Any tricks to getting the cables to detach from the APIM? I was able to get the largest cable undone, buy the two towards the back left were impossible for me
How can You properly program new apim with sync4 going from 3, those are not compatible so Y can’t just copy as build data from 3 and paste in to 4 with forscan
Im trying to figure out how to put a 12" screen in my 2017 F250 So I can't wait for your video on how to program the APIM . The scam website you speak of sell a 12" screen kit with the dash conversion parts for 2017-2022 F250 . I don't want to take a chance dealing with them but so far they are the only company I've seen that offers this kit.. Do you have any suggestions on how or where I can get those parts so it will look like a factory install? My truck has the 4" screen and sync 1. There are a couple company's that sell the conversion kits for going from a 4" to 8" screen and sync 1 to sync 3 which requires a conversion wiring harness like the one you were modifying but I'd much rather have the 12"screen if it can be done. I was already trying to figure out how to source the parts and program the APIM myself to save some money instead of buying one of those kits so I'm really looking forward to your video on how to do that with fourscan.
Well you basically just have to buy the parts - a 12" screen, a OEM 12-Inch Capacitive Touchscreen Climate Control Bezel Harness Third Switch 12'' APIM(Optonal) You may have better luck getting parts from a junkyard.
@@RedneckGarage The dash bezel, AC vents, and climate control nobs are the parts I can't find. They are all different than the 2017 dash and I'm not sure if I can make the parts from a 2022+ truck fit or not. I'm not sure how the fordsync4 are sourcing their parts weather they are just used 2022 + parts or if they are custom making them. I was already not trusting this company before I saw your review and that just sealed the deal for me. I can always just upgrade to the 8" factory screen and sync 3 but I'd rather have the 12 " screen and sync4 but I don't think it's ever been done by anyone yet (at least I can't find any info or videos on it). I'd love to figure this out and solve this problem for every one else wanting the same thing.
