Thank you so much! My Lenovo yoga 7i died and their customer service was an absolute nightmare to deal with. Your advice of removing the battery and letting the static pass worked to perfection! You've saved me so much stress. If anyone else has a similar problem, you'll need a torx T5 screwdriver to open the cover and a Phillips PH0 screwdriver to remove the battery. I got mine as a set on amazon for $20. I hope this helps :)
OMG !! Pc Monkey saves the day again! I followed this tutorial - struggled to get the screws out, got a new screw driver set & took out the battery like a pro! Used another tutorial about taking out the little wires attached . Voilà ! Held down power plugged in and it came to life !! Hallelujah!! Where is the tip jar? Put battery back in & it worked! Another reminder to save files on the external hard drive 😊 Thanks again! I love my computer and wasn’t ready to say goodbye! I think the issue started when I plugged computer into the wall at a public library 📚 😏

I don’t know what I would’ve done without this video, my warranty has expired so I would have had to pay for repairs. For those of you who want to fix it now/don’t want to spend money but the battery is internal, try just holding down the power button for a few minutes. Edit: turn up your brightness too

Thank you for your help in fixing my Lenovo laptop. It did take 3 tries with pressing down on the ON button for a full minute, but it finally took. I had spent most of the day looking for new computers. So happy this unfroze my computer. Thanks so much for your help. I was one of those people who keep my computer plugged in and not letting the battery run down. Who would have thought about this. Will operate my computer differently from now on.

This is great. It worked for me, T15 Gen2. I opened the back, disconnected the battery, pressed the power button for 1 min, reconnected the battery. Thanks!
I went through monst of your videos today took ram out cleaned it bios reset checked the battery even disconnected done it all about 3 times cleaning all connections and my laptop's now turned on been trying for weeks but never took it apart till I watched your video Thanks

The problem is i cant open the back of this laptop ( because of the warranty ) and cant find a way to repair it without having to take it apart. Hi. Firstly, thanks for your great instructional videos. They are really well made and easy to understand. Makes a nice change :-) That said, am still having an issue with a Lenovo Ideapad S145. When it is turned on, the power light comes on, but there doesn't appear to be any other activity. It doesn't feel or sound like anything is happening within the computer and the screen stays black. The power stays on, but nothing at all is happening. I have removed and reinserted the RAM but this has not done anything. Any ideas or does it need to go to a repair place? TIA
The simple procedure didn't work for me, but I have a T560, which also has an internal battery (and a CMOS battery). I put a new webcam into a T560, but afterwards it wouldn't power up and was totally bricked. I tried unplugging the charger and external battery and doing the power button hold, but no joy. Finally, I opened it up, disconnected the internal battery and CMOS battery too and held the power button again. I reconnected the internal and CMOS batteries and tried again, and it powered right up. I was incredably relieved. After puttng it all back together, it worked fine. Even the new webcam worked. Thanks!

you can always buy a new charger if they're still in stock!. just order one from amazon, from the creators of lenovo, and try not to buy bootleg versions of a charger, I hope this helped

I have Y520 and it didn't require any special screwdrivers FYI to those out there.

I kept the power button pressed for like a minute or so and eventually my laptop was functioning properly. Hope this helps. 😀

Outstanding instructorial! However, when I retrieve my dead HP to try this (it had been sitting OFF uncharged for about 2 months) it magically turned on! Do you think a laptio will de-static by just sitting?

Ive spent all day trying to fix a coworkers laptop. I have the novo button and read 1000 trouble shooting threads. Thank you so so so much for this video! After 30 seconds I could hear the motor - my heart almost stopped. I love lenovo computers so I bought them for my office and have had nothing but problems. I was dreading another i told you so moment from upper managment. I cant thank you enough!!!!

I lost my charger ,due to this quarantine we are not able move outside so plz say how to charge my laptop
If you dont have a charger... then you cant charge your laptop. Sorry
you can always buy a new charger if they're still in stock!. just order one from amazon, from the creators of lenovo, and try not to buy bootleg versions of a charger, I hope this helped

I want to thank you. I removed the internal battery, held down the power button, and voila! it works again. I did have to reinstall Windows, but it runs fine now. Thanks again.
