I bet the labels are kicking themselves in the a$$ now that these ladies are on a massive creative streak. Love the different sounds coming out of the camp! 🤟🤟🤟🤟
That's EXACTLY why I love them! A little bit of new wave, a fair bit of rock, some mellow pop tunes(which I love too). Pretty much everything! I'm a 56 year old headbanger who turned 13 in 1980, but I'm loving them! Saw them twice and they put on a great show! Had an extra ticket to see them back in November and for the heck of it, asked her if she wanted to go (My parents were 18 when they had me and raised me on what became classic 70's rock). She listened but didn't care for much of it and couldn't for the life of her, figure out how I liked them considering I was, and still listen to, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Priest, Saxon etc. But I loved New Wave, punk in later years etc. They remind me, but don't try to copy, The Go-Gos. Listen to Blame Brett, then listen to Vacation by the Go-Gos and tell me you don't see the influence or at least similarities!
This is awesome! Had never heard The Beaches before tonight (I think I kept confusing them with that band just called Beaches) and every single song I have streamed after discovering them has been a real treat.
I've been thinking the exact same thing and through all of the videos I've watched of theirs, not one person has said that! I think this one has more of a garage punk vibe, which I love, but their latest, Blame Brett, and Let's Go, I would say definitely sound like the GoGo's!
@@nunyabeezwax6758 Growing up is mandatory, growing up is optional! I'm 55, a headbanger since I was 13 in 1980 but love all forms of music regardless of anyone labels it. Love this band, saw them twice now and I rock out as much as the young kids at the concert. My GF only hears some of the radio stuff and labels them a "girl band like it's bad. As a bonus, the first time I saw them in Guelph, they stopped the show and brought my friend, who they announced as "a friend of the band" on stage where he proposed to his girlfriend! Unexpected and pretty cool to witness that one!
When are we getting a new album! Yer killin me here with just singles (not actually killin me, I'm ok. Y'all are great) (new album would be dope though)
Hmm 🤔 from a George Martin point of view through my ears not bad it's incredibly hard to create your own sound as well a completely whole style to call your own once you reach that certain sound without people pointing you down the path learn as much as you can and always ask for guidance once you comfortable in your own sound it would be nice to do a white album
the beaches never miss do they

Welcome to the majority! I'm a 56 year old guy and some people can't figure out why I like them, based on one or two songs!
Gogo's of the 20's!

I was once one of these people and I too enjoyed it.
Now I’m just old. Lol.
I never got to be one of those people and I'm pretty old too. ;(
Can some zoomers adopt me as a zaddy?
Maturity is my kryptonite anyway. Hah.
