitdo hasn't done a n64 style controller yet
@@OfficialChaseBrogan a pity that’s the one for the switch isn’t available
Great job brotha
Thanks!
Thanks! Really appreciate it!!
Great video! Off topic, but what controller are you using for the n64 emulator? Have an 8bitdo pro 2 I used for most emulators but don’t know how to get it mapped close to the n64 controller
What is a emulator
If I have a 4k tv should I run my games upscale 4k with shaders or leave them at native resolution with shaders
hey it looks like /RICE is no longer available on modern batocera. Is there an alternative?
thanks for the info. are you using an raspberry pi 4?
Thank you!
Thank you
I have a 3b+ and with the 16-32 bit games all run perfectly it’s just most of the N64 and PS1 games I have are a hit or miss/. And I don’t want to go around in the settings, afraid that I won’t mess up something. The little research I’ve done people recommend that you manipulate the frame rate or something?
You say ‘stretched’ as if it were a positive thing when it comes to Mario Kart. Also, just by changing the core you didn’t show what was actually being changed in settings. (Resolution, filters, shaders, etc). Would appreciate more details/an updated video.
Some like it that way some don't. I typically play retro games in their original ratio especially when it comes to Nintendo games but many don't. All I changed was what was shown in this video. I didn't go into settings and make any adjustments. The core changed everything automatically.
Hello there, just finding your videos as I'm just getting into retro gaming. So tried this but not one game will run with "rice". Any suggestions? Batocera 38
Which Raspberry Pi is this running on?
Hi, is there a way to get into this menu with arcade-controls ? Thx so much… hotkey is not working😢
Can you do a updated video on how to run games through a NAS? I managed to make it work only once, but after I ran into a problem and needed to format, I was never able to make it work again.
I'll have to look into that and see if I can do that.
Is there a non gui way to make this changes on a per-game base? Where are the configs this values get stored? Appreciate any advice!
Hey, I am having trouble saving N64 controller in Batocera. Retroarch won't allow a configuration save. I can only use a few buttons when in game. Any advice?
For some reason it won't let me choose the super rice option any idea why?
does this apply also to retropie? Or just Batocera?
Should apply to retropie as well as long as you have the additional n64 emulators installed. May not work as well done a raspberry pi computer board doesn't have as many capabilities as the average persons choice for running Batocera but should improve it to some extent.
Thanks! Can you explain the same for ps1 on batocera?
i would have liked to know if you can change the emulator choice for all games in that collection of games without doing them all one by 1.
Yes, you can go to advanced settings for each gaming system and change it for all games for that system
Can these same fixes be made with
retroarch?
Yeah it's going to differ slightly but you should have the same options in there. I'll have to do a video on that soon too.
@@OfficialChaseBrogan awesome! Thank you so much!
Definitely would love a Retroarch video on this!! Thanks! Great content!
I tried this emulator but it didn't work. I think all game files have to be extracted. It won't read zip files
I believe that's correct. Mine are unzipped.
Did you add that Rice core , as it’s not available on PI 4 ?
Yeah this is for batocera on a regular pc. Raspberry pi isn't going to be able to handle that
So I’m using emuELEC, when I selected that core it doesn’t load any n64 games. Do you have to use certain rom files ?
I had that same question
How to change controls on rice emulator?
What about adding scanlines?
Tried to change to mup……rice but the game will not start if I use that emulator
Some games don't but the majority do in my experience
Now all my n64 stopped working and PlayStation1 gameboy Nintendo they would not start after a scraped all and got out of disk storage🙈
@@joachimhe6595 This exact same thing happened to me once I scraped. Did you ever resolve this?
with Rice i lost the ability for controller vibrations rumble back. any way to have it ?
I'm not sure
@@OfficialChaseBrogan I figured it out. Click r3 and it's on. However I had really had stock drift even when editing config file so I swapped away from rice
I do not have this emulator available. Is there a way to install “rice” on Batocera?
Not sure do you have a older version of Batocera? Mine is about 5 months old and it's on there stock
@@OfficialChaseBrogan Mine is only a couple of weeks old Batocera 33. I have noticed a couple of little differences with it
Batocera 34 just came out. We will find out together. I do not know your actual name. Retropie guy thank you for all your advice and info for retropie and Batocera. Without eta prime you and Batocera nation I would be lost. I Cant thank you enough. Thank you retropie guy
