Ah, my favorite skin care product ingredient! It has so many benefits!
Vitamin A is great for anti-aging! Why? Our skin replaces itself once a month. That is until we're older, then this process slows way down! Leaving us with lines and wrinkles. No worries, vitamin A speeds this production back up!!
Pigmentation whether it's sun damage or post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (the redness you have after a pimple resolves). This vitamin helps to remove this unwanted pigmentation. Also softens the appearance of deeper scarring overtime.
Vitamin A is great for acne as it keeps your pores clear and tightens them!
Vitamin A can be drying so it's important to hydrate with a good quality moisturizer!
Due to cell turnover, you also need to use a quality spf and avoid excessive sun exposure and NO TANNING Beds!!
I think everyone needs Vitamin A unless they're pregnant. It's also discouraged while nursing. Mainly because there's one study showing birth defects. That's pretty intense levels of Vitamin A in this particular study though... a better alternative for pregnancy would be glycolic acid! There's not enough information other than the study done on Isotretinoin (Accutane) so we say it's better to not risk using it while pregnant!

How did it work for you? I’ve just tried the cream and I love it after being on so many expensive skin care lines.
I've used this since my mid 20s and I'm 35! Love it but for the sake of my job I do try other products occasionally to test out before recommending. I typically always go right back to this or Tretinoin when I'm breaking out in my jawline.

In Canada, the A-OXitive Night Peeling Cream is the equivalent to the RetrinAL Intensive Cream! It has 0.1% Retinaldehyde.

I haven't personally experienced purging at all with Avene. I do not always use a moisturizer over top. I actually use it without one sometimes. Due to dealing with maskne I've had to use this product more frequently. So because RetrinAL dries the skin a little, for me it's appropriate to do this. If I'm dryer I apply our Marshall Ultra-hydrating serum first.
Followed by Serucell Eye Serum
tgen I apply retrinal cream.

Hi I can't say for sure on the percentage but I know it's delivered slowly which makes people tolerate it better. I have people sometimes switch from differin to this especially if they have drier skin. Sometimes the other ingredients in Differin irritate or over dry. But I have patients who have very oily skin prefer Differin

Hi! I’m looking to start using my first retinal ( and never used retinol before). Would this be too strong- the 0.1%? Thank you so much!
For most people you will do fine with this strength. They do sell a 0.5% that is not as strong. You could play it safe and start with it instead. If you have aged skin, I would go with stronger. If you are young and just getting started then 0.5% would be fine to begin with :)

I’ve done extensive research on this and according to dermatologist who love this product , there is no difference. Both are safe enough

I bought this with your recommendation. I do not have sensitive skin. Is it normal for it to feel a little burn? Nothing bad but it was there. My face felt super super dry the next day and I had a couple of red splotches on my face. I thought this didn't have the usual side effects (dry, peeling skin). I wore sunscreen as always, but I'm not sure if I like this. I wanted to buy their advanced wrinkle corrector as a recommendation from Dr Dray but it's discontinued.
Hi, did this happen with just one use? This is what I would expect more with tretinoin which is much stronger. Sounds like you're very sensitive. You can try mixing it with a moisturizer to weaken the potency. In the winter I sometimes have to do that because of getting dryer skin.
I would wait a few days to try this though since your skin is already compromised.
@@aestheticiantrishmccarty1317 yes 1 use. My skin isn't sensitive though that's the thing lol. My skin is still burning slightly. All I'm using now is vanicream and sunscreen
@@prncess20 I would let the irritation clear up and do not use during that time. Then I would mix this with a moisturizer that you know your skin does well with. I would do a patch test. Only apply it to a small area to see if you have irritation again.

Should I just use olay retinol 24 fragrance free since my skin isn't really agreeing to this? Should I keep the eye cream or ditch it as well?
@@prncess20 you're welcome. I wouldn't ditch it just yet. If the eye cream does well keep using it. I would use something without retionl on the face while the skin clears back up, then do the patch test with it mixed with the moisturizer. It will be stronger than olay but a little weaker than what you purchased so that your skin may tolerate that better
Does anyone find the Avenue retrinal hard to spread? It sets up so fast and I feel like I have to use more product than I like. Any suggestions appreciated✌️
Really!? That's actually what I love about it is that I find it spreads very nicely. Are you ordering it online some place? I've never had that issue myself.

Well then you definitely should've gotten the true product. I asked because some products on Amazon are fake. Maybe add just a drop of your moisturizer or a hydrating serum if you have it on the back of your hand and mix together slightly enough to make it more smooth.

It really depends on the skin type. People with normal to oily usually can just use this by itself. People with dry and/or sensitive skin sometimes benefit for a moisturizer over top. Thanks for watching and hope this helps!

Yes! That's what I would do. If you start to get too dry you can also alternative every other night using this one night and a regular moisturizer the other night.

I'm 19 urs old cab and use products I have undereye circles n lite wrinkles is this worth enuffgh to use
I think this is really too drying to the under eye. I like using close to crows feet which you likely don't have at 19.
I would try an eye cream specifically for dark circles and puffiness but unfortunately eye creams are not perfect. We have a couple that I think make a decent difference. Apparently the a-oxitive is the equivalent of this outside the US. I'd phone Avene to double-check
Do you use this product around your eyes?
I use it personally where crows feet happens however, I do not recommend using directly under the eye as it dries that area out a lot and makes it look worse.

They do not sell RetrinAl in the UK nor in the EU. Does anybody know if PhysioLift is the equivalent? I am trying it, but it doesn't say 'night' on the packaging and it has retinaldehyde. If anybody knows, appreciate the info. Thank you!

I wouldn't put it directly under, I'd get the eye cream so that it doesn't over dry because it'll make it look like more lines! It's fine to do crow's feet

I'm new to the whole retinol thing as my crows feet are getting pretty bad, I'm 42 and thought I'd try olay regenerist night cream, it says it's a night cream so I put it directly under my eyes the past few nights and I swear my wrinkles look worse! The creases are going longer down. My son even said mum you got bad wrinkles. Like they are more noticeable. What am I doing wrong and what do you recommend for under my eyes directly?
Also I've just in the last month developed eczema on the outer corner of both my eyes, it's itchy and sore and I can't get it to go away. I feel like I'm falling apart.

Yeah, that product was too drying for you! Also don't use anything that's not designed for the eye area or it will make it worse.it is usually too thick unless it's an eye cream. Serucell Eye Serum is the best I've found! I reviewed this on my channel too with a photo I took of my friend whose in her 60s. This is worth the price!

You may only wanna do your cheeks twice a week and the rest of your face every night or every other! That's what I do typically because I'm the same. In the winter though I usually only do my jawline every night just because of blackheads but the rest I do twice a week. You just have to learn what your skin can tolerate.

They just came out with a serum that's easier. I don't notice as strong of a smell though honestly. Sorry! I do have a deviated septum though and don't smell well.

@@Kamase318 It is still effective however, it can weaken the potency to some degree which actually works best for me in the winter because I get so dry. No problem! I think people will like the serum a lot too because it is white and not orange! It is a more natural alternative. I plan to do a video, I have just been too busy to film one!
