There is nothing anyone can say to truly express what David Crosby has done to our culture through his music. His metamorphosis from drug-ridden self-absorbed music superstar into the most remarkable of human beings who now spends his twilight years giving us his heart through his music and teaching a new generation of musicians what it means to be socially responsible is - astounding. The documentary of his life that Russell Crowe is directing which premieres this fall - will be the most important film of 2018. Go see him while you still can - your heart will soar ....
I like him now more than I ever have... actually I wasn't that big a fan of his; I thought he was all those bad things you mention. But somehow he has emerged better in soul and even music than ever. I agree with him about the idiocy of Neil Young. Now THERE is a self-absorbed man who I better shut up about right now.
Chris, the most worthy recipient of a MacArthur Grant ever! With David Crosby..oh! Priceless! If you don't know about Chris Thile, check out his band, the Punch Brothers. The guy's a genius, bona fide.
I grew up an grew old listening to you, David. Sad over your passing😥but so very grateful 🌟for the opportunities I had to see you perform, especially with Graham, and Stephen and Neil.🌈
Wow! This is an amazingly lovely version of this song. So well done. When an artist is part of a band as was David, we don't realize just how talented he really was in his own right. RIP Mr. C. and thank you for leaving us with your catalog of great music.💔
Another legend gone too soon, even if he got to 81. A truly fantastic artist, and what a back catalogue of incredible songs, with truly ICONIC bands! R.I.P DAVID CROSBY
I can't think of a more effortlessly beautiful and perfect singer than David Crosby. So smooth and tasteful on his own, with others his harmonies were heavenly. Thanks for the best bits of the Byrds and CSN / CSN&Y. Farewell, Croz.
How can someone be so kind, gentle, warm, emotional, loyal and be incredibly significant in steering and defining the music genre of his kind over the last 50 plus years? David Crosby can.
It wasn't all roses and peppermint. Research the history of David Crosby. Nevertheless, I love David Crosby. He is beyond just merely worthy in this mulitverse.
He had to overcome his demons. But, they all did drugs & indulged in the other rock star stuff. Lots of bands had conflicts. The difference was that these guys had a special gift when performing as CSN. I think they should have kept the gripes private.
When music seeps out of your pores No matter age or past it continues, persists. This man is the very epitome of survival, talent and music in and of itself. ☘
David Crosby is a child of God with an angelic voice👼 So happy for David to have found his talented musician son-who at birth had been given to the nuns to place for adoption. God is awesome. God is LOVE. Music is LOVE👼
Beautiful song, even more beautiful man. What a BLESSING he is to our ears...and to this complicated world we live in. Thank you, sir, for all the years of music I have had to pleasure of hearing....it started when I saw you that evening back in August of 1969...along with over 250,000 mesmerized people. sigh wouldn't it be such a lovely thing to have that kind of love, peace, harmony of that long weekend restored all over this planet...to have everyone live and let live ...in peace.
this is amazing! I just saw him 2 days ago in Rome and he was incredible. this song is one of my all time favorites. it's so incredibly written that Miles Davis covered it. MILES DAVIS!!!
Chris was barely born when this song came out and yet as a student of music history he brings David Crosby to his show and has the talent to enhance a song like Guinnevere. So lucky are we.
Chris wasn't even a twinkle in his daddy's eye when Crosby wrote this song in 1968, I remember it from DejaVu album around 1971. Chris was born in 1981.
This is such a treat, I can only imagine the feeling Chris Has of getting to fill Graham Nash's formidable role in those harmonies. Music is Love another old song once put it.
My whole body is covered with goosebumps. I am THERE - the first time I heard this impossibly dense, beautiful and mystical song. Nothing short of spiritual even for a pagan.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY wherever you may be. Glad you were born. Had a kinda tough life in many ways but you can tell, under it all, he was a beautiful soul. Peace and Love Y'all
Such a star juice coming out of my earpieces, my eyes closed. Crying, alone, while the beauty and the heat of the voice and the true notes, levigated and mediated by time and experience, leaving the will to amaze to younger people, slowly but consistently flow out of the speakers. This mature tune, and its very right amount of sapiently chosen notes, blends in well with my soul, and fills my hart.
Can't believe he still sounds so good at his age, I think he has mellowed, not so much of a rampant ego anymore,! I think he finally found out that the drugs don't work, but it took a long time coming! Lol
Cros just took Thile on a ride that any musician would love to go on. Chris was being schooled in a very good way, if just by Crosby looking at him and smiling followed immediately by his serious, thousand mile gaze that goes right through Chris. It's as if Cros touches down for a second or two to acknowledge the humans, then he's instantly back up there with the old souls who did it right this time around.
RIP David, your music has meant so much to me thru the years. Thanks for the joy you have given me.
He always bragged in his later years how his guitar came from Nazareth

Croz took part of my youth with him when he passed today. Peace.

I am so saddened by our losing him today. Thankyou David Crosby for everything
Guinnevere will never sound the same, such a sad sad day. Love you David and your music! Rest in peace!
I was there that night, golden memories never tarnish.
RIP David Crosby. Your music is part of my life always

The documentary is directed by Cameron Crowe, not Russell C.
I almost cut your hair

He was as good as the musicians he was with, CSN&Y no better or worse. Like most whose egos keep them on the stage, his voice left sometime ago.
Listen to Graham Nash sing, you will see the difference
Love this tune. RIP David Crosby. One of a kind. 1-19-2023.
I was a teenager in love when this song landed on me so very hard. Thanks, man, that was a kick. Rest in power, glory, and color.

My good friend flew all the way from Oregon to Rome to see that show. He said it was incredible - the best band Croz has ever had.
What a beautiful soul David was. He will be missed, immensely.

One of my FAVORITE CSN songs!!!! Well now we know it's thanks to that smooooooth vocal of DC. You are wonderful 😊
My whole body is covered with goosebumps. I am THERE - the first time I heard this impossibly dense, beautiful and mystical song. Nothing short of spiritual even for a pagan.
Fantastic matching with sophisticated mandolin play.... Enjoyed deeply.

Hes taken good care of that liver...our benefit as well.
