  • A quick video showing my test setup for verifying the lamp timer modules for ET-LAD60W/AW replacement projector lamps. The bare bulb has already been verified on a ballast. Now this is how the timer modules are verified.

    Good one. I need to spend some more time on these type of lamps with timer. They are a pain in the backside.

    What does white dots or dead pixels mean? Lamp? Color wheel? Chip?

      I think I replied on your other comment but if not, the DMD chip would be the cause of the spots.

    Hi, your videos are very useful. Is there any way to contact you to describe my problem with BenQ W2000? Shortly I cleaned it after bulb explosion, replaced bulb, and now it doesn't turn on but power indicator flashing every 10-15 seconds. I have videos and photos how it flashing but can't attach it on RUclips.

      @@FixitFrank Thanks for your help, man. Cause BenQ support just offered me to send them projector for diagnostics)
      The problem was too simple. It was about that fuse button that need to be pushed. I didn't assemble the projector case tightly enough and plastic case lid above the lamp didn't fit perfectly so it couldn't push a fuse button. And when it's not pushed but the projector's connected to outlet - POWER led flashes as I described.

    Still want to do some sort of trade for a Sim2?

    • @FixitFrank
      @FixitFrank  Год назад

      I would except I don't think I have anything that you would really want. I have a few higher end units but I doubt you would want them. I have a JVC-DLARS40 and a Digital Projection Dvision 30 XL (7K lumen model). I did end up with a Christie laser (dwu55gs) which I am currently running. I suspect the Sim2 is nicer than either of the other models I listed.

      @@FixitFrank Just looking for a good 1080 projector..the Sim2 does me no good as the throw distance doesn't work for any room I have. it just collects dust.
      You would swap for the JVC?
