Diamond did it so much better
How Sammy got away with rarely singing old VH yet his solo stuff is interspersed throughout the concerts is baffling.
This must have been one of Eds good shows from this tour. Definitely a song that Sam does well on but his voice is too strong for it lol. Definitely more suited for Roths lower blues style
Standard tuning sounds weird. Also Ed was all about harmonizers and Al’s Simmons pads really date this.
Didn't they play mostly back catalog? I woulda been po'd if I paid to see VAN HALEN and didn't get 75% Diamond Dave material.
5150 tour was all new stuff. Only a couple of songs from DLR era.
Ah nope Dave is the man Hagar did his part but Roth is in the heavyweight frontman category and that’s a short list.
Dave is the better frontman but Sammy is a better singer
Why does hagaar sound like 2020 dlr? Lol
Hagar just sucks the life out of the few DLR tunes he sings. No wonder he doesn't sing very many. No vibe, no attitude. Just sounds bland and generic.
