Wonderful memories of visiting this mall back in the 90s
I remember being in junior high and being dropped off at this mall with my friends on a Friday night . Was something I’d always look forward to . Parents would give me $10-$20 and I’d buy a shirt or sour powder from hot topic . I also would love going to Mr. Rags ! Thank you so much for sharing this . I’ll always have a spot in my heart for Stratford square .
I'm heading over to Springhill Mall today to video that mall since they announced their closing next month also.
10 years ago I was at this mall almost every day. My son was little and he liked going there for a train ride, merry go round, playground, ice cream, teriyaki chicken at Sarku Japan, we watched movies. It was a fun place. So sad. 😢
Unfortunately it will be rubble in a couple years.
They're sadly closing it down on April 22nd😢 did any of the escalators work? How'd you get to second floor?
Escalators are turned off. You can still use them as stairs.
Lids was the only store open?
And Kohls
What going to happen to it? I can only find little info about it.

What made this mall loose so much business?
People are shopping via Amazon or Costco and not spending all day there anymore like we did in the 80s and 90s.
It was that shoot. ng back in 2018 that started the downward spiral, then covid sped it up by 10x
the owner of the mall owed a lot of money & didnt pay it or didnt have enough money to pay the stores are suppose to pay the owner but they all said no

I doubt it ever returns
It's being redeveloped
