Hey there, are you referring to the cleat on the starboard side of the kayak? I totally forgot to mention I have links to almost everything in the description as well.
I noticed you left the motor mount angle pin with the stock position. When you install the new Torqueedo, you should move that pin down one position so the motor sit 2 to 3 degree tilt outward for optimal performance. Check out Jeff little video for setting up the motor for maximum speed.
I totally know what you are talking about. I tried that before and it really sunk the back end of the kayak down and didn’t plane very well. For this hull, it affected speed for me. Seemed to use more battery to maintain speeds as it isn’t propelling forward rather than downwards.
Nice setup. You should went with the Torqeedo Adventure Package | Travel Ultralight which their latest improvement with high capacity battery with amount of money spent.
Thank you! 98% of this kayak was built at the beginning of the year so the 1103 was the only option at the time. I will definitely be running the Adventure Series next season. Do some compare and contrast videos on both motors.
Brandon, that's a really great rig you have, who did you go through for all the mounting/rigging for motor/electronics,etc or did you do it all yourself?
Thank you! Everything done to this kayak has been installed with my own two hands. I have a full build series as a playlist if you want to go deeper on what I did. The reason is because if any unforeseen circumstances were to happen, I know where every wire or bolt is and I can diagnose an issue myself.

Great setup. How did you end up running the nav light wires into the kayak?
I actually have another video walking through how I wired everything electrical wise. But essentially I ran the wiring through the bow hatch.
