As much as I like this series, it took me a while to accept Capaldi. When he said, "Did you think I care for you so little that betraying me would make a difference," I said, "That's the Doctor."
cute. Yes, this makes sense, I have never considered it from that point of view, who has not yet accepted Capaldi right away, thank you for your view. Yes, indeed, he behaved strangely all season, not like the Doctor, there were doubts, but this answer in your eyes finally made it clear and know that it was still him. Cute.
The round windows in the facility's doors, and the 3W logo, both resemble the shape of a Cyberman eye, a circle with a teardrop, which is why the final shot ends with the Cyberman's eye coming right up to the camera.
FINALLY ! I waited for this episode since the start of the season ! For Danny he died from a car crash because he didn't pay attention of the route because the phone. The phrase "You thing betraying me will make a difference ?" from the Doctor was so good. It's was one of my favorite moment of 12 ! Hello Missy ! ❤
Grief does awful things to people. Clara would never normally do this but she is in the denial and guilt stage of grief. We become completely irrational. We are supposed to think shes in the wrong here. Shes been lying to him for months & when she finally decides to tell him everything, he stops in the middle of the road and she blames herself. Its no excuse for what she did (or didnt do, it wasnt real) but its understandable Their relationship is very toxic, and it does get addressed
I have nothing to say about this episode, good episode, quietly waiting for the next one. I'm just glad you finally got around to it. I loved Clara and the Doctor's strong friendship. Finally we got to Missy - By the way, we have the cartoon Cheburashka, Missy is very similar to the character Shapoklyak - A song from the cartoon: Whoever helps people wastes time, one cannot become famous for good deeds. (With) . . . . . . Off topic, but one of the very important quotes in my life. But I can tell you not about the episode, but about how this episode helped in my life, this happened not so long ago. Now there is trouble in our country, so I now understand and sympathize with you how some people are sometimes impolite, remembering the Second World War and Germany, when you people have nothing to do with it, now we ourselves are in worldwide hatred. Nowadays, few people trust anyone and my dear friend has fallen into... well, let's say into paranoia, he sees enemies in everyone, we have a problem with LGBT and many other things, someone is betraying someone... a friend has broken off friendship with everyone. But I was stubborn, he called me and forced me to stand in -30 cold for several hours, beat me during the meeting, and in general did everything to make me leave him. But I was stubborn to keep the friendship. Ultimately, he gave up and didn’t understand why I was still with him, then he told me how many people had betrayed him. To which I answered him as a Doctor, this quote saved our relationship, I answered him - but at the moment it was you who betrayed your friend, who betrayed everything that I considered important! - Sorry... - Do you think I value you so little that I’ll be offended by betrayal? Now everything is fine with us, I help him with everything I can in this difficult time, not to lose myself and not to do stupid things, to remain kind, he now completely trusts me, the 16-year friendship has been preserved. Thanks to Capaldi for this good phrase, I used it at the right moment and hour. PS: I will never talk about this again, people don’t talk about this... but I really wanted to tell you how this episode was one of the most important in my life.
@@mathiasbotteman7211 Don’t worry, everything is fine with me, I protected the entire server, I protected both my own and strangers, everyone is important to me, I even told once how Khamov protected some, also wonderful people but with shortcomings, because there are worse people. In general, everything is fine, I suffered for a year, I suffered, I didn’t show it, but I managed, and I hope I can handle the rest. It’s not for nothing that I watch Doctor Who, he teaches the right things and morals, so I don’t give up :)

Wow thank you so much for sharing your story. I guess this show really helped people more than I ever thought it had. :) I wish you all the luck and wellbeeing in the world, you seem to be such a kind person :)
13:12 funny you should mention that, there’s a comic which shows an alternate timeline where 12 tells Clara to “go to hell” and does throw her out the TARDIS… so technically the events of this finale never happen in that timeline. And let’s just say… life doesn’t go too well for the doctor after Clara leaves in that timeline It’s called “Four Doctors” and also has the 11th, 10th, 9th and war doctors
This is the first time we've had a Time Lord gender swap on screen. Prior to this, we've had references and passing comments. Missy is my favourite modern master, though.
Your observations are so delightful. I would say that the showrunner at that time, Steven Moffat, took his inspiration from "death" and our human attitude towards it. Although in his very first story he had the Doctor say "And everybody lives!", for the most part he explores our (the audeiences) fear of, attitude to and aftermath of death...as you will see...
im sorry but how can you watch the "do you think i care for you so little that betraying me would make a difference" scene and skip right over it without having anything to say about it except to keep carrying on about how angry you are at Clara!?!? especially when the doctor just forgave her... that made me want to stop watching the rest of the video because if you don't recognize that massive breakthrough in the doctors development and their friendship i feel like you've missed even more than i realized
I´m sorry that my reaction upset you. But after the doctor forgave Clara, I shifted my intentions as well. I don´t know if you recognized it, I went from just beeing angry at Clara for what she did, to questioning wether it´s the right thing for the doctor to do, just forgiving her, even though her actions could have had such a big impact on the doctor, and could also have a big impact on him in the future. Because if she went to such a dark place once, who guarantees him that this wont happen again, and maybe next time he wont see it coming and she might ruin his whole life. For that reason I don´t think the doctor should have just forgiven her...For his own sake in the future. That´s what I was talking about. I did recognize what he said (The forgiving part) and shared my thoughts about what happened on the screen. I just didn´t agree with the doctor, and I still think he shouldn´t have done that so easily.
This episode was mind blowing at the time. Missy quickly became my favourite villain, but no spoilers. As for the promised land symbol, it's the cyberman eye.
That park is kinda behind the 'Lazarus' museum location. Sheila Reed returns, one of the few links back to Matt. You couldn't just ask politely, could you Clara?😂 How did someone as short as Clara collect the above door key? That's the fourth style of Cybermen walking away from St. Paul's. They're referencing 60's publicity image.
OK, but other than the character being played by men beforehand, what exactly was masculine about the Master? Here's you... A blue box that's bigger on the inside than out? OK An ALIEN who change their appearance upon 'death'? Cool This can include gender change? Ew, gross... And before you bring James Bond into the mix. This is at all not like that. Bond is human and all versions go by the name of 'James'. The Doctor and Master aren't human.
What was feminine about the Master before Missy? No one cares about Bond. Both the Doctor and Master have been male since introduction. Was he both Grandparents to Susan?@@thepandorica1660

Yeah, it's s shame that not everyone understands that scene. There's even people who probably do, but they just hate it for the sake of hating Clara
Personally, I'm glad for this scene, this scene showed how much Doctor Capaldi cherishes her.

Joanna Lumley anyone?
The master was in series 3 and the specials end of Time part 1 & 2 after series 4
Lots of Christmas cheer & empathy in this reaction
The “throwing the keys” scene ignores that he can snap his fingers to open the TARDIS.
Isn't that the point though. The Doctor doesn't care he just wanted to see how far Clara would go
Thank you for saying this. I really like the scene but I alawys think that too. However, I guess it is a dream so maybe she forgot that.
