Watching this today as I wait for my local Best Buy to open so I can grab my copy of Chronicles. Been playing this series for almost 15 years! Great retrospective! This was a delight! Would have loved to hear snippets of your personal experiences playing the game too!
Thank you, really glad you enjoyed it! Excited to grab TGA Chronicles myself today also, haha. At the very end of the video I do actually give a bit of my personal experiences with the series, but it’s pretty short.
Ace Attorney is my all-time favourite video game series. (Followed closely by the Danganronpa series.) I've been a die-hard fan since the first game was released outside of Japan. I'm still waiting and hoping for Ace Attorney 7 as well as GK2 being released in the west. I also wouldn't mind a continuation of the Anime or another spin-off or crossover game. More Ace Attorney content is always welcome. Furthermore it's a big dream to visit an Ace Attorney Café one day and to go to an Ace Attorney orcherstra concert. This 20th Anniversary Retrospective video was really awesome. Thank you for making it.
Thank you so much, really glad you enjoyed it! It really is a great series. I’m curious to see how they handle everything moving forward. Yamazaki left Capcom last year so if they do make AA7 I’ll be curious to see if Takumi returns to direct or if they’ll pull in someone else. I imagine we may hear something during TGS or closer to the official 20th anniversary in October. Fingers crossed for some good news!
Spirt of Justice was released in 2016... wow we need another main series game soon. What sold me on AA was the great writing the story had and likable the characters are. What a simple concept that was so good and went so far.
Dual Destinies is so underrated. It changed the series forever in a good way. The cases were interesting and had likable characters, (For the most part) introduced great new gameplay mechanics, and improved the graphics in really good ways. Not to mention the soundtrack for it is THE BEST in the game. Not getting to see Gumshoe or Maya may have been a tough pill to swallow, but the game is by far the best in the series. I know a lot of fans don’t like it, but I’ve never came to understand why. Turnabout for Tomorrow is also the best case in the game followed by Farewell my Turnabout. The buildup to it and the finale just perfectly summed up the game.
DD was a lot of fun and had a really well-paced story. It was definitely a good way for the mainline series to return after a long hiatus. It’s not my favorite game in the series, but I certainly enjoyed it. Would love to see it get ported to modern consoles in an AA4-6 collection!
I just finished AA Trilogy. Wow. Just wow. The Bridge Tournabout was a sensational ending. Dahlia is a demon!!! I know the next game that was released was Apollo Justice, but since the Edgeworth spinoff are set beween AA3 and Apollo Justice, I'm going to play those first, specially since I'm already familiar with Edgeworth and Gumshoe, but not this new guy Apollo.
That’s awesome, glad you’re enjoying them! The AA Investigation games are definitely a lot of fun and the second one is considered by much of the community to be one of the top tier titles in the series. Apollo Justice in my opinion is still really good, but a VERY slow burn. The Great Ace Attorney games are, in my opinion, as good as the original trilogy, but not really connected to the main series storyline (and also start very slow too). Look forward to hear what you think of the other games.
@@RewindArcade Hey man, I just finished Turnabout Airlines from Investigations and it was so good. I was going to wait to play all games to reply but I'm enjoying this game so much and I'm only 2 episodes in. Love the gameplay, it feels to weird to actually control a moving sprite, but so fun. The innocent flight attendant was very likeable and cute, I hope she appears in other episodes (tho I doubt it). What a great franchise this is.
@@RewindArcade Hey man, what's up? Life got in the way and it took me so long to get started again with these games... finished Prosecutor's Path and holy shit what a good game. Both games really. Interconnected cases forming an overarching killer story each. So god damn good. And the fan translation is amazing. Well not that I speak japanese to check it, but not a single line of text felt awkward or off. Kudos to them. It's a shame that the game wasn't localized, but moreover, a quick Google search tells me most of these characters never appear again in the franchise? Judge Courtney should have at least. I'm halway thru case #2 in Apollo Justice now. I'm a little confused on the timeline, but I can't search, because of spoilers. How can Phoenix have a 15yo daughter? He's never mentioned her in the Trilogy and she would have been what, between 6 and 8? Weird. Trucy is adorable AF. As was Maya and Kay. These games are just so god damn good. The panty snatcher subplot was hilarious. Japan at its finest lol.
That’s awesome! Yeah, the Edgeworth games are very standalone and separate from the mainline series (still canon though). Glad you enjoyed the fan translation, they did a great job! Apollo Justice takes place 7 years (I believe?) after Trials and Tribulations. Trucy is Wright’s adopted daughter which is why she’s older, haha. The last case in AJ is especially good, hope you enjoy it!
I am not into visual novels nor into point-and-click adventure games, and I am not into Anime either, but I love the Ace Attorney series. It's the only reason I've touched a Nintendo DS at all, since I am not into handheld or mobile gaming either. This series is really something special. I am going through The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles now, and have also dusted off the old DS to play the Gyakuten Saiban 2 fan translation. I wish Layton vs. Wright, Dual Destinies, and Spirit of Justice would have gotten a Switch rerelease but I am actually strongly considering buying a 3DS/2DS off the second hand market now just for the Ace Attorney "fix" while 3DS prices are still relatively low!
That’s awesome, it’s an amazing series that really transcends past both those genres! While I don’t foresee Layton vs Phoenix Wright ever getting a re-release, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a collection on Switch of AA4-6 if The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles sells well enough.
Your video overview of the Ace Attorney franchise was incredible. I'm amazed at how much work you've put into this video, meticulously detailing the process of each game in the series. As a huge long time Ace Attorney fan, I'm proud to give your video a comment and a review here! Great job!
Thanks a ton, that really means a lot especially coming from a big fellow fan of the series! Appreciate you watching and cheers to another 20 years of Ace Attorney!
Damn, you did a really good job condensing a timeline of the releases. Definitely love the editing and your voice is easy to listen to! Worth a sub and looking forward to more videos.
Actually there is one thing you forgot to mention why ppl love this game. It's their Objection! I don't know why they added voicelines but they totally add to the charm and dramatic effects of the cases.
You’re right, the voiced “Objection!” lines really do add a lot! Funnily enough, it was mentioned in the video script at one point but it got cut in a revision to try and streamline things. I do regret that decision though after thinking about it now, haha. 😅
Honestly i thought that this was and obscured and forgotten franchise, but after watching this video i've realised Capcom has given this series waaaay more support than i remembered, and there are a lot more Ace Attorney games than i thought Honestly i wouldn't worry too much, i'm sure they'll release another Ace Attorney game when we less expect it
Yeah, the series has slowed down quite a bit lately, but it really got just as many games as (if not more than) plenty of other popular Capcom franchises during its timespan.
Wow! This is a real high-effort piece, I really appreciate the work that went into this. Your sound effects keep killing me haha, never have I felt more sympathetic for Shu Takumi just doing his job
Thanks so much! I’m always happy to hear when people enjoy the extra little details I put into my videos. They definitely worked poor Takumi to the bone! Hopefully things are a little easier on him these days. 😅
35:02 I remember one popular fan theory about those segments is that (S)Herlock was making his deductions wrong on purpose to get Ryunosuke to learn deduction by correcting him. This theory mainly runs on the logic of once is a fluke, twice is a coincidence, three or more times is a pattern, and the pattern demonstrated by the segments is that every single time (S)Herlock's deduction is off, the truth is within a few feet of (S)Herlock's incorrect deduction.
That’s actually a really interesting fan theory! After playing through the study, that feels pretty inline with Sholmes’ character. Pretty cool observation!
I just discover Ace Attorney just 3 months ago, and this game already had a special place in my heart 😊 This game taught me so many lessons, and I love it when they don't try to shove them into us by repeating everytime. They just casually leave them in the story or some of the dialogue for us to think about.
I remember some other anime used the animations of older games to parody the games. I don't know the name, but it was funny seeing the Edgeworth and Wright animations done in such a way. Edit: Haruhi Suzumiya is the one that had the reference
Man, if I could write about how much I love Ace Attorney I’d be here all day. I’m very glad I was shown this game back in 2019 as a kid because it itched the little need I had for mystery and detective media. I love this game with all my heart and I really do hope I get to see another game or at least a spiritual successor before I die (yes, I know saying something like that is EXTREMELY dramatic but you have to understand me here, these games are good)
That’s awesome, they are amazing games with incredibly well written stories and very memorable characters. The Great Ace Attorney was a great spin-off so I’d love to see more like that. I’d also highly recommend checking out Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, another one of Shu Takumi’s games. It’s not quite the same as Ace Attorney, but the writing and gameplay are both top notch and the game is very underrated. 👍
Felt like rewathing this again to reminisce about the 20th Anniversary and wow it already has this many views! Congrats! You deserve it for making this truly special love letter to the series and its history!
First of all, very nice production of the video. You did it so well. Second. This video also answers my long time question about this series which was "Why I can't relate to Apollo (in Apollo Justice) and the later 2 Ace Attorney games (Dual & Spirit)?". I feel like the 2 directors have a very distinctive style of directing/scriptwriting in their minds. Shu's is using the tense/dark tone of crime and focusing on a soft sarcastic on JPN real life laws ("Guilty before proved innocent") which made the story very dense and interesting but a bit too difficult. The writing of The Great AA is, IMO, his finest work to date. While the other is a tone down, softer and brighter. This is not a bad thing and it makes the series more attractive to new player of the series.
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it! I 100% agree with you about preferring Takumi’s scenario writing over Yamazaki’s. It just feels better thought out and has that slightly darker style to it that I prefer. TGA was a nice breath of fresh air since it was a completely different setting with all new characters. If they continue the series, I’d personally much rather see Takumi continue to cover different descendants of Phoenix Wright in the same style of TGA. I’m not sure if you’ve played Ghost Trick, but that may very well be my favorite writing Shu Takumi has ever done. It gets a little ridiculous at times, but its story is so well crafted and thought out.
Interestingly enough, almost a month ago, we finally managed to get an Apollo Justice Trilogy physical release on the Switch, meaning we finally now got Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice released in physical format compared to when it was released in the West as only on digital release... What a great time to be an AA fan! 😁
I am sure one time in a period in time that Ace Attorney memes went viral all of a sudden, Takumi felt overwhelmingly proud of himself of how he gave direction to the inspiration of the newer generations.
When I first heard of this series, I thought the concept was kinda silly, but when I played the first trilogy in 2019 this series is now tied for my favorite franchise ever.
@@RewindArcade The reason I gave this series a shot was mainly because of the music, I heard a few of the songs in a video once(Being objection 2001 and cornered) and that made me want to give this series a shot, and at the time I also learned that the first trilogy is being remastered so that was the perfect chance for me to try the series. And man it was so worth it.
Appreciate it! My intention was to hopefully convince people that haven't played the series before to give it a shot and it would be tough to convince them if I spoiled a lot of the major story points, haha.
Hands down the best visual novel in my opinion. For real, the legacy of Ace Attorney is really something to admire and know. The idea of play as an attorney and go in courts was something no one could expect to be so funny, amazing and deep in story. Seriously, Ace Attorney is a great series and it's legacy shows it off. The lot of media and references found in a lot of other franchises shows how this franchise earned its reputation. Absolutely wonderful video! Knowing that this year Ace Attorney is 20 years old really means something. Hope Capcom has something for us to celebrate it, now that The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is out!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! It’s definitely a special series and one that really has earned its respected legacy. TGAA Chronicles was amazing and if the rumors/leaks are correct we’ll be hearing about a new game in the not so distant future.
Thank you for this amazing retrospective! I am very surprised and shook with the lack of views from this amazing video! Keep up the amazing work. Congrats for earning a new subscriber!
Fun fact: I don‘t know if someone already mentioned it, but the first Ace Attorney game had already been ported once to IOS before the 2012 HD Trilogy. It was basically just the DS game, but with some UI changes, so that it could be properly played on IOS devices
Agreed, I’m a huge fan of Nuri’s art! His first AA game was actually the extra case in AA1, but yeah, Apollo Justice was when he full-on took over the series.
Great retrospective! It reminds me of the old days, I remember in 2006 when everybody was posting "OBJECTION" memes. I heard the Great Ace Attorney didn't sell too well in Japan, they only made the 2nd one as a favour to Takemi, so I wonder what the future of the series is.
Thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed it!! You're right, sadly Dai Gyakuten Saiban did not not perform all that well in Japan so I'm amazed it got another chance in the Great Ace Attorney Chronicles collection. I'm not too sure how the sales numbers were on it though. I know Takumi did some writing work on the Monster Hunter Stories 2 questlines, but I have no idea what else he's been working on. Things have been very quiet with him recently which could be either a good sign or a bad sign. Time will tell I suppose. Thanks again for watching!
I'm late, but this is absolutely brilliant! You covered everything, even the side-games stuff like where Phoenix turns into an animal (lol). In my opinion, the first three games will always be the best for me. It was an amazing plot throughout the whole thing and so interesting.
Thanks a ton, happy you enjoyed it! The original trilogy has been my favorite in the series for quite a while, but after playing through the Great Ace Attorney games recently, they are right up there with it. Thanks for watching!
There is a part of Phoenix Wright that not a lot of people know, because it's not actually an official thing, but a very much fan-made project: "Turnabout Storm" and "Elements of Justice". They are two fan-made project that combine the world of Phoenix and My Little Pony. There is also a third now abandoned project: My Little Investigations, which is basically a trial but only in the world of My Little Pony, without Phoenix, whereas in the first two he is actually involved in the cases
Oh wow, I'm definitely going to look into these today! I'm certainly curious very curious. Sometimes the best part of these videos is learning about the things I either missed or didn't know about so I appreciate you bringing these up.
@@SteveLego Thank you!! I watched some of the footage and was pretty impressed with the writing and amount of work that had been put into them. Really interesting stuff, thanks for sharing!
Kinda sad that Sprit of Justice was the Last game and then we were all left in the Dark Edit: Just Saw The Announcement For The Apollo Justice Trilogy, There’s Hope For Ace Attorney 7!
It seems like Shu Takumi has been brought back into the limelight lately with Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and the Ghost Trick remaster which could hopefully mean a new AA game in the not so distant future. I guess time will tell…
26:12 What do you mean? Guilty until proven innocent is all ace attorney trials. There's been plenty of times where you've proved the defendants innocence but they would still be found guilty unless you find the real culprit :P
So in Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright, they are very specific about the court's mob-like behavior and the judge is usually more than willing to throw a guilty verdict at your defendant without the prosecution needing any proof or using logic. Phoenix even reacts to it specifically during the first trial in the game saying it's nothing like the courtroom's he's previously been in.
The pacing of this video is incredible, matched up with the orchestra arrangement very well ^^ It also makes me quite happy to be part of history, knowing that development and localization of The great Ace Attorney had a happing ending after all ^w^
Thank you, very much appreciate the kind words! And I agree, I'm happy The Great Ace Attorney finally was localized in the end. Now if only Investigations 2 could get the same treatment. :)
This is amazing! your work is great. Please do a Resident Evil history doc too, or maybe a Capcom history like you're doing with the Final Fantasy Union.
Thanks so much! I’m trying to focus more on series and companies that haven’t gotten as much coverage, but an early history of Capcom video might actually be a lot of fun to make!
Here after seeing the Nintendo direct and after trying to look for Psyche Lock info xD for those fans of Miles Edgeworth WE GETTING BOTH GAMES BABYYYYYYY the first Investigations and finally the second after so looooong!
This was a real treat - so much I didn't know about the series and this video filled in my knowledge gaps beautifully. Thank you! :) By the way, where did you come across that image at 41:11 containing practically the whole cast?
Considering that Phoenix's story was supposed to wrap up with the end of T&T, and with how inconsistent the next three games are written and feel at times, for the sake of still enjoying my AA content I'm choosing to just separate the trilogy, AJ and DD+SoJ into their own separate universes. _'What if'_ or _'it could be like that'_ sort of way. I get to enjoy cases and side characters without my critical brain getting in the way too much, and the games get away with questionable writing choices. Win-win! :P Thank you very much for the video, btw! You did a great job with condensing lots of information into one well-edited video~
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, DD and SoJ felt very different than the original trilogy and AJ. While I think Yamazaki is far from a bad writer and still did a good job with his two mainline entries, his style is certainly different than Takumi's which is a bit jarring at times. I'm curious to see if Takumi returns for the rumored AA7 since Yamazaki left Capcom last year.
@@RewindArcade _If_ Takumi ever comes back to the mainline AA, I wonder what would he do with the plot/characters... If not reset the timeline in some way, maybe he'd make a stronger character out of Athena _(I don't hate her! She just deserves better, I think :P)_ It's fun to speculate~
That’s a really good question! I think Athena as a character certainly needs some work and I’d love to see Apollo have more time in the spotlight. I suppose we’ll have to wait and see what actually happens though, haha.
That’s awesome! TGA Chronicles is definitely some of the best series has to offer next to the original trilogy. I highly recommend checking out Shu Takumi’s Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective also if the rumors end being true and it gets a re-release soon.
your video was so great, i even had goosebumps! crazy how a simple idea could result to this. honestly tgaa showed how much potential this series still has, and i really hope we'll have a new tgaa game or a new aa one.
Thanks, it sure was a blast to watch this! :D As AA turned out to be one of my all time favorites, as I come back to it again and again, watching this fully supports my opinion on it. It's not just nostalgia but hopes in the future and more joy on (re)playing some of the games. Thank you again! :)

I remembered your voice and I was like: „yep that guy from Katamari“:D Your videos are a soooooooo well done!!! I really appreciate it, please keep your passion and take your time😍

@@RewindArcade I plan on playing some of the spin off next. I'm considering either playing the Miles Edgeworth games next or The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles haven't decided yet. Anyway keep up the good work man. 👍
I think (unless we get more spinoffs where there’s all kinds of opportunities) we really only need one more mainline AA title. Just tie up the loose ends that Spirit of Justice left and be done with it. I do love the Apollo justice trilogy, but if the creator believed it shouldn’t have continued after T&T , then it REALLY doesn’t need to keep going after whatever comes of AA7 assuming that ever happens
I have been really getting into Ace Attorney. This was a great video for me as a starting new fan! Also your voicework and editing is very solid. You deserve more subs man.
Thanks so much for the kind words and glad you are getting into the series! They are great games and I think you'll have a really fun time playing through them.

Nice! Yeah, the AAI feel similar to the mainline series but also very much different too in a good way. Glad to hear you’re enjoying it!
One of my fave series of all time! Who would've thought that a game focusing on law would be so awesome and addicting?
For such an odd game idea, it really does work so well!
@@RewindArcade Indeed! Hopefully AA7 will be announced sooner or later.:)
The exact 20th anniversary date is almost exactly 2 months from today. Maybe we’ll hear something at TGS.
Damn, that was such a good retrospective video. Can't wait to see your next content! ;)
Thanks, appreciate it!
Thanks a ton! I appreciate the kind words. More are on the way! 👍
This is fantastic man.You have some serious talent. So glad I recently found your channel.
Thanks so much!!
This is one of the fee times I would agree with a company milking a character having phoenix in Apollo justice was a brilliant move
Update! Apollo Justice trilogy is upcoming on early 2024! For Switch, PS4, xbox one and steam
Isn't it going to come out on Ps5 and Xbox SeX ? Sounds weird for capcom to ignore those
I just found out myself, I'm really excited
Honestly i thought that this was and obscured and forgotten franchise, but after watching this video i've realised Capcom has given this series waaaay more support than i remembered, and there are a lot more Ace Attorney games than i thought
Honestly i wouldn't worry too much, i'm sure they'll release another Ace Attorney game when we less expect it
Yeah, the series has slowed down quite a bit lately, but it really got just as many games as (if not more than) plenty of other popular Capcom franchises during its timespan.
Never played any of these, but I've seen the series mentioned in threads online. I had no idea the depth of it. Nice work, Chris.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
One thing I got from this.
People actually like Apollo :)
Hey, I like Apollo! 😂😂😂
AA Fans: We want more Apollo!
Capcom: ok
AA Fans: We want less Apollo!
Capcom: What?
AA Fans: We want more Athena!
Capcom: I'm done.
I just discover Ace Attorney just 3 months ago, and this game already had a special place in my heart 😊
This game taught me so many lessons, and I love it when they don't try to shove them into us by repeating everytime. They just casually leave them in the story or some of the dialogue for us to think about.
They definitely have some of the best writing in any video game series!
Ok... This is just underated in it's prime. I really loved your style and editing! Good job.
Thanks a ton, glad you enjoyed it!
I remember some other anime used the animations of older games to parody the games. I don't know the name, but it was funny seeing the Edgeworth and Wright animations done in such a way.
Edit: Haruhi Suzumiya is the one that had the reference
Oh definitely, it’s great haha!
I randomly found this on my recomended and now I am obsessed with ace attorney
That’s awesome, it is an amazing series! Have you played any of them before?
@@RewindArcade played AA 1 until halfway through turnabout samurai
Felt like rewathing this again to reminisce about the 20th Anniversary and wow it already has this many views! Congrats! You deserve it for making this truly special love letter to the series and its history!
I really appreciate the kind words and support! I've found the Ace Attorney community is made up (mostly) of so many awesome and positive people!
That’s awesome! I’ve met a lot of people that have never even given it a try which kind of breaks my heart a little.
The music in the series is phenomenal so I’m not surprised it pulled you in. I still listen to the soundtracks regularly even to this day.
I’ve only just got into phoenix wright but I’m already in love with it. I never knew there were so many games though😅
That’s awesome, it’s a great series! There are definitely a lot of spin off games though.
I LOVE SO VERY MUCH WHEN PHOENIX WRIGHT SAYS:: OBJECTION!
How do you and this video not have a billion people watching. This is amazing quality! Thank you so much!!!
Thanks so much Jessica, really happy you enjoyed it and I appreciate the kind words!!
This is such a high quality video - thanks for all your hard work!
Really appreciate that! Thanks so much for watching!
i like how this video has no spoilers, great video
Appreciate it! My intention was to hopefully convince people that haven't played the series before to give it a shot and it would be tough to convince them if I spoiled a lot of the major story points, haha.
It's the perfect mix of characters, music, story, and game play
Agreed!
@@RewindArcade this was amazing by the way, great work man. Very appreciated
Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it!!
the reason this game is memorable for me is the music from the first game the soundtrack was something fresh and good for once
Such a great soundtrack, agreed!
This video is so professionally created! I would believe that Capcom created this. Great work!
Thanks a ton, really appreciate the kind words and glad you enjoyed the video!
For anyone else hooked on the music here: Gyakuten Meets Orchestra is the album
Hopefully Ace Attorney 7 will be announced this year. Got bit sad at end of this video(
Definitely hoping they do something big for the series’ 20th anniversary. At the very least I’d love a collection that includes 4-6.
@@RewindArcade hey, i got some news capcom already have trademark for apollo justice could it be remastered of apollo justice or else
I saw that, fingers crossed!
As long as people are enjoying the content, that’s what makes me happy. I appreciate the kind words and thanks for watching!
Fun fact: I don‘t know if someone already mentioned it, but the first Ace Attorney game had already been ported once to IOS before the 2012 HD Trilogy.
It was basically just the DS game, but with some UI changes, so that it could be properly played on IOS devices
I also like that they switched artists with Kazuya Nuri starting with AA4....(I think that’s his name lol)
Agreed, I’m a huge fan of Nuri’s art! His first AA game was actually the extra case in AA1, but yeah, Apollo Justice was when he full-on took over the series.
Brilliant work. Thanks for putting it all together so nicely and informatively.
Appreciate the kind words, glad you enjoyed it!!
I thought the "you're not a clown, you're the entire circus" meme was in the game, but turns out... I was the circus all along...
I wish for a new Ace Attorney from Shu Takumi!
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles just being released is a good sign that Capcom hasn’t completely forgotten the franchise. 👍
Yep and I am very happy the ace attorney franchise is still going!
Goddamn they really did overwork Takumi for that series 😭💀
I'm late, but this is absolutely brilliant! You covered everything, even the side-games stuff like where Phoenix turns into an animal (lol). In my opinion, the first three games will always be the best for me. It was an amazing plot throughout the whole thing and so interesting.
Thanks a ton, happy you enjoyed it! The original trilogy has been my favorite in the series for quite a while, but after playing through the Great Ace Attorney games recently, they are right up there with it. Thanks for watching!
A great video that really makes the Ace Attorney series clear as crystal! And a great history too! Thanks!
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it!!
Play Great Ace Attorney, even if you've never played older games.
It's a masterpiece.
It’s crazy how people a game I’ve never played is so culturally popular!
okay but can we all please appreciate how well this video was made-
Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it!

It seems like Shu Takumi has been brought back into the limelight lately with Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and the Ghost Trick remaster which could hopefully mean a new AA game in the not so distant future. I guess time will tell…
This video is outdated. All of Ace Attorney is now officially localized.
(Video updated in court record)
26:12 What do you mean? Guilty until proven innocent is all ace attorney trials. There's been plenty of times where you've proved the defendants innocence but they would still be found guilty unless you find the real culprit :P
So in Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright, they are very specific about the court's mob-like behavior and the judge is usually more than willing to throw a guilty verdict at your defendant without the prosecution needing any proof or using logic. Phoenix even reacts to it specifically during the first trial in the game saying it's nothing like the courtroom's he's previously been in.
Kind of strange that i fell in love with the spin offs more than the mainline games
The spin offs are great! I agree, some of them are on par or better than the mainline series games.
The pacing of this video is incredible, matched up with the orchestra arrangement very well ^^
It also makes me quite happy to be part of history, knowing that development and localization of The great Ace Attorney had a happing ending after all ^w^
Thank you, very much appreciate the kind words! And I agree, I'm happy The Great Ace Attorney finally was localized in the end. Now if only Investigations 2 could get the same treatment. :)
I love this series hence the pfp ;d
I adore these games and thanks for bringing to the spotlight my favourite game franchise:)
Thanks, I’m a huge fan as well so I’m happy to hear that other fans think I did a good job. Appreciate you watching!
Duel destinies was released on iOS years before Apollo justice, so I got the storyline all out of order. Needless to say I was very confused. 😆
Yeah, playing everything out of order has got to be pretty confusing, haha.
I've watched this video so many times and I still love watching it as a play through the entire ace attorney franchise Great Work!

Hahaha! Sorry, this is a re-upload that fixed some audio issues. 😅

@@RewindArcade Much appreciated, man! Thank you so much!
Win-win! :P
Thank you very much for the video, btw!
She just deserves better, I think :P)_
It's fun to speculate~
That’s a really good question! I think Athena as a character certainly needs some work and I’d love to see Apollo have more time in the spotlight. I suppose we’ll have to wait and see what actually happens though, haha.
What a wonderfully put together video! I appreciate the exciting overview.
