Anybody who thinks metal musicians are just angry and uneducated, should watch this and really appreciate the fact that he can’t live without books, plus how his biggest inspirations are his grandma and Marcus Aurelius. Randy is such an amazing guy
He has said in the past it’s his favourite vocal performance.. and when you know that listening to it you can’t unhear it.. Also Omertà is a song I covered vocally with my old band so I’m glad it’s in his top 3 🤟
Randy has come so far from the "Killadelphia" days... So glad we still have him, glad he's still here 💜 Oh, and him saying I like slow music while being the front man in LOG is perfect 👌
His picks in books and films really shows how much of an intellect he is, like damn!! Also for everyone here, Down and Out in Paris and London is an impeccable read!!
Saw lamb of god at my first metal concert ever in Norwich on the 11th. It's so sick to see Randy go from the absolute madman he was on stage to talking about books.
Randy isn't a weeaboo at the slightest, though he likes Japanese culture, he comes as a professional, profound fellow. You rock Randy! I wish to see LOG in concert one day. 😊
I forget hes old as hell now, lol. Im from New Kent close to Highland Springs where hes fron and Burn the Priest played a set at a chick from school at one of her parties.... i loved metal after that. Also find him a HUGE inspiration in my sobriety. 4 month and going 💪
Australia in his Top 3 places, I've been waiting for them to get back here, last time they toured Aus was in 2016 with Slipknot on the East Coast and played their own shows in Adelaide and Perth, well I think what Australia needs is the State Of Unrest tour, would be awesome to see Lamb Of God and Kreator on the same bill, both released albums last year
My intro to psych prof turned me on to Man's Search for Meaning about 25 years ago. Tough book to read, very emotional, but I always figure if Viktor Frankl could survive that and find a way to find meaning in it I can survive whatever life throws at me. Love Randy.
i lived 10 minutes from their jam spot when they started out in Richmond Va and Im kinda surprised something off of their "Burn the Priest" days didnt make his top 3 songs..alot of peaple don't know about them before they changed their name to LOG..Not only is Burn the Priest their roots but they whent so fucking hard back in those days🔥🔥
My goodness does randy ever look like Jonathan Davis in that thumbnail lmao. Didnt realize randys been evolving into davis for the past 15 years lol i love it
For some odd reason metal heads always get deemed as stupid fucks with anger issues in society and I have zero idea why. My best friends are mostly metal heads and they are the nicest dudes and chicks you'll ever meet.
Seems like music is an effective outlet for him. I mean, listen to Gomorrah then watch this interview lol. It'd be like reading a printout of my social media posts then meeting me in real life. You'd be like uhh... sir did you write this?

Just introduce them to Nergal. Yeah that’ll blow the doors off that stereotype
Truth! I love metal music and I read all the time!
I mean yeah he’s a human being at the end of the day. Lol
Do people really think that though? 🤔 lmfao
So true. Anybody who thinks like this is just plain ignorant and judgemental.
Randy seems so at peace with himself lately. It's beautiful.
King Me is such a deep cut, loved that song since Resolution came out, it's cool knowing it's one of his favourites

It's very well known Randy doesn't listen to metal and never has. He mostly listens to Punk and is a huge Bad Brains fan amongst other things.
Check out their old stuff in their Burn the Priest days..Shits tough
@@BigSmOkE.in.321 I've been a huge fan of BTP for years! ✌️
@@MardyBum100291 Correct... But I wouldn't exactly call punk slow by any measure... I just thought it was a funny comment
Ugh, i have such a man crush on this guy. Hes so genuine

this guy is awesome
Love Lamb of God, they were 1 of the 1st bands to get me into Metal 🎸🤘🏼
"I like slow music" says Randy at the end of interview.
That's funny
Brilliant questions, very interesting answers. I really like how cultured Randy is
Randy is so humble!
This guy is amazing. Lamb of god 🔥
This interview is the redefinition of you can’t judge a book by its cover.
This man is a gift, from the god you worship, AND the demon you blame.
Saw them in 2022 in Cologne and in Essen recently. Rocked the house 200 percent! 😎🤘🏻
Saw lamb of god at my first metal concert ever in Norwich on the 11th. It's so sick to see Randy go from the absolute madman he was on stage to talking about books.
Omerta and Resurrection Man are my 2 favorites, so amped to hear they're 2 of his 😂

I had the fortune of seeing them live and it was insane! Definitely one of the best concerts I've ever been too
Damn hearing him talking about Australia gives me hope they’ll be touring soon 🇦🇺🔥
Agreed, can't wait for them to return down under.
Same here, waiting for them to return, it has been too long since they were last in Australia
I forget hes old as hell now, lol. Im from New Kent close to Highland Springs where hes fron and Burn the Priest played a set at a chick from school at one of her parties.... i loved metal after that. Also find him a HUGE inspiration in my sobriety. 4 month and going 💪
Randy was such a fucking maniac, glad he's chilled out.

I saw log life in Leipzig the first time and his voice blow me the hell away and he looks serisuly like a real nice guy
Wish I could play omerta with him one time in my life 😢
Slough Books are amazing highly recommend
Randy had the abyss stare back. He's an amazing poet. We all have shared his disgust.
I would kill to go back in time to see Leeway, C.O.C. and Bad Brains on the same bill.
My intro to psych prof turned me on to Man's Search for Meaning about 25 years ago. Tough book to read, very emotional, but I always figure if Viktor Frankl could survive that and find a way to find meaning in it I can survive whatever life throws at me. Love Randy.
Heck yeah love slayer
His laugh is so funny. and what a very well-spoken, calm guy Randy is. Sometimes I can't even believe he's in a metal band.
The cackle it’s amazing isn’t it? 🤣🙈
Cool video, a nod to you my good man for kicking the sauce, I too wish I had realised sooner.
I’m exactly the same when it comes to coming home from touring or gigging with my band. Don’t go out for gigs and enjoying the silence quite a lot.
Some of the best lyric writers in metal also love reading books. Who knew?
Lost in Translation is my favorite movie as well!
Randy is very amazing ❤❤❤❤❤😂😮😮😮😮
Love how he's playing with his Dreads 😂

He is that old? He wwss 18 in 88? Your telling me he is reaching 60? Do you think he meant 98?
He is retiring in 3 years he says
He's a good cat... kudos to his Grandma! Lerne leiden, ohne zu Klagen.

25 years of performing has him sounding like a Kardashian
Randys just a dude
Not As rad as he used to be! Don’t see the flames 🔥 in his eyes anymore! That’s really sad!
