To change (and lock) the splash screen AFTER you changed it once already, you have to disconnect the battery for 5-10 seconds. Then, reconnect the battery, and change to whatever screen you choose. The issue is that Ford Sync 'remembers' only ONE change. Then, you have to reset it via the battery-disconnect method.

Just a warning as I’ve done this on multiple cars. You may select an interface that isn’t compatible with your particular screen and you Could get into a situation where you can’t set it back to factory. I always find if I get into a very tricky situation like that disconnecting the negative for a couple minutes off the battery will reset to factory. Just a little help should you need it.

you probably already know this by now, but with the turn key style, inserting the key with the dead battery, the vehicle will start because the car will output a signal of sorts with a special coil and whatnot, but it’ll power the key in order to read the proper security signal. that spot in the cup holder is for the key fob, and that part is used in every F-150, not just the fob vehicles. some even have a different location along with different style interior. with the steering wheel stalk shifter, the left part of the centerpiece will have removable trim pieces that have a special slot for the key fob in that regard. it’s just different with every vehicle and truck
If you open the sliding door underneath the radio/ infront of the shifter and pull out the matt on the bottom under the usb connections there is a spot to hide your key

Did you follow exact steps?? It’s not a permanent change it’s only a temporary change it basically resets every time you restart the car. But if you put the settings for it in the radio then you can change it very easily while you’re driving
You have a different version of sync. You have sync 2. It is not compatible with sync 2. Would would have to get the whole new sync 3 unit and then it would be possible.
Note: The two keys you MUST have are required to be 'Admin' keys. You cannot program more than two Admin keys to a Ford. And you can have up to 8 MyKey fobs, that you can program. But, you have to have two Admin keys in order to program ANY other keys to the vehicle. Or else the stealership has to do it.
I click enable test and leave the vehicle with the GT sign upon shut off but when I come back to the truck later it bounces back to FORD timeless 🤷🏻♂️
I have a 2018 F150 and originally when i connected my Android phone it would display the phone's navigation to the SYNC3 screen. NOw, it no longer does this. What am i missing?
If you have multiple USB ports, try plugging into another port. And make sure the usb cable is the right type. Your vehicle has Android Auto. What you were seeing is the 'mirror' image from your phone.
Relax. The word "hack" is used as a synonym for accessing settings that are not normally acessed. Just like when you say "stomp the gas". Since fuel injection days, the ECM now controls the fuel. And the driver only controls the butterfly valve that allows air into the manifold. And if you want to be really technical, you don't even control that anymore, due to throttle by wire. Nowadays, you step on the pedal, and the ECM opens the throttle air-valve. Don't be so picky about the word "hack".....it's ok. Just chill, and enjoy life a bit more. Peace.
enable testing settings not meaning it stays all the time on the theme you chose. it means now, for accessing testing settings you’ll not have to hold the buttons on the steering and the radio, its now in your pages 🤣 don’t worry, I tried so many times and it’s not working! only way to keep it is to flash your radio on that theme with forscan

The hida key spot is for when the key battery goes dead and you have to open the door with the key as the car will think some one broke in you put the key in the hole and then you can use the key to start the car
Great video I have a 16 f150 XLT and one time after it was at dealer for something I picked it up and the heat controllers I believe were on the screen I did it before after but have forgotten how I did it

Fortunately and unfortunately this is possible however you have to use what’s called forscan to go in and enable the changes permanently. There are many video on RUclips on how to do this particular thing.
@@Sean_Hannon do not change it to Focus ST on 2020 f150. it uses the 2020 focus screen from europe which is much longer and locks you out changing the settings. for a while.
Simply choose your screen, then go back into Settings, and select the SAME theme as you just did. Now, power down the ignition, exit the truck, close all the doors, re-enter the truck, power up (but NOT start) and verify the setting.
Update, it does work on my 2017 F150. Not sure why it didn't work the 1st few times I tried it. Not sure but I think the radio needs to be on and at low volume. Thanks
Just got a 350 lariat, and unfortunately I’m pretty underwhelmed with the whole touch screen system on it. It’s non responsive, it skips, and the blue tooth connection goes in and out of connection. Haven’t been able to listen to more than ten seconds of any song or video and the way it syncs up to what’s on my iPhone screen… is like pointless. If it’s linked, why … Ugh, I dunno. Thought American made vehicles were finally stepping up their interior tech game.
Did this today on 2021 Bronco Sport Badlands Edition , had Raptor logo boot screen , then changed to Lincoln lots of fun then changed it back to Bronco brother thanks 👍

Try switching to the lower usb port. My 2019 messes up constantly.

FORscan is NOT Ford software, it is russian. There is tons of information on it in the forums. FSRS is Ford's BCM programming software.

No it’s so you can still start your truck if the key fob batteries die. Putting it in there makes it so the truck knows the key fob is present
beware that the truck may not fully go to "sleep" and cause excess battery draw overnight

Look in the Climate menu, and the seats & steering wheel heat controls are in that sub-menu.

The screen size is set up too large for the Lincoln screen to work on a 2021 F-450. Had to disconnect the batteries

They removed the GT screens from the options in a 2016 Sync 3, in the last update :(
