Optionally, go for a drive during the installation (after the download) and instead of turning the ignition off and back on, just press and hold the Power & Seek forward buttons until the infotainment system restarts. That last thing is good to know for when the infotainment locks up \ freezes.
hey this was helpful, thanks for posting this. Would be interesting to see what the update fixed or changed....if you notice any difference...improvements anywhere.
I hope it fixes the problem with when you get a phone call I have to hit the speaker button on my phone to get any sound through the speakers to be able to talk
@@Balt9mm Around the time I posted that, the "game controller Titanic Submarine" story was still in the news. Do my knowledge plugging in a USB game controller doesn't do anything at all though I wouldn't be surprised if a keyboard or a mouse didn't work in some capacity as this is a customized Android device system where apps can be side-loaded. On the other hand, if I were to try to side-load any of the game emulators such as SNES or the like, I would expect to be able to use the game controller as well.
I got my hybrid in Jan 2022 and it has the 2.1xxxxx 22362A presently. last time at dealer was 2 weeks ago for recalls. (Montreal, QC) I haven't notice any difference.
Really dumb question, is there anywhere in the Maverick or the infotainment system to physically plug into your network? My Maverick is being delivered this week, from my driveway to my router is about 30’ close enough I expect the Wi-Fi to work fine, but close enough to just plug in a CAT5 cable, toss it out the window and plug directly into the truck. Can’t expect that dealerships do these updates over Wi-Fi, probably a USB stick, or a direct connection. Thanks for posting.
To my knowledge, there is going to be nowhere for you to plug that CAT5 cable into. That WOULD be cool though. I hope you enjoy that Mav when you get it. Seriously one of the best vehicles I've owned. Drives like a Subaru and functions as a pickup
Most important question: What does the update "fix"? What does it ADD? What does it REMOVE? We've all been hearing/reading a lot about anti-consumer/anti-ownership things companies are doing and we all know Ford patented the "self-reposessing car" which we all know would NEVER be used by law enforcement. intelligence or any hackers out there right? RIGHT?
In most vehicles, the infotainment is a separate entity from the functions of the vehicle. If an update exist for that, the dealer would likely need to do that.
I have a 2023 xlt and I seem to actually getting better mileage in "Normal" mode (at least according to the mileage display). I got 538 miles out of my first full tank driving entirely in "Normal" mode, but only 489 miles out of my second tank driving in "Eco" mode. I'm currently 130 miles until my next fill up so in about 4-5 days (Jan 20) will be my fourth full tank since I took delivery on Nov 10. Roughly 10 weeks. What I find puzzling, tho...the dash display says my Hybrid is averaging 39,9 mpg but when I do the actual math of total miles (1560) to gallons (55.2) over those 10 weeks, it comes out to 28.2 mpg. If that's actually accurate, I was getting better mileage with my Scion xB averaging 32 mpg. Makes me wonder if Ford is grading their own report cards via computer algorithms.
I am having problems with my 23 maverick with the volume not going past level 14? Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it? I tried all updates and resetting everything.
The new update allows them to brick your truck if you don't make a payment. Ha Ha. Don't think I will update without knowing what the facts of the update are. I like facts before making decisions.
Thank you for this video! I will be doing an update on my Ford Maverick!
No problem! Hope it helps!
Excellent! Thank you. I did this Monday but no joy. I didn't know the "scan twice" trick. Thank you!
Thank you for the tip on going back in! Trying to sort a phone call audio issue and hope this works!
Appreciate your good help on getting this update accomplished! Will be giving it a try today...
I think I might die from old age waiting for the update to download and install!

Came for update info. Stayed for the music.

A bit funky but alls well that ends well. Good job! Thanks, I’m going to try it today!😊

This always happens to me. Or I have to go to audio and tap on source to switch it to iPhone.
Also, have you seen what happens when you connect a game controller to the USB port? You will be AMAZED!
Bruh what do you mean

Nice! I just tried this and I'm stuck on 1.8 LOL, maybe the 2.1 isn't ready for Canada yet

Is there a way of saving this video for latter??/ I don't see the option on this one.
What is the after effect of installing this?
Can the updates be done using the hot spot connection through my cell phone? I don't want to start something and corrupt the entire system.

Is it possible to download these updates to a thumb drive and install from there? Seems like it would be a lot faster
yes, instructions are in your manual.
Just curious, what is that button to the left of the Hazard button? My XLT doesn’t have that.
That is the Auto Start/Stop button location on the Tremor. The spot on the center console was used for something else. Probably the 4X4.
Do you need to physically do this every so often or will it automatically update?
I think if you have the auto updates turned on, it will update itself. But for that to happen your Maverick would have to be connected to wifi
pre collision assist -pg 250 owners manual -my 2023 Maverick does not work - is this a common problem?
Do we know if this update is specifically for the Ecoboost vehicles or if it applies to the hybrids as well?
I believe its for any maverick that is not SYNC 3 (lariat)
So what did they change?
I dont think they have released any notes on the update yet
@@maverickresourceany idea where they would release a statement with the updates?

i know its a cheap truck , but the software should be better. Nothing fancy, just more stable.

will this work for the lariats too?
I believe Lariats with SYNC 3 have a totally different infotainment system
Does this update fix saving the Drive Mode settings!?! In my version of the software, I am NOT able to keep it save and keep it on ECO mode!!

I had the same issue. You need to use your mykey key and go into mykey settings.
My 2023 Maverick update keeps failing, so will retry your way...
I couldn't get my Maverick to connect to my network for the life of me.

That feature is built in to all Fords the have the ford connect
Don't need software to break them ford does that for free
