In interviews after the movie, Kermit said that the wedding wasn't real, but Piggy said it was. Kermit once said, "Piggy and I have a professional acting relationship. I act professional, and she acts like we have a relationship."

I love that the Muppets canon has layers.
The "true" canon is that they're actors in real life. Then there's the second layer where they play themselves (as performers) in loose "reenactments" of "real events". Then the third layer where they play highly fictionalized versions of themselves (also as performers, but in completely "made up" scenarios, such as this movie). Then the fourth layer where they play other characters.
Kermit truly invented being a dude playing a dude disguised as another dude.

15:04 "That thing behind their heads" is like a mini juke box. There were diners where they would have one of these on all of the tables. Like a regular jukebox, you would put money in and select a song.
They were all hooked up together and your song selection would be played over the diner speakers.
Basically it was a way to pick out songs on a jukebox without having to walk over to one and maybe have to stand in line.

Well on the off chance that someone passes this along to you, hi I’m Sophie lmao and I just really wanted you to know from the bottom of my heart that having you to hang out with on here has been the greatest gift one person can give another human being. You have given me parasocial friendship, laughter, advice, shared experiences and stories… I have been dealing with some rocky years, transitioning and having never worked or been independent, while the single dad I was raised by (along with my kickass grandma who was a mom to me in every way) is the sole breadwinner because I just have always struggled to socialize or function in society or make friends. And I know you have no idea I exist, but every time I watch you, I am sitting on a couch with a friend I feel safe with, laughing at and crying at great cinema. Thank you so much for what you do and I’m so grateful to God that you can make a living doing it. 🙏 Many blessings and greater successes yet I believe you’ll go all the way and beyond! 🥹 Sorry for the book. Just… God bless you, Ashleigh. Thank you. 💜
