    thank you so much. it worked. I removed the battery, pressed the power button for 1 minute and ta-da!
    I had my thinkpad sitting on top a plastic bin for a few days, but never thought it could cause this. thanks again.

    Oh lord this isn't as involved as I feared. I was dreading having to lift the entire mainboard like in SOME HP laptops...

      I kept reading this thing was soldered... this is not too bad!!!

    You removed some kind of clip with an opened paper clip - I didn't see how you put it back - that was all.

    Can it function without the battery, solely on A/c power?

    How can i be sure its a battery problem and not the cord or the connection to the charging port .

    • @Techgurl
      @Techgurl  2 года назад

      You have 2 charging ports in this model. Charger need to be at least 65w

    What did u use to remove screws?

    • @Techgurl
      @Techgurl  Год назад +3

      Just a regular screwdriver

      @@Techgurl I tried it. Didn’t work $29.95+tax at staples and to take out the battery was extra. It’s still in there and I won’t get a battery there

      I realy dont understand what you had trouble with here. Just unscrew the screws with simple screwdriver, then use prying tool to open the plastic cover, unscrew few more screws, and thats it. Removing the plastic cover is the hardest part but totaly doable if you have nails or prying tool...

      @@Techgurl I done this before on laptops. Literally installed a hard drive on two other computers. So not an idiot but literally could get but two screws out! I don’t understand either and wasn’t happy to spend money for the task

    • @Techgurl
      @Techgurl  Год назад +2

      The screws not supposed to come out all the way. They need to stay in the plastic cover, you just need to loosen then as much as possible

    Your next video adds hide how to put the strange key back in case - the one removed with paper clip.
