I see your vision. Definitely move the accordion trellis .Your corner moss pole plant deserves the space and when it leafs out, it will look smooched into the corner.
I used to be a picture framer and that sounds about right. It's always been crazy expensive and even more so now I imagine.
You could find a creative solution that'll cost next to nothing I'm sure.

I have a question! When your bring men back to your apartment do they grimace and fake smile while saying “wow, you have a lot of plants” or is that mostly a straight man thing? Anyone can get in on this. I’m just curious bc it seems like my plants scare ppl away, like 10 is the max before ppl are like wtf. 😂🤷♀️ which obviously if you’re gonna try to control my hobbies then we aren’t a match but I’m curious.
Skylights are such an opportunity when you have hanging plants! There must be someway to show off some epiphytic plants under there. Glad you're feeling better! Take good care of yourself.
I used to be a 🖼 framer back in the day - depending on how you’re having the plaque framed, what’s it’s made of/how heavy, it can definitely be pricey, although $450 is 🤯
I was however recently quoted close to $200 to have a print a friend made matted and framed in a simple wood, at Michael’s. With a coupon 😅

We've been in our space for a month now and I've just started moving all the plants around again to better spaces. It's definitely a journey not a destination when it comes to where a plant lives and thrives. Hope you take it slow and let yourself heal so you don't relapse!

I know custom framing is expensive but $450 is outrageous. Your well earned RUclips plaque will look elegant without a frame in my opinion. I hope you are happy in your new home. It's beautiful.
Nick please if you have a Joann or Hobby Lobby in your state go there too get your plaque framed. Joann always has a 60% off coupons for their framing shop. $450.00 is an absolute scam! I love your videos & have learned from you. Was thinking you could put a shelf mid window where the casing meets on the windows. You only need to leave a small enough gap so you can still open your windows.😁 It would double your shelf space!!!💚🌱🌵🍂🍄

Suggestion ...
Find a ready-made open frame - no glass, no backing - in a larger size than your RUclips award. Hang your award where you want it and then hang the frame around the award. It'll be an attractive art piece vs a "picture". When you've got such tall walls, remember to work horizontally with an occasional tall and more architectural piece like your trellis. You're doing a great job!!

Ideq🪴.. I had an office with windows similar to your bedroom. I hung a trellis horizontally across the top anchored with hooks - so it looked like a valance - had a pot of philodendrons on each corner of the windowsill..trained them to grow up and fully covered the trellis end-2-end. A green glow filled my room at certain times of the day…loved it…many compliments.

Dude custom frames are obnoxiously expensive. That doesn’t sound like an exaggeration to me. If you have Michael’s craft stores in Philly they often do 50% off sales because they know normal people won’t get custom frames otherwise. Best of luck.

The Dischidia looks great hanging there. I hope you come up with a way to hang more of your plants. There have been a lot of great comments about this. It all takes time starting fresh on decorating. I like the Urban Outfitters shelf unit where you hung it. The trellis's will look great once the plants get settled. I'm really liking what you've done so far. I hope you find a less expensive solution for your RUclips plaque. Maybe you could hang it as is, then style other things/plants around it. The price of frames is obscene. I don’t buy custom framing. I get frames at garage sales for like twenty five cents and frame it myself. The pottery piece is lovely.
Why not hang a plant or two in the family room, put up a vertical shelf. Or find a unique book shelf and decorate with plants and things.
Your cat will love a chair in the bedroom.

it depends on what type of frame you get, I had a really large poster that I wanted framed and I'm almost cringing to say this but it was over 900 bucks, but it is a very very large art piece to frame and the type of frame I got was heavy duty, so maybe a fool and her money were parted, but I look at this art piece everyday and I love it. I think it was a good purchase, but I could have looked around more maybe?
lol just measure your RUclips plaque and buy a vintage frame online as an artist I know frame stores just rip you off

Trellis next to desk: variegated pothos (marble queen, global green, philodendron Brazil) more of a textured look; but might revert. Or a neon or lemon lime would bring some bright color back there. Although I’m figuring you’ll prefer something with larger leaves?

I used to work a framing shop - I would say that sounds like not a totally surprising price to frame something like that. Professional framing definitely is expensive unfortunately, and something like a plaque is a bit more involved than a simple photograph or print

Maybe add another black and or white grow light over the brown growshelf to tie it in with the white one? (Been watching this when my sleepaid kicked in and having english as a second language does not help with words at times 😅). A bit too white overall for my taste on the walls ( but I am glad to see some spots of coulour here and there🤓 and yes, I am one of those that have very little white at home and plans on covering those with something brighter when the wallet allows).
Tho! Loved the terracotta/orange-y wall in your bedroom! ( got a similar colour in my kitchen 😏)
But am looking forward to see the progress and do not worry if you bring in subjects of decorating design ideas in the vlogs as well! I tend to love both plant and decorating and recluttering vlogs 😂❤

Some framers are super high end and $450 doesn’t sound crazy high if that’s the market your in. However, most of us can’t afford that and/or don’t want to spend that much! You don’t get get wealthy by spending all your dough! My husband collects art and he goes to Hobby lobby to get all his framing done. I have not asked him how much it cost because I honestly don’t wanna know. His addiction is art and mine is plants! It’s a good combination
Michaels does good work and are priced well, especially when they have a 40% coupon. Also, they have software that will show you the result.

Hi from Helsinki Finland. I love your content and your style. One suggestion: I would get wooden (strong) curtain rod and put it on the bedroom window to hang more plants.
Nick you can use an adjustable extension rod inside your window to hang your trailing plants from creating a curtain effect like you had in your other apartment without putting holes in your ceiling.. Happy decorating.

Nick love what you are doing to the apartment so far! I was wondering since you hanged that bracket in the center, can you hang two more brackets on each side of the window, too? Is that wood or concrete? Anyway I think you could make it work and it would look fabulous.

Yeyyyyyy i know how it feel moving with lots of plant i was screaming at my 23 yr old twins when my anthuriums was being transf8er in the car i keep telling then grab it like a baby then my son grab it aput one of the plants wrap it like a baby i was laugthing so much but moving is stressfull

Congrats 🎉OMG I have to move on Monday and have to work out of town this weekend and am soooo behind. my husband and I are moving out of our home at 14 years but luckily we’re just moving right around the corner. I cannot wait until we’re all moved in and my stress can start to go away. My plants have all just been sitting in two main areas because I don’t want to mess with them too much before we move. Hopefully they have a great transition and aren’t pissed off.

Hi Nick a little tip on hanging the IKEA trellis. Hammer two finishing nails in the trellis where the trellis crosses were the bolts are, both sides. same at the bottom. It will stiffen the trellis and easy to handle . I was able hold it with one hand then mark were needed to drill the holes.
